Cambridge Diet / 1:1 diet, anyone? 2020 targets?

Hi all, does anybody want to buddy up through weight loss journey? I'm feeling really positive. I have 6 stone to loose in order to qualify for any fertility treatment.

I'm on sole source, step one. Sticking to shakes this week. Might have some "meals" next week. Might treat myself to a bar next month.

I feel like the bars could be a slippery slope
for me... I prefer cutting all solids out.

Yes I know, not the healthiest diet long term.. I have no intention of gaining it all back. It's not for everybody, please be nice :) I need a kick start.

So it’s my weigh in tomorrow and after Monday’s dive I’m not very optimistic. I’d be very happy to stay the same this week and also TOTM appeared this morning. Considered doing a blind weigh in this week but I’m just too nosey 😂

Mexyy · 27/02/2020 17:30

@allysan don’t worry about it..just some how make sure your bowels are empty before weigh in ..instead of a laxative try green tea..I’m just as nosey I need to see lol Xx

@sleslieuk
Here is the lay out

Start weight:
Original Total weight loss needed:
Total weight loss so far:
Total weight loss to go:
Final target weight:
Next small goal weight:

Hope this helps xx

Delly1977 · 28/02/2020 09:14

Good luck today @Allysan x 😘

Allysan · 28/02/2020 14:26

Lost 1.5 which considering my behaviour on Monday and being the TOTM I’m very happy. Also takes me to 1.5 stone 😍

sleslieuk · 28/02/2020 15:02

Lovely. Thanks v much. Xx

Delly1977 · 28/02/2020 16:55

Oh well done for turning it around @Allysan! I think that's a great loss all things considered x

Allysan · 28/02/2020 18:15

@Delly1977 I’m happy and back to it. I have so many events coming up. Let’s smash this weekend!! If I had done what I’d done on Monday on any other diet I would have given up for the entire week!

Mexyy · 29/02/2020 00:42

@Allysan amazing results..and yes let’s smash it! If it was any other diet I don’t you would have had a loss. That’s the beauty on Cambridge.

Anyone tried the soups? I have ordered a few of vegetable something and identical chilli I think it’s called. I’m hoping that as they aren’t as thick as the ready milk shakes they might digest more quickly which means faster weight loss xx

Mexyy · 29/02/2020 00:45

On a motivating note...none of my clothes fit me anymore..trousers are falling off..and it’s getting frustrating to keep them up..it feels amazing to feel the weight gone..but I don’t want to buy clothes and then have to buy more smaller clothes in a month or 2 ..I’m not complaining lol but stuck in a bit of a dilemma any thoughts? Xx

sleslieuk · 29/02/2020 06:17

Hi @Mexyy I can’t wait to have clothes falling off. In your position I’d probably by some cheaper clothes from Tu or Prinark. Maybe charity shops?

Mexyy · 29/02/2020 16:07

@sleslieuk great idea! Defo drop by primary...
Don’t worry I assure you within a few week you will be saying the same thing and feeling it too..

I realised today..that deep down I expected myself to fail..and that has held me back on so many diets I have done in the past five years after having a child..I have always lost some weight and then quit..but after seeing hard work pay off that feeling of expecting myself to fail is not going to stop me! It sounds strange but it’s my love for food and cravings that has kept this failure feeling in the back of my head

Bottom line is..you will succeed and my best tactic in the first foxhole weeks has been avoiding social situations where I feel I going to have temptations even avoiding going to the cinema because all I want to do is binge on nachos and nacho cheese lol xx

Allysan · 29/02/2020 20:28

Feeling clothes getting looser is a great feeling @Mexyy I haven’t noticed my clothes because I usually buy bigger but I have noticed it when wearing my coats.

I agree with all other diets it’s just so easy to have a bit extra and I find with SW or WW there would have been occasions when you would have a bad week and then lose weight then you’d push it a bit further.

You’re doing amazing! You’re making all the right choices and giving yourself the best route to get to goal! Xx

Mexyy · 01/03/2020 02:45

@Allysan it’s the best feeling when your coats are loose..especially around the arm area as they used to be so tight on me lol..

I soloute you @allysan..it’s not easy to get back on the wagon especially after having a day off..I remember if I did cheat I would binge like no tomorrow telling myself I cheated so might as well cheat better lol..it takes a lot of courage and effort to get back on it..so high ratings to you sweetheart amazing effort

And I 100% agree..I have had that problem on other diets...soooooo easy to eat a little bit more or have a few more syns or even on a low calorie diet..have few more calories and no weight loss..Cambridge is definitely worth the money xx

Mexyy · 01/03/2020 02:46

@Delly1977 how’s everything going? Hope your well xx

Delly1977 · 01/03/2020 08:48

Good morning beauties. I'm grand Mexyy, just trying to keep busy at weekends...which cost me £500 in b and q yesterday 😳😳😳😳😜😜😜😜

I'm loving the looser clothes too...my pyjama bottoms keep falling down 😝😝🙈🙈🙈 And the water flows freely around my ass in the bath....I am no longer a dam! I love that the changes appear reasonably quickly on this plan.

Have a lovely day all ❤

HedgeHogFoxBadger · 01/03/2020 18:51

Hi everyone. I want to lose about 1.5 stone. Would u recommend Cambridge diet?

Mexyy · 01/03/2020 23:16

@Delly1977 sounds exciting..nothing better than prepping for summer..

Loooooooolllll I totally hear you for the dam situation in the bath.. loooolllll I can’t wait to have that feeling lol.. xx

Mexyy · 01/03/2020 23:18

@HedgeHogFoxBadger hey...I super recommend this diet..absolutely the best.. and you can loose that amount of weight in 4 weeks just make sure you do step 1a with only 3 products a day.. hope this helps

Delly1977 · 02/03/2020 07:44

Another weekend smashed girls 👊👊👊 Its not easy but I love the feeling on a Monday when I know I've survived 😝😝😝

Campervan69 · 02/03/2020 14:06

Hi there. Can I join please? I want to lose a stone before I go on holiday for Easter. I've not been able to do it the mfp and exercise way so I'm going to see a consultant after work today.

Delly1977 · 02/03/2020 18:35

The more the merrier @Campervan69! Is this your first time doing this diet or have you done it before? X

Mexyy · 02/03/2020 20:18

Yes ladies another weekend gone..can’t wait to hit the 2 month mark on Wednesday..I tried vegetable crouton soup today and ohhhhhhh MY!!! After 7 weeks of not having anything savoury touch much mouth..it’s like my tastebuds were about to explode..and I am a chilli addict so I added tons of it and it was yummmm..I wouldn’t recommend anything savoury to new starters though..and yesterday I tried oriental chilli..it was a bit too powdery after I got through half the bowl..definitely prefer the Vegatabke crouton...I was so tempted to add salt to it but it’s a total No No unfortunately..

@Campervan69 welcome..to your new beginning..if your an on the go person I definitely recommend the chocolate ready shakes..they taste amazing..and I recommend to stay away from bars to achieve faster weight loss xx

Campervan69 · 02/03/2020 22:09

Thank you everybody it's the first time I've done this. I've got probably 2 stone really that I should lose but one stone that I want to lose and have been wanting to lose for a long time but just don't seem to be able to do it in any kind of slow and steady way. I get to where I'm quite comfortable and lose the motivation.

So I went and had my consultation today and I ended up getting the different types of soup for my lunch because I have soup for my lunch anyway, then I've got different smoothies for a 3 p.m. snack and different milkshakes for something around 7pm. I don't really have a breakfast usually so I'm going to try and continue in that way.

My problem is I have a house full of men several of whom are teenagers and they eat non-stop so the house is always full of cooking smells.

Delly1977 · 03/03/2020 07:38

@campervan69 get yourself a bottle of Listerine for the kitchen...have a swill whenever you feel the urge to pick a chip. I just swill it round when I'm cooking now. It really does help! Get plenty of water down your neck and be kind to yourself these first few days, it's not going to be easy for the first week but after that it will be fine. I am really looking forward to you reaching your 1stone! It's not going to take you long at all 😍😍😍

@Mexyy you made that soup sound like a Michelin Star winning dish 😝😝😝 I love the spaggers with loads of chilli! x

It's my 2 months next Wednesday too! 👍💪💪 x

Juliecloud · 03/03/2020 07:54

Hello! I’m starting today. I want to lose about 1.5st. I can’t decide whether to do step 1 or step 2. Not sure if I can stick to step 1.

Does it make any difference which products I get? I like the bars cos I have a sweet tooth.
