Anyone looking to lose about 3 stone?

Oksunny · 02/01/2020 17:51

I started today - 2 children in close proximity & stuffing my face has left me with 3 stone to lose! 5ft3 currently weigh 13stone. Anyone wanna join the chat?

Also finding it harder today.
I did a 24hr fast, which I can do without too much effort, but then I am a bit over-enthusiastic when I do eat. So nothing today until 6pm and then I ate:
Cracker with cheese
A couple of walnuts
Bowl of pasta with mushroomy sauce
Banana
Yogurt
2 x squares 90% dark chocolate
😳

Oh well - focus on the win part which was fasting in the first place and not eating anything too crappy. I am probably at about 800 kcal there so it's ok, I just didn't need the last few bits. I might try another 24hr fast tomorrow and see if I can do a bit better, maybe lose the banana and yogurt.

Onwards and upwards

Thanks so much for all the sympathy it really is much appreciated.

Time to draw a veil over my eating today- even managed to sabotage dry January by having a huge glass of red wine. Oh well. Start again in Sunday or Monday.

nibdedibble · 11/01/2020 08:35

Well, another lb down so that’s over...a kilo, one. It truly is harder when you are mid (ok late) 40s but I cannot go into my fifties weighing this much, it’s just too unhealthy.
I’ve been doing dry January and that’s fine but I’d like to see a few more pounds melting off me if I’m honest Grin

(Trewser....start again today! Flowers )

Oksunny · 11/01/2020 09:03

You’re doing great @nib well done 👏🏼

Saturday weigh in and I'm down 2 pounds to 13.7,
Did all 4 workouts this week, but really struggled to get my steps in, I've spent so much time stuck under a sleeping baby!
Had a very small glass of wine last night, did my nails and put on a face mask, feeling optimistic for next week.
Well done to everyone else on your losses as well.

WhatALearningCurve · 11/01/2020 09:36

So another bad night with the baby last night and according to the scales this morning I've put half a pound back on since Monday. Which would mean a loss of 3 lb this week and a gain of 3.5 in 48 hours. I know it's not right (I've been in calorie deficit every day and drinking about 5 litres of water) and I'm hoping that whilst my sons at his dads tonight I can get a proper nights sleep and get my body out of hibernation mode which it's clearly gone into ha.

However I'm determined to not go "ah fuck it" so I'm gonna still stick to 1200 today and tomorrow and hopefully still see some loss on Monday.

This is why I like weighing myself daily though because I learn a lot more about my body. If I weighed once a week and only saw a gain without seeing what had happened I'd definitely just give up

nibdedibble · 11/01/2020 10:02

@Oksunny Thank you! I know it is a long road, I'm determined to bloody continue! I've had zero alcohol, hardly any sugar, cut back on white carbs, eaten loads of veg, drunk more water (always room for more eh) and done yoga every day plus a couple of workouts on the exercise bike.

Note to self: more HIIT on the bike and get loads more steps in!

Usernamesarenotmyforte · 11/01/2020 10:16

My biggest downfall is steps. Been back at work this week and struggled to get to the 10000 some days and my weight loss has slowed right down. Luckily we live somewhere where you don’t need to use a car much so I’m going to try and get lots of walking in when I run my errands this weekend. Taking the scenic routes!

KatzP · 11/01/2020 10:38

@WhatALearningCurve it’s so hard when you’re sleep deprived. Just carry on trying your best and maybe focus on weekly weigh in only. I know my weight gets very erratic round my period. It can seem to jump up 5lb overnight. so I try to ignore the scales then.

I’ve had a good week so far - started on Monday. My aim is to not let a bad day derail. I lost 2.5 stone last year but only finished the year 0.5 stone lighter ... to yo-yoing can’t be good so I’m determined to be more consistent this year.

Megsmcgoo · 11/01/2020 12:40

Happy Saturday all, having a chilled day today, I’ve got tonsillitis and the whole left side of my face hurts, hopefully the penicillin kicks in quickly!
Had my first CrossFit session last night and I am so sore today! It was really good but difficult and I’m very unfit so looking forward to improving.

Woke up late so brunch was 1 sausage, 2 bacon and 1 hash brown sandwich.
Off to the cinema tonight and my boyfriend has suggested pizza for during the Liverpool game so will check out my options, I have about a 1000 calories to play with.

theweightlossone · 11/01/2020 12:49

Hi all!

Currently making lentil soup in my soup maker for lunch. Didn’t have any breakfast as didn’t get up until 11 Blush

I lost 7lbs this week THEN got my period the next day so I haven’t weighed since. I’m scared to weigh this Wednesday coming in case my period has messed things up. Should I wait another week?

Also, I’m having 1300 calories per day which is 500 less than my TDEE. Wondering if I should try one 24 hour fast per week to boost that? Any thoughts?

Usernamesarenotmyforte · 11/01/2020 14:05

I’m wondering the same @theweightlossone I’m due Monday and already getting the bloating. Don’t want to weigh myself and then sorrow/anger eat my way through my period if I’m not losing.

Zoeyclash · 11/01/2020 14:13

I haven't had time to read any of the thread yet but I'm hoping to lose around 3 stone also. I'm the same as you OP - about 5 foot 3 in height and weigh 13 stone. I'm looking forward to reading through the full thread later when I have time. Good luck to everyone!

SonjaMorgan · 11/01/2020 20:40

Congratulations to everyone who is getting good results. I'm not so optimistic for me, I think it's because I am struggling with the exercise part. Is anyone else feeling a bit sluggish? Does it get easier?

Today:
B: poached egg on toast.
D: a massive mushroom stir-fry with rice noodles.
May have a fibre one bar as a snack later.

I have also bought a new water bottle as my last one cracked.

lboogy · 11/01/2020 20:41

Went for a jog/walk this morning for 45m. Then did another 30m walk to the shops and park. Feeling good. Hopefully I'll be done to 78.5kg by Sunday. I've lost 1.5kg so far this month

Usernamesarenotmyforte · 11/01/2020 21:22

Did lots of walking today and then went for a 3 mile run. Would have been happy with just that but OH has turned our cellar into a gym and just set up a spin bike so I hopped on that for half an hour too! Struggling to find the will to stand up now though.

Sjanish33 · 12/01/2020 11:26

Brilliant work everyone! My TOTM came too and it's no wonder I was craving all sorts on Friday - but I managed to get out of the weekend almost intact - I have upped the calories so I have room for a few treats now and again, but I'm seeing treats as just lovely normal food (cheese) now and because I'm not having carbs, I really miss bread..:(

But I'm hopeful I have made enough changes to see a little loss on Thursday - I would be happy with a pound!

WhatALearningCurve · 12/01/2020 15:20

I've caved and am eating a baby nap McDonald's. However I purposefully got most of my life sorted before I went to pick my son up from his dads including his nursery bag for tomorrow so realistically once I put him to bed I'm going to get in bed as well so won't have any tea. (That's how I'm justifying it anyway ha)

Trewser · 12/01/2020 18:30

I've had an absolutely shite weekend food wise. Back on it tomorrow.

theweightlossone · 12/01/2020 18:49

Terrible day food wise as was out for a meal with family.

Won’t have any dinner though and will maybe reduce calories tomorrow. Fancy a 24 hour fast but won’t get a minutes peace if I don’t eat anything at work tomorrow Confused

Cat0115 · 12/01/2020 18:51

Me! Actually have 7 stone to lose but 3 will do for now!

OkPedro · 12/01/2020 20:37

I just had a Big Mac 😭 it was delicious though!

I’ve lost 2lb in 7 days and I go and eat about 750 calories in one go!

Trewser · 12/01/2020 21:03

I worked out that a MacDs hamburger with extra pickles and a diet coke is less than 200 calories

OkPedro · 12/01/2020 21:05

I know that for next time.. Thanks trewser

RedDhalia · 12/01/2020 22:45

Day 7 done today. Weigh in tomorrow!

I've lost two inches around my waist so far, but don't feel any lighter so will see what the scales say 😬
