Hi all, does anybody want to buddy up through weight loss journey? I'm feeling really positive. I have 6 stone to loose in order to qualify for any fertility treatment.

I'm on sole source, step one. Sticking to shakes this week. Might have some "meals" next week. Might treat myself to a bar next month.

I feel like the bars could be a slippery slope
for me... I prefer cutting all solids out.

Yes I know, not the healthiest diet long term.. I have no intention of gaining it all back. It's not for everybody, please be nice :) I need a kick start.

Ok so today went fine at work but I'm now home smelling all the delicious cooking smells and there are loads of leftovers and I've had to just remove myself to my bedroom because I feel very hungry and deprived.

I have one shake left for the day which I'm trying to leave until a bit later if possible.

I am sure it will all be worth it but there's a full roast dinner down there and it smells delicious

Hello guys - I'm back!

Day 1 again for me. Have put 5lb on in 3 weeks - usually I'd be ok with this however given that I've shat through the eye of a needle and emptied 22 foot of impacted bowel I don't feel this is quite the achievement my head is making it out to be.

Still.. given what went out one end I made up for in putting back in via my mouth, I'll take it.

So.. here I go again.

Well done to everyone.. seems like you're all still in the game!!

@Delly1977 loooooolll let’s just say I was licking the bowl..and I’m a strong believer of table manners but I couldn’t resist 😂

@Campervan69 we understand your struggle but I promise you get through the first week and you will thank yourself and continuously look at things you want to wear for your Easter holiday..and I definitely recommend keeping a journal..write down why your doing this..and jot down your goals...it 100% helps..I done it for the first three weeks and it helped me get through the difficult bit..and keep yourself away from social situations where you will be tempted with food.. xx

Mexyy · 03/03/2020 20:29

@Juliecloud congratulations and welcome...if you want faster weight loss I recommend step 1...step 2 gives you a much slower weight loss and food prep is involved so you can get carried away with having a little bit extra of this and that which slows your weight loss further... I am a sweet Holic too but I recommend staying away from bars as they also slow down your weight loss...and the fact that you have so little to loose imagine if you done step 1 for 6 weeks you will hit your target xx

Mexyy · 03/03/2020 20:32

@RedDhalia welcome back sweetheart
I remember recommending you to take a laxative a while a back..trust me if you don’t have the 500ml water before your meal replacement and 500ml after you can get backed up..and slows weight loss so much because it gets backed up..just incase keep some with you at home and always press on your stomach to feel if it’s hard or not..if it is hard then you know your doing everything right and it’s just constipation that is holding you back.. I remember years ago when I done Cambridge I literally shot out a rocket looolll so I feel your pain sweetheart and yes it is an achievement so you can start fresh and not let any mistakes get in the way xx

Mexyy · 03/03/2020 20:34

What’s everyone’s weigh in day?
Mine is a Wednesday..I think it would be great to know everyone’s so we can cheer each other on.. xx

RedDhalia · 03/03/2020 21:13

Thanks @Mexyy unbelievably I was tanning my water. My bowel issues are down to having Cauda Equina syndrome 3 times in December. I had to have 3 big ops in 15 days for it and I was lucky not to be doubly incontinent so it's all to do with that. Not as lucky as I though!

You're not wrong about the water though! I'll be on bowel treatment probably for life now. Xx

Campervan69 · 03/03/2020 21:57

I have just been taking half of the shake with the same amount of water and half of the soup with the same amount of water and spreading it through the day so having six small meals. Do you think this is ok?

Mexyy · 03/03/2020 23:40

@RedDhalia awwww bless you..mad god ease your stress and make it easy for you ameen! Take it easy and make water your best friend..xx

Mexyy · 03/03/2020 23:41

@Campervan69 amazing idea to do...as your calorie intake is the same I don’t see there being any problem with doing that..it actually might be even better to do that..as it would ease the digestion process as your having more water xx

Delly1977 · 04/03/2020 08:32

@Campervan69 I make my shakes up with ice...unless I do a vanilla coffee! About 250mls water and 8 ice cubes....perfection and very filling! It really isnt easy when the world is still going on around you but stay positive and your goal is very easy to achieve x

Delly1977 · 04/03/2020 08:34

@RedDhalia yayyyy I'm proper glad you're back! How are things health wise? How you feeling? The impacted bowel sounds.....delightful! I DO NOT wish to know how you got it unimpacted 😩😩😳😳😜😜😜😘 x

RedDhalia · 04/03/2020 09:03

Haha, put it this way there was sobbing, sweating, shaking, wrenching and molten lava involved. Two weeks of it.

Hopefully I can start to see some decent losses now I'm not battling that!!

It's good to be back!

Delly1977 · 04/03/2020 13:00

I'm glad you're back x

Campervan69 · 04/03/2020 17:44

Oh God I'm so hungry. My husband makes home made pizza and the smells are driving me mad. This is day 3. Tell me it gets easier. I'm nearly fainting.

RedDhalia · 04/03/2020 18:01

Day 3&4 are the worst IMO. After that you've cracked it. Keep chugging the water!

Campervan69 · 04/03/2020 18:05

Thank you. I've just made half of my last Shake and left the other half for having later. I will keep drinking.... like Dory. Just keep drinking just keep drinking just keep drinking drinking drinking what do we do we drink drink drink.

RedDhalia · 04/03/2020 18:09

I have the same mantra, except mine applies to wine not water 😁

Campervan69 · 04/03/2020 18:15

Don't tell me that - that sounds way better Wine

So honestly after the first few days you can smell cooking smells and not feel hungry?

EREID1358 · 04/03/2020 18:38

Hi all!
My first week on cambridge (and my first post on here!) Weigh in on Friday. I had a step 2 meal today for the first time. Wish I didn't, was so much food!! So sticking to step 1 for now.

LouiseK1974 · 04/03/2020 19:19

Hi all, Im on day 5 of my first week and Im doing step 1A. I think there must be something wrong with me as I have been so hungry every single day and it doesnt seem to be getting any easier. I have 3 to 3 and a half stone to lose so im going to try my hardest to stick to it but its so tough. I have had to come home from work have my shake shower and get into bed so i dont go out and get some food x

Campervan69 · 04/03/2020 19:33

Not just you Louise. I'm starving. Came home and retired to my bedroom to try and escape cooking smells then I've just had a long bath and back in bed again

LouiseK1974 · 04/03/2020 19:36

Its so hard isnt it. My first weigh in is Saturday morning im hoping that will help me feel motivated to carry on

Campervan69 · 04/03/2020 19:55

We can do it. One day at a time Smile

Mexyy · 04/03/2020 20:07

Welcome and greetings @LouiseK1974 and @EREID1358
