Hi all, does anybody want to buddy up through weight loss journey? I'm feeling really positive. I have 6 stone to loose in order to qualify for any fertility treatment.

I'm on sole source, step one. Sticking to shakes this week. Might have some "meals" next week. Might treat myself to a bar next month.

I feel like the bars could be a slippery slope
for me... I prefer cutting all solids out.

Yes I know, not the healthiest diet long term.. I have no intention of gaining it all back. It's not for everybody, please be nice :) I need a kick start.

Weighed myself this morning. Put 2lb on from yesterday. How??????

The only thing I can think of is I drank a lot of water before bed but even then!

RedDhalia · 01/02/2020 08:06

Lost yesterday's 2lb!

Are you all still on track? It's gone very quiet on this thread!!

Hi all, so confession time, this week I switched to the Keto diet.
I was absolutely miserable on cambridge and on keto I'm the opposite. I love it, considering I switched last weekend, I've already lost nearly 5 pounds this week!

On cambridge, I was coming home going straight to bed, avoiding people, including my husband.
Now I can go out for meals again, eat with people at work.
In hatdley ever hungry, I very very easily can go all morning without food.
I started this group because i was determined to get the weight down.
I still am and in still doing it. I just found a way that works more for me.
I hope you all understand. Xx

westhill11 · 01/02/2020 13:08

Lost 3lb this week! Now 9 stone 11 xxxxx

westhill11 · 01/02/2020 13:09

I’m glad you found something that you like!! But well done fir still trying!! Cambridge isn’t for everyone hun! It’s vvvv hard xxx keep us posted with your fab results xxxx

Delly1977 · 01/02/2020 13:17

@RedDhalia do you find regular weighing keeps you focused? It would drive me bleeding mental Haha x

Good luck @MrsHufflepuf, you gotta do what's best for you x

I'm just about to make my vanilla shake into a lovely coffee, bought a massive mug from B and M......perfection! The transition from step 2 to step 1 has been easy, I'm not missing the additional 200 calories and hopefully my stomach will shrink and its capacity to hold so much shite will reduce by the time I reach goal!! x

Has anyone tried the smoothies? Dont want to waste my dosh if they're horrid! X

Delly1977 · 01/02/2020 13:18

@westhill11 well done! What is your goal?.x

RedDhalia · 01/02/2020 13:31

Hi @Delly1977 I am finding that weighing myself is becoming a bit of a habit so I'm going to try and stop. It only started in week 3 and I think that's because I had been told not to expect much of a loss.

When the scales go down it defo spurs me on but I'm having to dig deep and keep going on the heavier days!!

@westhill11 I would kill to be your weight haha, very well done honey.

Delly1977 · 01/02/2020 14:28

@RedDhalia I've put ours in the boot of the car! I have done this diet before and weighed constantly, drove myself crackers and I really think it made me quite obsessive about loss/gain. I honestly feel a lot better not doing it, I'm just getting on with the diet and going by how I feel, got a size 18 jacket that absolutely wont fasten so I am going to try it in fortnightly! The weighing really helps and motivates some though, just not me. Although I did have a very satisfactory weight loss once after a mahoosive pooooo! (3lb thanks to Dulcolax hahahaha). Xx

westhill11 · 01/02/2020 15:01

Thank you so very much!! My target weight is 8st 6 xxxx

westhill11 · 01/02/2020 15:06

I hate weigh ins!! I actually dread them. I’m doing step 1 now. I have to move over to step 2 when I lose one more 1lb xx
The thought of eating something normal is quite weird for me!! But I’m pushing through with it! I need to do this!!! I eat everything in 3 hours!! And then I’m full!! Drink at least 4 pints of water. I’m doing no exercise! Hate the thought of that!
But I have to say it’s very hard to do! I haven’t cheated once. I feel tons better. My knees don’t hurt anymore!! That was what motivated me to do this journey! Xx

westhill11 · 01/02/2020 15:08

Keep weighing as a motivational surprise!! I do! Never weighed myself! I think that just spurs me on!! I want to be a success story for my consultant too!! Xx

Oktopus123 · 01/02/2020 17:38

Hi all I’ve just started on Cambridge for the first time planning on doing 12 weeks , day 6 for me. Great to hear all your experiences 👍

LozBoz1972 · 01/02/2020 19:34

Hi all - permission to jump in please 😉

So I am on day 6, 3 products - have around 4 stone to lose.....

I’m surprised how ok I feel - just sat any watched my DD eat a bag of choc buttons though 😒

Just about to have my last product - ready made choc shake with hot water - lovely hot chocolate. I get two cups out of one shake!

Drinking plenty of water - I feel like I live on the loo 😳😂

Looking for to weigh in on Monday - fingers crossed!

Allysan · 01/02/2020 20:29

Hi everyone

Is it ok to tag on?

Today is day 1 for me. Apart from being hungry I have nothing to complain about...yet.

I have probably around 5 stone to lose but my initial aim is 2 stone for a girly weekend.

It’s really inspiring to hear everyone’s story so far 😊😊

RedDhalia · 01/02/2020 21:41

Welcome @Oktopus123 @LozBoz1972 @Allysan

The more the merrier. I'm finding this little group a bit of a life line in terms of support.

@Delly1977 the boot is a fabulous idea! Will do that (if I can bare to be separated from them 😁)!!

Delly1977 · 02/02/2020 11:59

Hi Girls!

Oh I hate weigh ins too Westhill...that's why I moved them to fortnightly. Although doing it that way seems massively expensive....£250 for me and my hubby a fortnight. So we will absolutely be sticking to this plan 100%!

I really struggled last night, my hormones are all over the place, my period disappeared when I started the plan, but I'm having the due on feeling...so I went mad, I threw caution to the wind and had ........an extra bar! Haha better than what I actually wanted!

I absolutely LOVE peanut bars, they're blooming gorgeous. Hubby got some of the Mint Crunch Bites...he adores them! I'm lucky that I enjoy a good variety of the products, it must be tough going if you dont x

What's everyone's fave product?

Allysan · 02/02/2020 13:22

The cost certainly makes you more determined to keep on track.

I’m loving the vanilla shake, adding my coffee with lots and lots of ice! Going to try the mint chocolate shake tonight.

My husband is the only person who knows I’m doing this diet. I can’t be doing with the criticism of what some consider an unhealthy way to lose weight. Has anyone else decided to keep it schtum?

I cannot wait for my first weigh in on Friday (only day 2 for me so still a newbie), I think everyone has such a high expectation for week one, what’s was everyone’s first week loss?

Delly1977 · 02/02/2020 14:34

I'm the same @Allysan, just keep it to myself! Oooh I love hot vanilla shakes with coffee, I bought a massive Friends mug from B and M, it fits perfectly and fills me up nicely!

Ahhh keep focusing on that weigh in, it's not easy the first week but once day 4/5 is over it gets so much easier, it just becomes routine. When I first did this plan I lost 11lb my first week....couldnt bloody believe it! This time around I am older and pre menopausal, my hormones are everywhere and my body loves to hold onto the fat! So I lost 4lb the first week, followed by 4lb the second. I was doing step 2 during this time and have since switched to Step 1 so hoping that speeds things up a bit. I would be very happy with a 3lb consistent weekly loss. I get weighed fortnightly so the motivation is there to see a nice loss each time x

LozBoz1972 · 02/02/2020 15:08

Hey guys,

Yep I haven’t told work colleagues or friends that I’m doing Cambridge - really can’t be bothered with negative comments about it. So much in the press about what a good plan it is too - not for everyone though I suppose.

I’m on day 7 today - feel good, stuck to plan, 3 products... Had a wobble last night but then found you guys, read all your posts and I didn’t cave in 🤗

My favourite product is the Breakfast Smoothie - yum! Also really like the cous cous. Didn’t get on with the porridge, it literally made me retch 🤢

Exercise wise I have been going to Clubbercise on a Wed and a gentle swim on a Sunday.

Weigh in tomorrow - fingers crossed!

Delly1977 · 02/02/2020 16:44

Oh good luck @LozBoz1972, let us know how you get on!!

What are the breakfast smoothies? Bacon butty flavour? 😂😂

I'm not doing any specific exercises just now, just generally moving more and doing more walking. I've cleared all my cupboards out and have loads of gardening and decorating projects planned. Just keeping myself busy! My house has never been as tidy! My little boy doesn't sleep much, he has special needs and we average about 4 hours a night, so I am loving the burst of energy the plan gives x

Allysan · 03/02/2020 14:32

Good luck @LozBoz1972 fingers crossed

Today my colleague brought in treats (I won’t say what to save you all) and I refused. They must have all thought something was up as I never refuse 😂

Hope you’re all having a good day x

Delly1977 · 03/02/2020 14:45

Hahaha @Allysan......they will all be thinking you're up the duff and suffering from sickness! Well done for refusing, it's not easy. I've had a right shitty day and usually use this as an excuse to stuff my face....not today! Food doesn't make things better or easier.....at thevage of 41 I've finally realised lol x

Delly1977 · 03/02/2020 14:46
