I'm sorting my self out, starting from tomorrow.

So fed up with mindlessly eating crap day after day. I'm getting fatter by the week and I've had enough.

I will be weighing myself tomorrow morning.

Please join me.

Dreading it !! Haven't been good this week at all xx

MillieMoodle · 16/02/2020 12:51

@forevergreen not a new style but I wanted to go lighter, so I've got some highlights through it now and it's a little bit shorter and more shaped around my face. I'm happy with it! After years of not getting my hair even cut, I've been getting it done about every 8-10 weeks for the last 3 years or so and it's in much better condition now.

@MusicToMyEars800 wow, well done! That's amazing!

I had a whisky and Coke Zero last night and two strips of galaxy chocolate from a big bar, but that's the only chocolate/sweets I've eaten all week so I'm saying it was a little treat.

So far today I've had:
B - two slices of white toast with flora and strawberry jam
L - tomato soup and two slices of white bread with flora
D - haven't got a clue yet!
Bit bread heavy but have resisted crisps and chocolate so am doing ok.

Pegsinarow · 16/02/2020 12:58

Me neither Chops. Been ill in bed with viral bug, so very inactive and dh bringing me food (bad combo). Also stressing about everything I have to do so not in good frame of mind.

Reading this thread is great though! I like the non-perfectionist and sensible approach. I need to learn from it as I always start out with ridiculously high expectations of myself and fail horribly. From now on it's going to be small, manageable steps ... but equally need to be consistent!

Well done to all of you who have lost weight - or at least maintained it and not put any on - and good luck for week ahead!

Givemestrengthorgin · 16/02/2020 15:33

Hi all, just checking in again since my first post. I've done okay this week. Much fewer treats and less carbs. I've also been doing more exercising but then i find it hard to go lower carb at the same time as doing more running. Hoping for a bit of a loss at weigh in tomorrow. Enjoying reading everyone's posts!

twinkledag · 16/02/2020 16:57

Checking in! Rare night out with DH last night so off plan but straight back to it today.

Looking forward to hearing everyone's weigh in results tomorrow.

Chops2017 · 16/02/2020 17:47

What's mfp?
I'll start tomorrow morning with a gentle 20 minute workout, 10 minutes on the exercise bike and 15 mins of walking on the spot and attempt to count calories because that's where I go wrong xx

maddenlightfoot · 16/02/2020 20:09

I will be in.... after half term (if it's ok if I lurk until then?). I got to my target weight in October with Fast800 but then Christmas and not-so-dry-January happened. I've put about 1st back on and am desperate to shift it. I know I could start now but I'm on holiday and really want to enjoy my week off! However from next week I'm going to cut out sweet treats, at least 16:8 fasting daily, 800 cals regularly and lots of water (my skin is awful atm!)

BlueEyedFloozy · 16/02/2020 20:17

Checking in for day 3 - had a few off plan whiskey's last night but managed to steer clear of the munchies and back to it this morning 👍😁

B: Spinach, ham and cheese egg wrap
L: Roasted red pepper, tomato and sweet potato soup
D: Roast beef, 3x veg, Yorkshire pud, OXO roasties and a splash of gravy
S: Melon, low cal Eton mess 😋

CharDee · 16/02/2020 20:30

Please can i weigh in with you tomorrow?

Last month I was 15 stone but I think I've lost some. I'm 5 foot 4 so really over weight. I want to be 9.5/10 stone.

I have an event on 4 months that I really, really need to lose weight for. Ideally I'd like to lose at least 4 stone before then but I know that's not healthy or particularly achievable but I can hope!

KavvLar · 16/02/2020 20:31

First weigh in and six pounds off in as many days. I know a lot of it will be water but I'm thrilled. It's a bloody miserable and unsociable diet but it works.

I'm going to stick with it until I can take no more and then try to leap onto low carbing which will seem like the world's greatest treat - roast meat! Cauliflower cheese! 😍

mumoflittlemice · 16/02/2020 20:55

Urgh, well I kicked off Valentines Day with thrush, cystitis and topped it off with a horrific tummy upset yesterday that practically turned me inside out Envy (not envy!). How romantic Hmm

Good grief, it's been (and still is slightly) miserable Sad

Have been feeling a lot better today and hoping that come tomorrow I will have a decent overall loss to be smiling about. Have been good throughout and at some points it's been reeeeaaally hard

Typical day for me as per my faithfully logged MFP (myfitnesspal @Chops2017 it's an app you can use to log your food intake per day, basically a calorie counting tool but you can also set more detailed goals - some including me find it really helpful) looks like this:

B Total 0% yogurt with berries

L Vegetable / chicken & veg / almost any green soup

D salmon fillet/ chicken, carrots, small jacket spud - no mayo, squeeze of lemon juice, tiny bit of butter on the spud

Snacks- 15 almonds, med banana, tiny piece of cheddar (eg 20g weighed), handful of berries/ small apple all spaced throughout the day. I like snacks Grin

Every. Single. Thing. that goes in my mouth including all drinks, is weighed/measured/ logged on MFP as I can't portion control otherwise as it turns out Blush

1500 kcal limit set. Gallons of water.

Hope everyone's had a good weekend or at least better than mine Blush

mumoflittlemice · 16/02/2020 21:01

Wow!! @KavvLar! Well done!
Remind me what you're currently following food wise? What a brilliant start!

Blankscreen · 16/02/2020 21:06

Can I Please join in too

I'm 11stone 13.

I reckon I've picked on a stone in about 3 months and I just feel awful. I went out last with some friends and I felt like the fat dumpy frumpy one. I'm struggling to find stuff to wear and basically look massive.

MFP defo works but I think 1500 Cals is more realistic. It usually sets me at 1200 and I just end up giving up.

I want to be 10 stone which is what I was before I got pregnant with ds. Who is 10 in August.

I've just turned 41 and feel sad that I've spent my 30s basically not feeling great about myself all because I'm greedy!!!

Blankscreen · 16/02/2020 21:08

I just want to be able to wear some fashionable clothes and not look ridiculous

KavvLar · 16/02/2020 21:10

Cambridge diet @mumoflittlemice. Sole source so three shakes a day and 2.5 litres water.

I did it before and lost a lot of weight quite promptly but then spent a year messing around with it trying to reintroduce food as they suggested. There's nothing wrong with what they do (reintroduce calorie controlled and sensible food) but I have come to realize I either need massive restriction or free rein within a set brief.

Can't do slimming world etc because of food intolerances now, but that was perfect for me back in the day. Low carb high fat high protein was easy to follow and filling so I'm hoping that will be good to transition to and keep the weight off.

twinkledag · 16/02/2020 21:17

@blank you could be me! Let's be diet twins!

peacebypeace · 16/02/2020 21:23

Please can I join?

I'm just self harming at the moment. Eating silly amounts, with the excuse of feeling stressed. I want to ttc at some point and the longer it takes to lose weight the closer to 40 I will be.

mumoflittlemice · 16/02/2020 21:45

@KavvLar ah ha, well great start and well done you. Cambridge is hardcore. My friend loves it and did incredibly well on it, as will you I am sure Smile Best of British with the LCHFHP. Thats what did me in yesterday I do believe. Saying that, I probably went at it all wrong (ie all of a sudden and too high fat straight out the gate) but boy oh boy, it did not suit me at all Blush

@Blankscreen IME MFP sets everyone at 1200 kcals pretty much and I for one cannot sustain that. I feel so ill on that few calories and to be honest I was losing well on 1640kcal for most of my previous successful weight loss a few yrs ago. If I find I'm not losing at 1500 or losing very slowly, I will increase to that until I've lost a fair bit and then reduce my kcal as my weight reduces. It's sounds counter-intuitive but I made the mistake of eating too little last time and it really slows weight loss right down.

xGAIAx · 17/02/2020 06:37

Checking in to stop me from having breakfast too early.

Had a good weekend, attended a wedding fair on Saturday and there was wedding cake tasting galore, I managed to only have 2 small pieces and was proud AF that I kept within my cals for the day.

This morning I've made a pot of scotch broth soup and the smell is driving me crazy.

I don't weigh in until Wednesday but I've done well so far this week and I can feel the difference.

Good luck to all the Monday weigh ins.

Chops2017 · 17/02/2020 07:40

Weigh today - 11stone 12 3/4 lbs going to try really hard this week for a 2 lbs loss xx good luck everyone xx

MillieMoodle · 17/02/2020 07:46

Weigh in this morning and I'm 12st 4lbs, so 3lbs off this week. Hopefully that will give me the motivation I need to keep going this week! Busy day at work ahead so will catch up properly later on. Have got 3 days off this week so more chance to move around as won't be sitting at a desk all day!

TheBuriedGiant · 17/02/2020 07:48

Hi, can I join??
Need to lose at least 4 and a half stone. Long way to go, but starting again now.

mumoflittlemice · 17/02/2020 07:50

Well done @xGAIAx! Good luck for Wednesday Smile

So I was 157.4lb (11st 3.4lb) last Monday and today I’m at 154.8 (11st 0.8lb) - a 2.6lb loss. Smile

I’m chuffed with that, modest but solid especially with all my ups and downs over the past week! My goal was to nudge under the 11st mark by today but that would have been 3.5lb in a week which would be a lot for me so prob a smidge overly optimistic.

If I can follow this up with another solid 2lb loss by next Monday I’ll be really pleased with that. Most of all I think my eating (when I stay away from my half-arsed attempts at regimes I’m not prepared for or suited to) is sustainable, so I’m going to set my chin and keep plodding along with it.

Good luck Monday weighers and all strength heading into week 2, whether you’ve lost what you wanted to or not. KOKO 💪🏼

forevergreen · 17/02/2020 07:50

Morning

Well I've lost 1.5lbs this week.

I really let myself down over the weekend and ate loads, still, I've lost something which is the main thing.

Well done all of you for sticking with me.

OP posts:
BiscuitMachine · 17/02/2020 08:01

Well done everyone so far. I completely lost the enthusiasm and am exactly the same weight as last Monday, 11st 0lb 4oz. I suppose I'm no heavier, so that's something. Peacebypeace you said you were self harming, and that's exactly how I feel. Bad food choices, alcohol, no exercise and I'm deliberately doing it and don't know how to stop.
