Banting is my favourite old fashioned word. Means slimming, and I got it from Agatha Christie Grin

@Twixes in case of lockdown I will be doing fitnessblender workouts, free on their website and quite tough!!

Unfortunately most of my lockdown food is carbs, must get some extra frozen veg in!!

Heygirlheyboy · 26/02/2020 15:16

Oh Jaysus, don't even go there!!

Heygirlheyboy · 26/02/2020 16:05

Right, just had my dinner, a real hungry day for me! Possibly pmt, possibly the cold, but I'll have to use up my last few cals on a.piece of fruit later.

Octopus37 · 26/02/2020 16:14

Today's food, a bit disorganised and governed by feeling hormonal.
Usual breakfast (315)
1 Turnocks tea cake (106)
Small bag of smartie buttons (271)
2 and a bit oatcakes (300)
Also going out for a meal tonight, will go for damage limitation. Have period and accompanying bad stomach which might help with this. Realise I should have eaten a proper lunch but didn't feel like it.

everycowandagain · 26/02/2020 18:52

Hang in there Octopus.

Patchworksack · 26/02/2020 19:59

I had a very restrained single pancake yesterday and am doing no-sugar-Lent but gosh today has been tough on the no sugar wagon! I know I need to grit my teeth and get past the craving stage to feel better again.

Heygirlheyboy · 26/02/2020 20:05

That's it Patchwork, stick it out! And well done! I have had a very stressful few hours and I won't be home again until near 10pm running errands but I've logged so I will just have to stick to it. Will weigh in morning for (hopefully) some motivation ahead of weekend and period next week. Twixes you do a lot of working out so 1700 probably very fair! I'm finding it hard to see your username at the moment!!!

WellErrr · 27/02/2020 06:29

I managed to stick to my meal plan yesterday for the first time in ages. I had -

B - porridge (177)
L - sandwich thin with low fat Philadelphia and an apple (200)
D - half a Lidl pizza (610) various mayos (85)

S - 200ml coke (89), small banana (65), cup of tea (40), 100g grapes (67)

Total - 1326

Good luck everyone today, and hang in there those struggling with lent!

TheHoundsofLove · 27/02/2020 06:37

Good luck those of you giving up sugar for lent or just in general.
We're going away for a few days, so I'm recording my final weight of February today and I've miraculously hit my 9st2 target! Grin

Heygirlheyboy · 27/02/2020 07:38

Well done losers! Another lb gone for me. 9,4.75. Come on 9stone!! I am just shy of 10lbs over 8 weeks. Very pleased.

Patchworksack · 27/02/2020 07:47

Well done hounds and heygirl
I stuck it out yesterday and did not cave - but drank a ridiculous amount of tea because I really wanted biscuits or chocolate. Will whack something healthy in the slow cooker this morning so I know dinner is all sorted.

Octopus37 · 27/02/2020 07:59

Went to the Harvesters last night, my friend had a groupon deal, so I had ribs chips, salad and a mini brownie with a pint of cider. 9ST4.5 this morning not surprisingly, back on track today though. Not feeling guilty, just eating today as I have been doing. Have a heavy period which might help with some of the calories. Have to take my DS to A&E cause he has hurt his leg playing football, going to be a bit of a day.

WellErrr · 27/02/2020 08:20

Well done hounds and heygirl!

Steel yourself octopus! Hope your ds is OK. I don't have a decision made on dinner yet which isn't good.
Breakfast ono
Lunch mushroom soup
Snacks: fruit, nuts
Dinner ???

everycowandagain · 27/02/2020 08:23

Well done hounds and hey girl!!

I hope it all goes OK Octopus.

I am hanging in there and eating my veg, trying not to drink too much coffee.

Heygirlheyboy · 27/02/2020 17:31

Well I ended up throwing on a tray of Mediterranean veg and some sweet potato cubes, grated some cheese on top and it was delish. Amazing how practically no calorie veg is, despite the oil and carbs.

everycowandagain · 27/02/2020 17:47

Sounds delicious!!

I accidentally ate pasta for lunch. Oops. Did go to the gym and just had a protein shake this afternoon. I will cut the carbs a bit with dinner, hopefully is should even out.

Heygirlheyboy · 27/02/2020 17:53

Well done on the working out. I'm fine with low cal but my steps/exercising is low. I'm off to the cinema tonight so will go for small popcorn if peckish but no joke I'm completely full after that dinner. Mushroom soup, if anyone is a fan, is delicious, and I just checked the calories, 82 Shock

Octopus37 · 27/02/2020 18:09

DS has a muscular injury, a splint and crutches, all afternoon at A&E. Have to go to the fracture clinic (even though it is muscular), cannot get an appointment until 19th March, going to phone up in the morning and see if I can get an earlier one, they claimed there were none. He is supposed to be going to Greece with school on a sports tour on 6th April, really need to know whats going on.

Food:
Breakfast - Oatcakes and nuts (315)
Lunch - 6 inch Sub with steak, cheese and salad
Snack - a crème egg (175)
Dinner - Tesco Spinach & Ricotta cannelloni (464)

Okish if I don't eat anything else

Heygirlheyboy · 27/02/2020 18:12

Oh god love you, and him! Hope you get an appointment.

DontFundHate · 27/02/2020 22:09

Well done hounds and heygirl

@Octopus37 your poor ds hope he recovers asap

everycowandagain · 28/02/2020 06:35

Oh Octopus, love to you both!

I hit a new low of 131.2 this am so tracking well towards my goal of 130 before next week. I am really seeing the benefits of just moving on from the poorer choices and getting straight back to it without beating myself up. Previously I would have taken any fluctuation as proof of my failure and would have thought that I had undone all my hard work but now I know that's not how it works and if you get straight back in the zone then progress continues.

Up early this am for a gym session before work, am pretty tired but want to stick with it all the way to next Wednesday!

Wishing a happy Friday to all.

Octopus37 · 28/02/2020 06:57

Ended up going out for a drink with my bestie last night as she had some bad news. Drank 2 pints of cider, boy am I feeling it this morning. Didn't snack though afterwards which I would normally have done, 9st3.75 this morning, but probably a bit dehyrdrated.

ndo4000 · 28/02/2020 08:06

Well done everyone! I have found it really hard this week. Yesterday was a blow out and I had lunch with some friends. Tried to do damage control by having vegetable soup and a pitta bread for supper.

Not expecting to see much movement on the scales when I weigh in tomorrow 😢.

On top of that, I'm am on day 2 of potty training my dd so we are at home and I'm not doing my usual steps.

😫

Good luck to everyone today!!!!

Heygirlheyboy · 28/02/2020 08:19

That's just life though isn't it? It's not going to be perfect and that's OK. Everycowandagain fair play to you!
Early night tonight Octopus ! I'm back in my size 8 (Next) trousers today. Wohooh! Feeling lighter 8 weeks in. Ono for breakfast, ratatouille with spoon of chickpeas and some le ft over sweet potato cubes. Omlette for dinner.
