I’m on day 4 of giving up chocolate and crisps. So far it’s going well. Lockdown is definitely helping, no nipping to the shop to get snacks or sandwiches. I’ve lost 1.3kg this first week. I’m cooking everyday and eating healthy food.

I’m hoping to continue after lockdown too. Must lose weight, my starting weight was 172.6kg. My goal weight is 90kg. Hopefully going to Disney once I’ve lost the weight, that’s my reward.

Anyone Want to join me? What’s your goal and is lock down helping you?

Right! Easter is over! I'm back and committed. Weekend wasn't a total disaster just had a few (hundred) chocolates but horrendous in calories. My plan is to eat three nutritious meals, practice portion control, no snacks and limit calories to 1400.

Today I plan :
B bran flakes
L sandwich thin with Ham salad
T chicken goujon wrap with lots of salad

Probably have fruit around 4pm

Have a great day

NothingIsWrong · 14/04/2020 10:00

DH ambushed me with a takeaway last night. No weight gain this morning, but we'll see. Did an hours fitness blender this morning and now I'm trying to work with three kids in the house.

twinkledag · 14/04/2020 11:07

Back on track yesterday and lost 1lb this morning so pleased about that 😄

CRbear · 14/04/2020 11:55

Hi all,
Can I join? I had lost 12kg since September but having relaxed on my 30th birthday weekend and Easter- during lockdown- I fear it’s more like 10kg at the moment. I’m back on it - I like the routine of it - but I won’t weigh for a week in the hopes I’ve limited some of the damage by then!

I’m eating 3 nutritious meals, an afternoon snack when I need it and an evening curly wurly or equivalent sometimes. Planning my meals in advance on MFP helps me stick to 1500 cals ish per day. I was a lot more flexible at weekends before lockdown but I don’t think I’ll do that as much now.

Today I’ll have:

Breakfast 35g oats, 10g almond butter, 1/2 apple (75g), 15g sultanas as porridge (298 cals)

Got hungry and had a babybel for 40 cals

Lunch Lentil soup with chorizo feta (244) and sourdough toast (200)

Afternoon snack (maybe) - 4 ritz crackers (60) and a dairy Lea light triangle (40)

Smoked salmon/red pesto/cream cheese pasta and salad with 1tsp vinaigrette (650)

About 1500 total. Let’s see how I go. I’ll run too but I try not to eat exercise cals (though I will if I feel the need and don’t see much ill effect- I have an HR monitor so I’m fairly confident of what I burn)

I'm back.

Let's pretend the Easter weekend never happened shall we? It was a blip/anomaly/momentary lapse...

Back on board today anyway. I really hope I can make some progress. Going to start counting my calories now.

So far today I've had:

Orange and mango juice - 100
Twiglets - 100

Changedname78 · 14/04/2020 19:34

@satsumasunrise interesting watch! Thanks

NothingIsWrong · 14/04/2020 19:38

Today has finished passably well. I did finish my Easter egg but long walk and cardio session mean I'm not too deep in the red... just 21 calories over according to MyFitnessWanker.

Do you all eat your exercise calories? I've seen some opinion that you shouldn't, but with a target of 1250 cal/day, I can often reach 600 activity calories burnt and that would leave me eating very little...

NothingIsWrong · 14/04/2020 19:40

Still waiting for my whoosh though...

catinb0oots · 14/04/2020 19:57

Nooo I never eat exercise calories. Actually that's a lie - I do, but then I don't lose anything Angry

katcha16 · 14/04/2020 19:59

Have been reasonably "good" no chocolate (so far) I weigh on Thursday and hoping to have hit one stone lost then 🤞🏻
Feeling very picky this evening though and I have been very lazy.. working from home, being a carer for in-laws (living in annex beside us) and minding my very active 3.5 year old I find getting through the day difficult enough never mind trying to find time to exercise!
Trying to cling onto my determination to walk out of lockdown a better/healthier me!!

Firsttimelottie · 15/04/2020 09:19

Well done everyone! Keep up the positivity and determination!

Yesterday's food log:

B: porridge with chia seeds, greek yoghurt and two kiwis.
L: chickpea, carrot and celery soup
D: shredded honey garlic chicken with Jasmine rice.
S: oat milk in drinks.

Not much fruit and veg so I'll make sure I consume more today.

HotCrossBungle · 15/04/2020 09:53

Good day yesterday good wise and did some yoga, good sleep last night. Feeling better in myself and more positive. Hopped on scales this morning and am a lb down from yesterday.

7lbs to go til I'm in the overweight category so I'm keeping that in mind.

HotCrossBungle · 15/04/2020 09:53

food wise

Duckduckgosling · 15/04/2020 11:18

Decided to get off my bum and start some exercise so I downloaded the NHS couch to 5k and done my first run this morning.
I struggled but at least I've done it.

myfuckingfreezer · 15/04/2020 11:34

Morning all,

After being so on the wagon since Christmas, the last few days have been Easter and my birthday so it's been a bit off!

Haven't binged but there's lots of tasty food in the house and I need to remind myself of some habits, so will have a lovely big chicken and mozarella salad for lunch, then head out for a run later.

CRbear · 15/04/2020 12:04

I had a successful day back on it yesterday. Well I snapped and ate a large amount of sultanas and walnuts (while weighing out if I had enough for some recipes) - but offset most of that with a run so I feel good. Having the exact same meals today so that’s easy. Planning definitely key for me.

LuckyKitty13 · 15/04/2020 13:16

Well done everyone for keeping on carrying on!
I think I'm down to 11st 2 so that's 3lb off!
I'm really thinking about portion size and only eating when I'm hungry, but not limiting food groups. So yesterday I had a lie in and when I got up around 9am I wasnt hungry so I didnt have any breakfast. We had lunch at 11.30 of homemade veg soup and homemade flatbreads. I only ate half the bowl of soup as I was full- this is unheard of for me! Then dahl and roast courgette for dinner.
Today I've had toast for breakfast as made the loaf fresh this morning! And baked cauliflower and rice for lunch. Dinner will likely be more homemade bread, hummus and fruit

NothingIsWrong · 15/04/2020 15:24

Definitely learning to read the difference between hunger and boredom better here.

I had fruit salad for breakfast today, gave blood this morning so had the biscuits after that and then I was working - just got home and had lunch which hopefully means I won't pig out at tea later. Still need to go for a walk to get my 10,000 steps - up to 3,500 with work so far...

I need to plan for tea - there are sausages that need eating...

twinkledag · 15/04/2020 16:20

Another half a pound off here which I'm pleased about! Cutting out obvious carbs so no bread, rice, pasta or potatoes. 🤞🏻it continues to work.

Firsttimelottie · 15/04/2020 19:52

Food log today:

B: porridge with ground seeds and strawberries
L: chickpea flour "pizza base" with tomato puree and dried oregano plus smoothie (1/2 avocado, 1/2 banana, cup of spinach, cup of blueberries, 1 tbsp almond butter and 1 tbsp ground seeds)
D: slow cooker bbq flavoured chicken thighs with plain mashed potato and some mixed veg.

Sounds a lot but all within calories.

I'm really trying to listen my body and I think my body doesn't like potatoes... I've noticed that after I've eaten them I really crave sugar...

Has anyone else found that certain foods make them crave or give the illusion of feeling hungry quickly after eating?

RosesandIris · 15/04/2020 20:04

I’m failing dismally. Every day I think ‘this is it’ then backslide..

Firsttimelottie · 15/04/2020 20:18

RosesandIris could you start with smaller goals? I.e. for the first week make it your goal to eat healthy portion controlled breakfasts, then the following week add in healthier lunches and so on?

raisydenton · 15/04/2020 21:58

Me too @RosesandIris

Today had

B bran flakes
L ham, egg, yogurt
T lentil, chicken coconut curry and rice- grapes.... and then I opened an Easter egg

So hard. Not giving up yet.

So today I have weighed and logged everything, eaten health meals and had no snacks. Just the chocolate - it was a fancy 70-% one tho!
