Cambridge Diet / 1:1 diet, anyone? 2020 targets?

Hi all, does anybody want to buddy up through weight loss journey? I'm feeling really positive. I have 6 stone to loose in order to qualify for any fertility treatment.

I'm on sole source, step one. Sticking to shakes this week. Might have some "meals" next week. Might treat myself to a bar next month.

I feel like the bars could be a slippery slope
for me... I prefer cutting all solids out.

Yes I know, not the healthiest diet long term.. I have no intention of gaining it all back. It's not for everybody, please be nice :) I need a kick start.

Hi everyone
I’ve just started today . Day one and boy it was hard . I haven’t drank a lot of water but tomorrow will be better . I have 5 stone to lose .
Wish me luck

Mexyy · 19/02/2020 06:30

Welcome @Tanya256..water is key to loose the weight..so try you best to get it down you xx

@Lisapendy19
1lb more gone forever..don’t about it and get back on the wagon xx

@Delly1977 I’m well sweetheart how are you? I don’t how you do it..I weigh my self everyday lol..I solute you literally for not weighing yourself..
In total I lost 1.8kg this week which is about 3.9 lbs. I’m super gutted as I was hoping to have just as good weight loss as last week..xx

Btw anyone experiencing dreams..where they broke their diet ? Or is it just me xx

Delly1977 · 19/02/2020 08:09

Oooh @Lisapendy19 at least it wasn't a gain! I swear if I had done that I would have put on 😂😂. How you feeling after it? Are you struggling to stick to plan or straight back on it? X

@Tanya256 welcome and good luck. It will all fall into place. I smash 4 litres down like it's a cup of tea every day 😂. Get this first week over with and it gets easier, I promise x

@mexyyy that's a great loss! You had a mahoooosive loss last week...it was always going to be a tough one to follow up!

I'm having a lot of weird and wonderful dreams...every night is like going to the cinema 😝 but none about food just yet. Last night my 70 year old neighbour Sandra found herself a new boyfriend and was having very loud fun with her windows wide open! Hope I dont see her today, I wont be able to look her in the eye 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 x

Allysan · 19/02/2020 13:27

@Tanya256 welcome to the club, the first week is an absolute bag of crap but push through, drink lots of water, sparkling is filling and when it gets rough go to bed. You’ll feel fine in a week

Not bad @Lisapendy19 considering. I’m dreading my first TOTM since being on the diet. I was a terrible eater when due on! So I think you did pretty good!

@Mexyy @Delly1977 no weird dreams for me, well no weirder than normal 😂

My head is really fuzzy today. Think I might be coming down with something. Sounds likely because I’m off work with the kids for half term, always happens when I’m off.

I think a nap is calling me today...zzz

Thanks guys !! Yesterday was hard . Day two. Is even harder . I feel really tired but then get sudden bitter of energy. Lol

Allysan · 19/02/2020 21:49

Hey @Tanya256 just push through and this time next week will be completely different

Delly1977 · 20/02/2020 08:21

How you feeling today @Allysan?

I cannot believe I've almost survived the school holidays on plan! Wooohooo! For me that is a miracle!

Keep going my loves...we're smashing it! X

Allysan · 20/02/2020 08:29

Snap @Delly1977 holidays are tough. I’m doing pancake day tonight too. Next Tuesday is too crazy to try and fit in pancakes. Well done for surviving, a massive test 👏👏

Better today, think I just felt a bit rough yesterday. Going to now head out for a walk by the sea this morning to get some fresh air.

Anyone else spend lots of time reading other Cambridge threads and Instagram posts to get motivation? I love seeing what people have achieved and then imagining being able to write those posts myself

Delly1977 · 20/02/2020 09:43

I have read lots of threads but don't have Instagram, I dont understand it because I am an actual dinosaur 😝😝😝. I follow the lady on YouTube who has lost loads...(Ana A, her transformation is incredible)

A walk by the sea sounds just perfect, do you live close you lucky thing!

My little chap is poorly today and I'm struggling with a very heavy period, the rain is pouring so we're having a duvet day x he is watching Mr Tumble on repeat 🙈🙈🙈🙈

Allysan · 20/02/2020 13:32

Oh Mr Tumble, I don’t miss those days but kids just love him. Duvet day sounds perfect and hope he’s feeling better soon and that your TOTM is kind to you x

I live on the Isle of Wight so I’m surrounded by the sea, it was a very wet walk and windy but needed to get out and do something.

I’m going to check out the person on YouTube, keep me occupied for a bit x

Delly1977 · 20/02/2020 14:54

I have grown accustomed to him over the years...although he still gets on my wick! He regularly goes to my little boys school to film but Alfie has never been lucky enough to meet him...a few of his pals have been on the show though 😍

If you've never heard Justin Fletcher sing What Does the Fox Say? you have never lived 😝😝😝😝

Oooh how wonderful to live in such a beautiful place! Gotta be better than rainy Manchester Haha!

Ana is great, her videos are very long so I haven't watched them all but she has done so well. Shes my 'go to' if I am struggling x

Allysan · 20/02/2020 18:04

@Delly1977 I’m from Salford originally 😂😂

Delly1977 · 20/02/2020 18:36

Oh theres not much difference between the 2! 😂😂😂 x

Allysan · 20/02/2020 20:55

Got my weigh in tomorrow, how come you always feel heavier just before a weigh in? But that’ll be 3 weeks done!

I’ve hung up 2 summer dresses on my door that currently don’t fit, can’t wait for them to get looser, fingers crossed

sleslieuk · 21/02/2020 06:47

Mexyy · 21/02/2020 13:28

Welcome @sleslieuk and congratulations on taking the amazing step..

@Delly1977 @allysan I feel your pain about the school holidays..it gets difficult but for some reason whenever I cook and I literally feel full..anyone feel like that? It’s like all my cravings have been satisfied lol xx

@allysan how was your weigh in ? Xx

Delly1977 · 21/02/2020 13:45

Nope Mexyy, I absolutely do NOT feel like that lol! I've got a bottle of Listerine and I have a nice swill as um cooking and dishing up! Lol x

Allysan · 21/02/2020 15:37

Welcome @sleslieuk, we’re all here to support each other

I too have never felt like they @Mexyy I’m staying as far away from cooking at the moment if I can help it. Other half has been great.

I lost 4.5 so as it stands I have lost 19.5 in 3 weeks and I’m .5lb away from my next stone bracket

Delly1977 · 21/02/2020 16:36

Well done you little beauty! That is an absolutely brilliant loss xx

Allysan · 21/02/2020 21:20

Thanks @Delly1977 but I’ve pucked it up by having a slice of pizza. My kids are having a sleepover and I got proper cravings. I’m really pissed at myself.

Lucyhughes101 · 21/02/2020 23:28

I’m hoping to start this diet soon but wondered if it’s easy to hide from friends and family. I need to make a change but don’t want to hear the usual “you will fail” if I tell them I am going on this diet. I will tell people when I am happy to maintain but don’t want to set myself up for a fail
