Banting is my favourite old fashioned word. Means slimming, and I got it from Agatha Christie Grin

This might be a stupid question, but I keep seeing 'ono' on people's menu plans for breakfast? What does that mean?!

Patchworksack · 28/02/2020 13:49

New number on the scales today for the first time in a few weeks - 9st4lb. Ten down, four to go. Feeling better a few days into no sugar, cravings receding a bit. Evil stuff!

Patchworksack · 28/02/2020 13:50

Ndo4000 overnight oats??

Heygirlheyboy · 28/02/2020 14:48

Wohooh Patchwork!

And yes ONO is overnight oats! My fave.

Heygirlheyboy · 28/02/2020 17:32

I'm done for the day. Need to make sure I don't get over hungry. Went 4h between lunch on dinner, had no snack today, and definitely felt that 'Im so hungry I could eat a horse' feeling. Stuffed now, so won't eat anotger bite tonighy and will get my Saturday walk in in the morning. Period week you will not get me.this time!!

ndo4000 · 28/02/2020 18:12

Octopus37 · 28/02/2020 19:22

Haven't eaten very well today cause I'm under the weather My DS has a lurgy as well as his leg injury and I think he has given it to me, period, v stressed about lots of things. Know that between breakfast and lunch hasn't been healthy, but I think my calories are ok, best I can do.
Breakfast - Oatcakes and almonds (315)
I Turnocks teacake (106)
2 Maltesers biscuits (112)
1 Cadbury caramel egg (170)
Have had a pancake with lots of feta cheese and roasted veg for dinner.

Will have my final February weigh in tomorrow morning.

Heygirlheyboy · 28/02/2020 20:17

Good luck with weigh in.Octopus, you've had a tough week. Here's to March!

Octopus37 · 29/02/2020 08:20

9st3.25 this morning, so a quarter of a pound off my target. All things considered pretty pleased with that. Good luck and well done to everyone else

everycowandagain · 29/02/2020 09:55

Fantastic @Octopus37 you should be really pleased with yourself.

everycowandagain · 29/02/2020 09:58

I weighed in with my PT bright and early at 7am, I am 2.4kg down since Christmas and now under 60kg which I am delighted with.

I am aiming to keep eating well over the next few days until I go on holiday on Wednesday, life will be crazy busy with work and packing and preparation for leaving the kids but I will aim to make food choices whenever I can.

And then it's off to NY to eat ALL THE FOOD Wink

Heygirlheyboy · 29/02/2020 10:16

Well done octopus!

Heygirlheyboy · 29/02/2020 10:18

Brilliant everycowandagain I have some NY restaurant recommendations if you need them!

Canklesforankles · 29/02/2020 12:29

0.4 kg down this week so 0.9 lb.

2.6 kg or 5.7 lb in total

Slowly, slowly catch your monkey 🐵 🐒

Canklesforankles · 29/02/2020 12:31

I think we are doing great to keep going and keep reminding ourselves of the bigger picture. Well done us.

Heygirlheyboy · 29/02/2020 13:03

Absolutely cankles, well done. It's a real loss when it's slow and steady. This thread is so supportive, I'm genuinely cheering you all on when see the weigh in posts. I'll weigh Monday, hoping to be over the 10lb total loss at that stage. That's a lot of butter!

everycowandagain · 29/02/2020 16:19

Yes please @Heygirlheyboy we have reservations for Eleven Madison Park on Saturday!!!

Patchworksack · 29/02/2020 16:28

Well done octopus, everycow and cankles! It is, as heygirl says, a lot of butter! I wonder how much we have lost between us over these two months??
Currently (or currant-ly, perhaps) making Bara Brith for a St David's day lunch tomorrow. I will attempt to partake of the leek and potato soup and avoid the cake...

Heygirlheyboy · 29/02/2020 17:45

No bother to you!

I seem.to have kept to my cals but feel have gone over today
Natural yoghurt, strawberries, half banana and ten almonds for breakfast
Skinny latte
Small portion chicken.fricasse.with shedload.of steamed veg
Steak, carrots and..... garlic potatoes. Stuffed and logged.

Heygirlheyboy · 29/02/2020 17:50

Actually I'm a bit annoyed now because e nutritional information on the fricasse was obviously wrong and I blindly accepted it. Silly. Oh well. Got a unreasonably good walk in. I should have mentioned other tip from that book but maybe I did, fifth ingredient or lower as sugar is OK.

Heygirlheyboy · 29/02/2020 19:23

I have emailed the shop!! Grin

Octopus37 · 01/03/2020 11:53

Very well done all. I have started a March thread. I am poorly today so haven’t eaten anything. Have a bug. False weigh in of 9st1 75

Heygirlheyboy · 01/03/2020 13:34

What's the thread title octopus?
