Cambridge Diet / 1:1 diet, anyone? 2020 targets?

Hi all, does anybody want to buddy up through weight loss journey? I'm feeling really positive. I have 6 stone to loose in order to qualify for any fertility treatment.

I'm on sole source, step one. Sticking to shakes this week. Might have some "meals" next week. Might treat myself to a bar next month.

I feel like the bars could be a slippery slope
for me... I prefer cutting all solids out.

Yes I know, not the healthiest diet long term.. I have no intention of gaining it all back. It's not for everybody, please be nice :) I need a kick start.

@LouiseK1974 @EREID1358 and @Campervan69

I PROMISE you it gets easier..I just hit my 2 month mark and I look back at how time went so fast..I know it’s easy to say but it all about the mind..train your mind and avoid things that will put you in temptation for the first two weeks..

First week is probably the hardest but after you get your first weigh in and stick to your water intake...you will be motivated by numbers on your first weigh in..just remember the water is what flushes the fat out..so keep drinking and drinking...and whenever you crave something drink black coffee it takes all the hunger and cravings away xx

EREID1358 · 04/03/2020 20:14

I'm due the TOTM for my first weigh in, typical! Thanks for the tip but I hate tea and coffee Hmm I'm drinking plenty though! And fruit tea when I'm bored of water.

Juliecloud · 04/03/2020 20:14

Are people combining this with fasting? My consultant recommended only eating 12-8pm. I have managed to stick to it so far but I am soooooooooo hungry.

EREID1358 · 04/03/2020 20:15

I'm not, mine said to try and space the products every 4 hours which doesnt really work when I have to have breakfast at 7.30am!

Allysan · 04/03/2020 20:23

Wow where have you lot come from 😂 welcome all!! And welcome back @RedDhalia, was lovely to see your name pop up xxx

I struggled to keep up with all the comments but for those just starting out... The first week especially day 3 and 4 for me were horrific and I do occasionally have days now (I’m in week 5) where I’m making the kids something and I want it. But only because it’s in front of me. The majority of the time though it doesn’t cross my mind. I sometimes forget my third product. I tend to eat between 12 and 9 each day. Stick with it and get to your weigh in and it’ll all be worth it xxx

Allysan · 04/03/2020 20:24

@Lisapendy19 how are you getting on

HedgeHogFoxBadger · 04/03/2020 20:42

Hi eevryone. I was just looking at the sight and emailed a consultant. Can anyone give me an idea on pricing please and does it really work?

Campervan69 · 04/03/2020 20:57

For me it was £51 for a week's worth of food which is probably less than I would spend on food for myself in a week anyway.

Allysan · 04/03/2020 22:07

Yeah about £50 a week for 3 products per day. Seems a lot but when I think of money I will save on my day to day food, alcohol, a quick coffee or lunch it soon evens itself out

Mexyy · 04/03/2020 22:31

@EREID1358 ask your consultant for the squash powder it has no calorie and apparently it tastes really good Xx

@Juliecloud
yes I am combining this with fasting..due to my low metabolism rate..it has increased my weightliss immensely but I fast for period of a maximum of 3 days..and sometimes 24hrs..it helps my body get out of a pattern.. but if you want to do fasting I suggest you start of small with 12hrs and then working up.. the only thing that keeps my hunger away is black coffee without it I don’t know where I would be Xx

Mexyy · 04/03/2020 22:35

@HedgeHogFoxBadger it depends on what products you get..and what consultant you go to..if you find a gold award winning consultant they normally do it full time and would give you a good price..

Ready shakes on the go and bars are more expensive and full price for 3 products a day for a week of ready shakes comes to about £70 but I went to a gold award consultant and she gives them to me for £47.50 and I know soups and other non ready products are cheaper..just try and find an award winning consultant xx

Mexyy · 04/03/2020 22:35

@Allysan missed you..where have you been..how is it going? Xx

@Delly1977 do you have a weigh in this week? Or next week? Xx

LouiseK1974 · 05/03/2020 06:53

Thank you :) I just need to try and keep going and hopefully my first weigh in on Saturday will motivate me to carry on

EREID1358 · 05/03/2020 07:20

Yeh I have the orange flavour powder and it is really nice, despite the smell of it!

Delly1977 · 05/03/2020 07:40

@Mexyy...next Tuesday x have you had yours?

@Allysan....are you doing ok??

Welcome to everyone else...wont type all the names as I've had 2 hours sleep and am a little delirious! But welcome to our gang 😘😘😘

Allysan · 05/03/2020 15:15

Hey 👋 I’m ok. I’ve been 💯 this week so hoping for a positive result tomorrow at weigh in. Has anybody else had their weigh in? X

Mexyy · 05/03/2020 19:46

@Delly1977 ahhhhhh mine was yesterday..and that chilli that I added to the soup caused a huge problem with my weigh in..only lost 1 kg which is 2.2 lbs super bummed out...I am going to stick to the shakes from now on..and having that dammm scrumptious soup brought on so many cravings...learnt from my mistake though..xx
Ok
so @delly1997 is on Tuesday
I am on Wednesday
@allysan is on Friday
And everyone else ? Xx

Mexyy · 05/03/2020 19:47

@EREID1358 I think it’s fair to say that all the products smell horrible but taste good lol xx

Campervan69 · 05/03/2020 20:11

I weigh in on Monday. Am excited actually. Today was a lot easier. Got a nutribullet delivered to work so I can make them with ice also mixes them better.

Feeling flooded with hope as I've been trying to lose this damn stone for about 7 years now without any luck. Could this be the magic formula?

Allysan · 05/03/2020 22:26

That’s in the right direction @mexyy we’ll done! I tried chilli in my spaghetti Bol and it set my mouth of fire, took me bloody ages to eat it.

One on the downsides to this diet and it is a small downside, is that I wake up every morning needing a pee soooo badly, it’s painful. Or it gets me up during the night 😩 obviously every time you wake up you need the loo but this is something else

RedDhalia · 05/03/2020 22:34

Evening all. Day 3 done. I've defo been more hungry this time around. Had the mother of all headaches this morning but feeling ok tonight.

I've stuck like glue to it. My weigh in is next Tuesday..

Onwards and downwards people!!

Mexyy · 05/03/2020 23:19

@Allysan I feel your pain..same thing with me too
Either I wake up at night or I’m rushing in the morning..only thing that helps is to finish you water intake an hour before bed and I use the toilet before bed too..if I don’t that’s it..I will be up at night..so uncomfortable and you can’t sleep with it either..
I’m such a chilli addict I could eat birds eye chillies by its self..and that was my mistake doing that with the soup..it really made a bad impact on weight loss

Btw how is the spaghetti bol? Any good? Xx

Mexyy · 05/03/2020 23:21

@RedDhalia well done.. headaches sometime a sign of water intake..double your water intake if you can.. dispersable pandol work better and quicker then the tablets it’s self.. hope it works xx

Mexyy · 05/03/2020 23:23

@Campervan69 I think it fair to say all of us are extremely jealous of you 😂 we all wish we only had one stone to loose..don’t worry keep at it and you will be done in no time xx

Campervan69 · 05/03/2020 23:59

My evening has turned to utter tragedy in 4 hours. My mother-in-law was going to the theatre this evening and we got a call to say she had a stroke, my husband has rushed off to hospital just texted me to say they are turning the ventilators off so sat here in limbo at the moment waiting to be told that she's died. Completely out of the blue. She was elderly but fit and healthy.
