Hi all, does anybody want to buddy up through weight loss journey? I'm feeling really positive. I have 6 stone to loose in order to qualify for any fertility treatment.

I'm on sole source, step one. Sticking to shakes this week. Might have some "meals" next week. Might treat myself to a bar next month.

I feel like the bars could be a slippery slope
for me... I prefer cutting all solids out.

Yes I know, not the healthiest diet long term.. I have no intention of gaining it all back. It's not for everybody, please be nice :) I need a kick start.

Thanks @Allysan !

Delly1977 · 22/02/2020 09:08

@Allysan...draw a line and crack on. Nobody in their right minds can resist Pizza! It's just a lickle blip ❤

@Lucyhughes101 you dont have to tell a single person. Socialising is difficult though and people at work might notice your habits change but its nobody's business but your own x

Allysan · 22/02/2020 10:17

Thanks @Delly1977, absolutely focused today xx

@Lucyhughes101 I’ve told on a select few people because like you I just don’t want the comments. I’m out tonight and I’ve decided to drive so that avoids questions about drinking (which I would normally do) and I suspect food will be suggested and I’m just going to say I’ve already had my tea.

If there are ever cakes at work which seems like every bloody day I just say I’m on a diet! They don’t need to know the extent.

Little while lies which you need to do to keep you on your mission xx

Allysan · 23/02/2020 10:07

Morning all

I went out out last night, I drove and had 2 diet cokes and no food 👊👊 but realised I had drank no water yesterday, probably 7cups of coffee but no water so today that’s my focus.

I also jumped on my scales this morning and it show me moving into the next stone bracket, so I’m pretty chuffed.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend xx

sleslieuk · 23/02/2020 11:58

Hi
Can anyone point me to any other Cambridge Diet 1:1 forums/Instagrammers? Will need all the help I can get! Thanks x

Allysan · 23/02/2020 12:56

I tend to search for hashtags on Instagram such as #cambridgediet and #one2one

sleslieuk · 23/02/2020 17:27

Thanks. Will do that. Xx

Delly1977 · 24/02/2020 07:49

Well done @Allysan that is a brilliant achievement! Can't have been easy but I bet you feel great for it. I don't go out often so haven't faced that hurdle just yet!

I'm feeling very proud for facing a very challenging and stressful week without reaching for the chocolate. I can't believe I've stuck to plan but I feel really good for doing so. Weigh in tomorrow...I don't get big results but I'm hoping for a good one! 😜 x

And thank christ school is back today! Haha!

Allysan · 25/02/2020 16:12

@Delly1977 well done on getting through last week, school holidays are a challenge. There just seems to be food everywhere you go.

How did you get on with your weigh?

I failed in the biggest way yesterday. It was my birthday and I planned to be 100% but I caved. I won’t disclose what I ate. I’ll tell you what though I felt absolute crap after. I felt sick and bloated and tired. Hated the feeling and was so disappointed in myself.

Back to it today and I thought it might be hard again but so far so good. The scales will be interesting this week 🤔

Delly1977 · 25/02/2020 16:20

Oh Happy Birthday for yesterday! Oh I hope the scales are not too horrible to you! I think psychologically it's a tough diet on any special occasion, I envy those who can stick to plan rigidly over christmas. Not sure I could. Hopefully I wont have to!

I've not had my fortnightly weigh in yet, its tonight. I'm dreading it. Honestly I've stuck to plan 100% but the thought of weigh in gives me anxiety! X

Mexyy · 25/02/2020 17:01

@Allysan congratulations on the special day..and try eat some duculux to flush out those calories you had and it won’t effect your weight loss xx

@delly1977 so excited for your weigh in tonight. Don’t worry you will do well. And look forward to celebrate the loss tonight.. xx

Sorry for disappearing it’s been a hectic week..weigh in is tomorrow I can’t wait..other than seeing my double chin nearly gone and seeing my neck bones after so long is such a good feeling..I hope the next 4 weeks go super fast lol xx

Lucyhughes101 · 25/02/2020 17:50

Hi, can I join? I saw my consultant yesterday and have started on step 2 so hoping I can stick at it.
I have to confess as I started today I did have a pancake but that’s it now and it’s plan only from here.
Sounds like you are all doing well.

Delly1977 · 25/02/2020 17:58

Hey @Mexyy! Oh you're smashing it, look forward to hearing your results!

@Lucyhughes101 welcome to our gang! It's not the easiest of plans in the first week but you will get rewarded with great results x

Ladies....my gorgeous consultant is bringing me the new peanut bars tonight, she says they're amazeballs! I'm looking forward to trying them....although I will feel like I'm cheating on my beloved Peanut Crunch bars lol x Any of you tried the new ones? Xx

Allysan · 25/02/2020 21:16

Welcome @Lucyhughes101 the more the merrier in this group

Good luck tonight @Delly1977 can’t wait to hear how you’ve done! New peanut bars are spot on!!

@Mexyy I did consider it but I was too scared because I’ve been at work and I have a weird thing about not going at work 😂 good luck with your weigh in, loving that you can see physical changes xxx

Delly1977 · 25/02/2020 22:15

@allysan I have the same thing too....I cant have a bob anywhere but home. Last time I had a Dulcolax it was VERY EFFECTIVE....in the decorating aisle in Wilkos! The thought still makes me blush. 🤢🤢🤢#nevertrustacambridgefart

I lost 7lb which is a massive loss for me, I expected 4! So if this continues I shall hit the stone a month loss x I am very happy 😘😘😘😘

Allysan · 25/02/2020 23:03

@Delly1977 you absolutely smashed it!! Well done, so happy for you 👏👏 bet you feel fantastic!!

Also 😂😂😂 that’s a very funny story, did you own bit of decorating 😂😂

Mexyy · 25/02/2020 23:08

@Lucyhughes101 welcome..and here to support..just get through the first week and stay on top of water intake and you will see results xx

@Allysan I am the exactly same..I have an OCD problem..can’t go to the toilet anywhere but home..the thought of having to go anywhere else is cringe lol ... best alternative is to drink double the amount of water..to flush the calories out..xx

@delly1977 OH MY DAYS you smashed it congrats..so much closer to that stone amazing news..the mind training is paying off.. bring on Week 7
Wilko decoration aisle loooolll can you imagine since I have started the diet I literally have such a loose stomach as if I have been taking laxatives and have shockingly learned to control it loool I think it’s due to water intake or something.. xx

Delly1977 · 26/02/2020 07:08

Thanks my darlings! I'm very very happy with 7lb every fortnight if it continues. My hubby lost 7lb too so hes on a 2 stone loss, hes moving up to Step 3 this next week or so! I'm on 1 and a half stone loss so far 😍
My little boy is the same...he won't go anywhere but home 😂 I get all the stinky nappies, the first thing he does when he gets home from school 💩💩💩

Mexyy · 26/02/2020 11:59

Amazing news @Delly1977
Be proud of both yourselves and it will be an amazing memory every time you look at each other. Amazing work!! Super blessed to do it with someone that lives with you too xx

I just had my weigh in..I lost 2kg this week..which is about 4.4 pounds... I currently weigh 120.4kg i can’t wait to get into the teens lol 120.4kg is 18.9 stone

Target weight : 75kg/ 11st.81
Original weight loss needed : 63.6kg / 10st.1

Total weight loss to go: 45.4kg / 7st.1

Ladies I normally used this lay out in my calendar on my phone..super motivating and reminds me how far I come.. I hope this helps and hope it’s motivating
Bring on week 7 xx

sleslieuk · 26/02/2020 14:30

Well done everyone on your losses!
I’m on day 3 now and so far so good. I forgot to pick the bars so will get them next time.
@Mexyy which ducolax product do you recommend ? I’ve got a meal out on Saturday so I might need Ducolax.
Thanks in advance xx

Delly1977 · 26/02/2020 15:29

Well done @mexyy you are just smashing it! I am going to copy your stats layout, we need things like this to keep us going when our journey is going to be a longish one! I shall put it in my calendar and update weekly! ❤

Mexyy · 26/02/2020 17:36

@Delly1977 thank you sweetheart..the scales going down such a good feeling..but nothing beats feeling your bones again lol.. the lay out definitely helps..something I love doing is small goals too..my next small goal is 113.9kg in 4 weeks which is about 1st.2 roughly..
It makes it easier feeling that your getting closer to your original goal xx

@sleslieuk amazing work..getting through the first couple days is the hardest so difficult part is nearly over..the duculux I suggest is the original one..and eat two before bed time but prepare for an explosion in the morning..and be prepared to go to the toilet lol..however don’t use this method all the time..eventually after taking it a few times it doesn’t work..so keep at as a one off..you don’t want to be in a situation where..your in week 3 and you decide to have a cheat day because you know you have duculux..when being on Cambridge diet our body goes into ketosis and we also burn our fat through that..so once you eat carbs you come out of ketosis..so when you go out try to stick to proteins only like fish, chicken, meat etc hope this helps xx

Mexyy · 26/02/2020 17:41

Also to anyone reading this who is not on the forum .. please don’t compare your weight loss results to mine.. I am not having 3 shakes a day..and I am also regularly doing intermittent fasting 2-3 times a week..I have one shake a day when I’m not fasting and I know I am going to be home and not doing much..and on active days when I am at the office or going out I then have 2 shakes a day..and I drink loads of coffee too.. I am only doing this as my body is different my metabolism rate is extremely slow..and these things are the only things that get my metabolism rate going and active xx

sleslieuk · 26/02/2020 17:45

Thanks @Mexyy. All noted. I can’t see the layout you’re talking about but I’m writing this on my iPhone. Is it a template ? Xx

Allysan · 26/02/2020 20:23

@Mexyy that’s fantastic 👏👏 those numbers just keep on dropping, you must be so happy

@sleslieuk keep at it, you’re doing great!

I keep all my numbers in my phone and update it weekly, it’s a really good motivator
