@theweightlossone just seen your comment about an October wedding too! We can do this!

MurielTheCamel · 07/01/2020 15:11

I think it's an app called My Fitness Pal

WhatALearningCurve · 07/01/2020 15:22

@oksunny it's an app called my fitness pal. You put in your weight and height etc, what you want to weigh and how active you are and it tells you how long it should take you to get there and the optimum calories you should be eating to achieve it.

You log all your foods there and it tracks calories or macros as well as your exercise and then at the end of each day it tells you what your predicted weight would be in five weeks if every day was similar in terms of calories intake and exercise.

You can also add friends on to encourage and motivate

SunshineAvenue · 07/01/2020 15:40

I did it Muriel and even managed to steer clear of the left over Xmas biscuits/sweets at work. Very busy this morning so didn't have too much time to think about it. I was very pleased to have my lunch though and looking forward to my dinner!

Almost at the end of week 1 and feeling very positive.

How are you holding up Muriel? It's nearly 4pm!

MurielTheCamel · 07/01/2020 15:45

Well done sunshine!

Well I'm practically drooling, just had to come upstairs as I was eyeing up the fruit bowl. I am nearly there though and might even make it to 4.30 Smile

OkPedro · 07/01/2020 17:54

Count me in please 😁
I’m 12st 13 (eek) I’d like to lose 3 stone but to get to 10st would be amazing!

I had to give up alcohol 9 weeks ago. I lost about 6 lbs since then but have put it back on over Christmas.

Homemade potato wedges with sirloin steak and lots of vegetables for dinner tonight.
I walked 5km earlier with the dc on their bikes 💪

KatzP · 07/01/2020 18:47

Hi am I too late to join?! Currently 13st 5 and am 5’4” and very much an emotional eater. Managed to get to 12st last year and the. Had family stress and started to eat my feelings (again!). Currently aiming for 1200 kcal a day. Once ok with that will aim for 2-3 days at 800 kcal. I also aim to fast for at least 12 hrs a day.

theweightlossone · 07/01/2020 18:51

Stir fry for dinner here tonight.

Asked OH to weigh me out 100g of chicken, it was pathetic!

Will have 187 cals left after dinner and plan to have some chocolate. Had cake at work today but I don’t feel too guilty because it’s all accounted for and under my limit.

nakedavengeragain · 07/01/2020 19:07

6lbs down in a week on Fast 800 and 20g carbs.

I know it's all water weight and next week I doubt I'll see any loss but pretty happy with that as a starter!

My Fitbit app is fairly happy with me given I've lost 2s over last year but it's a little disconcerting to see it gaily claim "Just 2s 2lbs to go and your goal is in the bag!!" Confused

DivisionBelles · 07/01/2020 19:53

Weighed in for the first time this morning and I'm a horrifying 13.12. I'm 5'3" and would like to be 10.7.

Today I've had:

B: porridge, made with semi skimmed milk, strawberries and blueberries
L: Wholemeal pitta with prawns, baby leaves, a bit of avocado and two satsumas
D: Pinch of Nom Keema Pie with broccoli
S: a banana and a random chilli thin thing I found in my desk drawer as I was starving at 3pm.

I use the Nutracheck app and have come in at 1300 calories. This is the time of day when I want to snack so I'm trying to distract myself by looking at weight loss success stories and filling up with water.

WhatALearningCurve · 07/01/2020 19:56

Done for the day. I'm in work tomorrow so probably won't have a deficit because I'm not going to get anywhere near 10,000 steps in I don't think but going to stick to calories and obviously it all balances itself out

Anyone looking to lose about 3 stone?
Ferrisbuellersdayoff · 07/01/2020 20:00

I was one stone down, two to go. I haven't lost anything since Maybe 19, and put a few pounds on over Christmas, so I'm now 3/4 of a stone down Blush

Ferrisbuellersdayoff · 07/01/2020 20:00

Maybe? May!

lorza03 · 07/01/2020 20:16

yesss I must join the group, I have 3 children under 5. 4yo, 2.5yo and 8 month old. I lost 2.5 stone after my second child the got since my last child I have lost no weight, I am currently 14st 8p and 5ft 4.5in. I am tried of being this way, I eat through emotions when I feel fed up - my huband isn't round much as he either works long day or away. I feel stuck on where to start and how to tackle, so far I have made myself a food diary to fill in so I don't cheat myself! any tips of motivation ladies

Sjanish33 · 07/01/2020 20:50

Hi all

Still struggling here but have decided to up the calories from 800 vlcd to 1200 - I got a headache yesterday and a migraine today so the very low is just not suiting me.

Instead of a dinner out of a packet I'm making my own this evening was sweet potato oven chips with roast brocolli and an oven roasted sausage - it was very tasty!

I meant to get back on the exercise bike today but I felt so floored by the migraine I did nothing. I'm still 1 kilo down on last week so I'm happy enough there.

Oksunny · 07/01/2020 21:35

Read everyone’s updates but can’t reply individually as so many! But again welcome to everyone new & well done to everyone for keeping on plan Smile

So day 6 for me on the OMAD. Pesto pasta & salad for dinner. The hunger has decreased a lot which is great, I’m not really struggling. But I have been quite tired & a bit grumpy. Hoping after the one week slump it will become the new norm.

Some big losses here already which is GREAT! Well done everyone 👏🏼

@nakedavengeragain I haven't even put my weight loss goal into my Fitbit, would find it far too depressing!!

Well day 2 for me and it's going ok, although I need to think of something quick to make for lunch tomorrow; I don't find meal planning easy but it is admittedly very useful.

I'm using the new Davina McCall website (free trial) as there's some good workouts on there that I can do at home. Hoping it keeps me motivated for a while!

RedDhalia · 07/01/2020 22:04

Day 2 complete for me. I've got a bit of a headache tonight but I think that's usual on Cambridge. Feel better just for doing something about it!

SunshineAvenue · 08/01/2020 07:19

SW: 14st 13 (01/01/20)
CW: 14st 04 (08/01/20)
Total loss 9lbs

A good start. I've been doing Fast800 I suppose with intermittent fasting of 14/10 or 16/8 depending on how I feel.

Ready for week 2.

theweightlossone · 08/01/2020 07:30

01/01/20 11.13
08/01/20 11.06

So happy with that! I know chances are it’ll go back up next week but what a boost to keep me motivated!

Well done everyone.

ArthurMorgan · 08/01/2020 07:41

I'm a bit late to the party but I'd love to join. I'm 5'11 and around 17 stone. I'm working up to only eating one meal a day again.. Which is the only thing that works for me due to my major food dependancy issues Blush

Jeds55 · 08/01/2020 11:27

Amazing starts @SunshineAvenue and @theweightlossone must be really motivating
Day 3 here, going well so far, managed a run yesterday and going to do a session with resistance bands later. Got a meal out Sat aftrr kids party food! and potentially next Weds now too so damage limitation required.

Lostintransfixation · 08/01/2020 19:11

Wow some great losses so far. My first weigh in tomorrow... I have tried really hard but I dont think much will have shifted. I swam yesterday, Monday walked for 90min and also swam so that I was out if breath. Sitting down all day today and tomorrow though... Any other vegetarians on this thread?

WhatALearningCurve · 08/01/2020 19:20

Having the worst day due to my ex being an incompetent piece of s**t but resisting all urges to eat my emotions or even drink my emotions and imagining what I'll be able to fit in at our sons christening in two weeks if currently weight loss continues ha
