Banting is my favourite old fashioned word. Means slimming, and I got it from Agatha Christie Grin

It sounds like quite a few of us had fun weekends!!

DontFundHate · 03/02/2020 10:39

Another fun weekend here too... I have lost 1lb this week, which I guess I already knew after weighing in on the last day of Jan, so I'm pleased but also would have liked a surprise this morning so not feeling super excited!

Also really really lacking in motivation this week, really feel like saying fuck it for the day, or even the week, tempted to drive to our supermarket and buy a load of junk food...but will try to resist! I think I'll have a nicer lunch and see how I feel after that. I'm just feeling so bloody hungry since last night (for the first time since I started I think!!) And it's annoying me!!

DontFundHate · 03/02/2020 10:40

Feeling for those who haven't lost this week, things definitely get so much harder the closer to target you get.

To be truthful, I weighed in last Tues and had already "lost" that pound, so feel like I haven't lost at all this week! Shouldn't have checked early and kept it for a surprise!!

Twixes · 03/02/2020 13:17

No dice for me either. My gym scales is possessed I'm convinced of it! I'm definitely down according to my one at home but the one un the gym is literally going nowhere?! It's bizarre.

I've had my mum and my husband both say I look like I've lost weight. And I've been measuring my arm and I'm smaller. Anyhoo, on I go. Mentally I'm better today so that's probably the most important thing.

Food for today:

Breakfast: Overnight oats 450 Shock
Lunch: mug shot bbq 200
Snack; satsuma 60?
Dinner: beef stir fry, no idea of cals but I'll calculate later

TheHoundsofLove · 03/02/2020 13:43

Yes we have had some fun this weekend haven't we? Grin
Glad you're feeling more positive Twixes .
I've been for an 8 km run this morning and did a weights session so am back in the game! Let's do this!

DontFundHate · 03/02/2020 13:45

Sounds like good progress @Twixes and a good meal plan too. I'm definitely on a day off today. Thankfully there's not much junk in the house anymore I'll definitely be a bit over today but hopefully only by a couple hundred, that's progress right?!

DontFundHate · 03/02/2020 13:45

No junk food because I've just eaten it all...!

WellErrr · 03/02/2020 15:59

Ooh I’d love some junk food now!

I’ve had:

B - overnight oats (228)
L - Tesco carbonara (325) and a banana (81)
D - porridge pot (177)

S - tea (20) small choc (71)

I had a carby but low cal lunch - sweet potato and quinoa burger with broccoli and feta.salad. amazing. Think I need a bigger calorie deficit on the not so active days and at same time need ro move more often. Bloat has well and truly arrived with period but I'll weigh in fhe morning nonetheless. Omelette for tea.

Heygirlheyboy · 03/02/2020 18:07

WellErr I'm wondering are the tesco meals in the fridge or freezer? Are they Tesco finest range? Thanks

Octopus37 · 03/02/2020 18:15

Didn't weigh in this morning.
Have had a very busy work day, have eaten:
Usual breakfast (315)
Bag of LoveCorn (190)
Twirl bar £230
Plate of pasta with pesto, sweetcorn, chickpeas and tuna,

Octopus37 · 03/02/2020 18:17

On the plus side my friend (who is a skinny size 8) bought me a skirt for my birthday, she gave it to me before Christmas cause of the date on the gift receipt) and when I tried it on it was a bit tight. I said it was ok, looked at it cause it looked small (H&M size 12), now feel okish so that's good.

DontFundHate · 03/02/2020 18:31

That's great! @Octopus37

Have taken today off. I woke up extremely hungry and just got hungrier and hungrier and more and more annoyed! Have ended up having half a donut and some fish and chips from the chippy. I don't regret it, it's my first treat day since I started and I will be back on the wagon tomorrow.

Funnily enough though, alongside the donuts from the supermarket I bought tom kerridge's new book. I like his old one so hoping the new one will spur me on a bit too

Patchworksack · 03/02/2020 18:32

octopus that made me laugh - hope the gold plated twirl bar was worth it! Good news on the skirt front!

Patchworksack · 03/02/2020 18:35

I made a very elaborate chicken bhuna for tea as we got a curry legend kit from the Spicery for Christmas, not sure it was worth all the effort since my usual whack some paste from a jar in has much the same end result, but it did taste good.

Twixes · 03/02/2020 20:13

@DontFundHate sure we all need a break sometimes :) I would murder a fish and chips. I might have to have one on the weekend.

I made a beef stir fry loaded with carrots, green beans, mushrooms, onion and peppers and I think I'm at about 1300 today.

I'm reevaluating the overnight oats, 450 is too high for breakfast!

I made them for tomorrow with grated apple, skimmed milk, small bit of Greek yoghurt, apple juice and cinnamon. Should be more low cal...i stupidly forgot to measure the liquids though. I'm a dumbass!

DontFundHate · 03/02/2020 20:45

Those overnight oats sounds nice @Twixes and very similar to a recipe in my new book! Hope you like them. So far lots of his breakfast recipes seem high ish calorie to me, but I may try some and make them for over 2 days

I've just made a chia seed overnight breakfast with cinnamon and cardamon. I've made this loads before and love it. Made enough for 2 days and will defrost a calorie counted home made meal for tomorrow night to keep me on the straight and narrow! Just got to make sure I have a good lunch too then hopefully will feel back on track

Heygirlheyboy · 03/02/2020 20:52

I have tweaked my ONO to go a bit easier on cals but still delicious and v filling. 40g oats, 160ml milk, tablespoon Greek yoghurt, half mashed banana, spoon chia.seeds and I put bluberries and strawberries on top. Why do people talk about too much fruit? It's very low calorie! Also sweet potato v low considering so filling/starchy carb.

WellErrr · 03/02/2020 22:09

Twixes I use fat free yogurt and not many oats..!

heygirl they’re in the chilled ready meals section. I’ll post a pic!

Some nice meals today gals! I ended up on 1347 in a manic day at work so I’m ok with that! I was on 900 till I got home 45 mins ago and then I had a slice of toast and a teeny sliver of cake as I just had to eat!!

Half a pound up, OK I guess with period just started with a vengeance but it's still a pain.

Wineloffa · 04/02/2020 07:27

Morning! Weighed in this morning at 9st 1 exactly so up a pound since last Friday. Will endeavour to lose it again before this Friday although I have more birthday celebrations in the pipeline- a weekend away with a group of girlfriends so I fully expect it to reappear on Monday! This is the end of the birthday parties though so I’m pretty hopeful that February will be more successful from next week onwards!

everycowandagain · 04/02/2020 07:58

Morning! I am back down to my post Christmas low of 136.6 this am, and it is on!!

Had a small Banana and am currently deadlifting Grin
