I’m on day 4 of giving up chocolate and crisps. So far it’s going well. Lockdown is definitely helping, no nipping to the shop to get snacks or sandwiches. I’ve lost 1.3kg this first week. I’m cooking everyday and eating healthy food.

I’m hoping to continue after lockdown too. Must lose weight, my starting weight was 172.6kg. My goal weight is 90kg. Hopefully going to Disney once I’ve lost the weight, that’s my reward.

Anyone Want to join me? What’s your goal and is lock down helping you?

Hope everyone has had a lovely easter. No chocolate for me for the simple reason the kids vegan chocolate is so expensive that I would feel so bad bloody having any of it. So I've had Lentil dhaal with vegan naan bread and roasted tinned potatoes. Will have a glass of cashew milk before bed. It's my sons 13th this coming week, he has requested a bournville brownie cake covered in bournville so I can't say no to a slice of that.

It's been grey and cold here in pembrokeshire today, yesterday was so hot we were in the pool in the garden all day.

catinb0oots · 12/04/2020 19:48

Well I did well on the food front today but have just drank (drunk?) 3 desperados. But tbf I haven't had any chocolate.

Weigh in tomorrow

catinb0oots · 12/04/2020 19:50

Oh in other news - I've been desperately trying to buy some gym equipment online but everything is all sold out. I've got two shitty light dumbbells and a 6kg kettlebell which is too light.

So I built a step today to do step aerobics on YT in the morning!

Today has been ok but not brick for me!
B - none
L - hummus celery cheese scone butter 1 square of 90 % godiva chocolate
D - sweet potato fries in oil, steak, peas, mayo, greek yoghurt mixed with peanut butter

Feeling really down today, but keeping on keeping on.

catinb0oots · 12/04/2020 21:09

I don't think any of us have had a perfect day by the sounds of things. It has been Easter though so let's not be too hard on ourselves.

It's Monday tomorrow - onwards and downwards Losers

cat x

Firsttimelottie · 12/04/2020 21:09

catinb0oots looks really good!

YorkshireParentalPerson sorry to hear you're feeling down - anything you want to talk about on here?

Today's food log:

B: porridge with greek yoghurt, tbsp chia seeds, blueberries and a cadburys mini choc bunny
L: sweet potato "hash browns" with 1 scrambled egg.
D: baked salmon with potato, asparagus and a homemade cashew, garlic and white wine sauce.
S: oat milk in drinks. Banana. And an Easter egg (I succumbed!!! But I'm following it with a chai tea to get me back into "feeling good, healthy and determined" mode)

catinb0oots · 13/04/2020 09:56

Has anyone weighed yet?

I'm 13st 10lb. 4lb down so quite pleased.

LaneBoy · 13/04/2020 10:03

1lb down this week.

myfuckingfreezer · 13/04/2020 10:35

My weight loss is plateauing and I don't know what to do next.

I've been loosing 10 pounds a month since christmas but have only lose 5 this month. I'm still massively overweight (13 stone 7 pounds at 5"7) so it shouldn't be slowing down this much yet.

Can't work out if I'm eating too much or not enough! I've been following low carb, high fat and calorie counting on my fitness pal.

Today I'll behaving:
200cal Greek yoghurt with banana and a small handful of cereal flakes
450 Spag Bol with cheese and lettuce but not pasta
550 Chicken and avocado salad

So that's 1200 and approx 8 portions of fruit and veg. I always leave a window for things like hot drinks and spray oil and in case I've undervalued anything. I'm wondering if I'm not eating enough but scared to up it, especially when I'm less active than before lockdown.

Any thoughts?

Duckduckgosling · 13/04/2020 10:54

2nd weigh in today and 5.5lbs off so 10lb in two weeks.
Don't know how I lost more this week than the first week but happy with that Smile

Firsttimelottie · 13/04/2020 11:03

4lb weight loss this week which I'm really chuffed with.

Planning my meals each morning is definitely helping!

myfuckingfreezer I'm not too clued up on this sort of stuff but maybe try increasing your calories by 100 and then see how your weight loss is at the end of the week?

I find 1,200 calories seven days a week is really low but I understand everyone is different.

It may be worth calculating how many calories you need to maintain (you can find this online). Then deduct 500 calories which will give you the amount you need to lose weight.

Firsttimelottie · 13/04/2020 11:08

myfuckingfreezer

Try this BBC link:

www.bbc.co.uk/food/articles/how_many_calories_do_you_need

The amount I need to maintain is 2231.

I've been eating 1500 because I feel comfortable with this but I can go up to 1731 (which is 500 less than maintain amount) and still lose weight, albeit a bit slower.

Hope this helps.

YorkshireParentalPerson · 13/04/2020 12:05

Got weighed this morning and have lost 1.4 lbs this week, I'm a bit disappointed with that because weirdly I feel thinner! Anyway got the tape measure out and have lost 1.5 inches from my waist, 2 inches off my hip and 2 inches off my bum. Nothing off my boobs which is weird cos that's normally where my weight drops first!

Overall I am pleased with that, inches off is good😀

wombatsandaplant · 13/04/2020 12:27

I wasn’t going to weigh in as I knew I’d put on weight but I was curious so I did, I put on 0.8kg, oops. Way too much chocolate and I think I just ate too much too. Oh well, at least I know where I went wrong and what to change. Also no more chocolate at all. I’m not discouraged though which is good, usually I would be and I’d give up, but not this time. Try again this week.

Well done everyone who has lost.

NothingIsWrong · 13/04/2020 13:15

In a week I have lost 1lb. Which is a little dispiriting, but hey it's the right direction. I have done my fitness blender workout this morning and been on a long walk with middle boy, so I've managed 10,000 steps as well. We did have a rather piggy lunch just now so I think a small snack instead of tea will bring me under my 1250 goal.

I've almost completely stopped drinking, I don't have the calories to waste on it at the moment. Once I get to my 12 stone goal weight, I might add a bit in. Currently 13st12 so a way to go!

NothingIsWrong · 13/04/2020 13:17

Spot the point where I decided enough was enough and I wasn't going to let lockdown beat me. Couple of off days but on the whole I'm hitting 10,000 every day.

twinkledag · 13/04/2020 17:20

I stayed the same but expected that after Easter yesterday! Back on the wagon.

Well done all the losers! 😂

rootsonshow · 13/04/2020 19:57

Today has been a sodding fiasco. It started well as I tackled a 'wild' section of garden in the sunshine. I had the bright idea of letting our rescued tortoise have a wander round. I turned round for what seemed like two seconds and he was gone. It took three hours until he was found having buried himself under a tree stump.
As you can imagine I was driven to eat a cornetto and I didnt even enjoy it.
Still tomorrows another day.

FthisS · 13/04/2020 20:25

I bagged up all my winter clothes today and got all my summer clothes down from the attic to wash. I felt very sorry for myself when I realised how little of it I will fit into at the moment. But I will I'm determined.
Today
Glass of pure orange juice
Lentil dhaal (I make mine with tins of tomatoes not coconut milk to save cals) half a tin of potatoes roasted, half a cauliflower roasted and half a naan.
3 litres of water
Glass of cashew milk before bed.
No more naans here so it's rice and dhaal tomorrow or just cauliflower with it.

Firsttimelottie · 13/04/2020 21:00

Today's food log (all within calories):

B: bran flakes and oat milk
L: "pizza" base made from chickpea flour, topped with 2 tbsp tomato puree, dried oregano and drizzled with a tsp olive oil
D: Vietnamese caramelised pork, sticky rice + carrot and cucumber
S: oat milk in drinks

All of this totalled up go be quite below my calorie allowance and I realised I hadn't had much fruit & veg so I made what I call my skin food smoothie (1/2 avocado, 1/2 banana, cup of frozen blueberries, cup of spinach, tbsp almond butter, tbsp ground seed mix - blended with water).

I hope everyone has had a lovely bank holiday and is feeling positive for the rest of the week.

Well done to everyone working out also - I'm planning on doing a workout tomorrow and may beg DP to get my treadmill out which is hiding at the back of our storage cupboard!

YorkshireParentalPerson · 13/04/2020 21:07

Food today
B - none
L - ham, egg, tomato olives mayo app l e
D - onion peppers mushroom, tomato spring onion, chicken curry sauce

Just been looking back over what I ate last week and realised that there were quite a lot of carbs in there in the form of beans and sweet potato! Cutting those down this week and seeing how I get on.

Hope you are all ok.

catinb0oots · 13/04/2020 22:24

Hope you're feeling better today @yorkshire

Today I did a step class on YT which nearly killed me.

L - ham salad
D - chicken breast, asparagus and salad

And three coffees with hazelnut milk.

HotCrossBungle · 14/04/2020 07:58

Quickly logging on to record weight, will catch up with thread later.

Chickened out of getting on the scales yesterday. Have lost 0.5lb this week. I surprised tbh after the ridiculous amounts of booze and food I ate this weekend, I really thought I was going to see a gain. Still feeling a bit ropey so am going to get back on track today.

Good luck for the week ahead everyone.

LaneBoy · 14/04/2020 08:34

Argh. Totally getting hooked on Dr Pepper/Pepsi type drinks again Hmm I had basically kicked the habit before and only had a Pepsi max on occasion in a pub as I prefer it on tap. Basically only drink water at home. But now I’m asking DH to pick some up when he’s in the supermarket (he has to go more than once a week - no car and no delivery) must stop! It’s just because I’m bored.

I had also been drinking juice every day until we ran out, as a way of getting more vitamin C.

Must stop drinking calories 🤦‍♀️ I actually really love drinking plain water, I just forget. And I’m meant to drink more than the average person due to having a particular health condition. 🤦‍♀️
