I’ve been living off Brie and chocolate since December began and I’ve put weight on. Currently 9st4lbs and I want to be 8st10lbs.
Anyone with me!?

Going to try calorie counting but open to suggestions. I currently eat far to much crap which is the root of the problem.

This thread moves fast !
Today I've been good diet wise, got a walk in but forgot to drink my water. I'm way behind.
Will drink some now but wont get enough in or I'll be running to the loo all night !
Brekkie: banana, 2 boiled eggs and 1 slice of wholemeal toast
Lunch: falafel and green salad
Dinner: Meatballs and spaghetti and salad.
Snacks : orange, apple, handful of mixed nuts .
Will have a mini bar this evening.
When I write it all down , it sounds like a lot Hmm, will have to watch and see if I lose anything .
I suppose I'm doing better than last week , when I would have wolfed a packet of biscuits and 2 packets of crisps in one sitting.....time will tell Wink

toasterstrudle · 06/01/2020 18:59

Well done everyone!! Tbh for me weighing myself is sometimes the scariest bit.

Weight on 6/1 is 139.4lbs

Today was more on track than yesterday's junk food.
B - 2 eggs and a slice of toast

T - broccoli mash with bolognaise style mince and some cheese

Ex - couch to 5k W3 run and 40mins BodyCombat

frenchgraze · 06/01/2020 19:00

Can I join? I've always been naturally slim...because I ate well and exercised. Both have been slipping after my 40's baby. I need to loose about 14lb, although I'm too frightened to get on the scale after a week in the States. I'll be happy with 9st 7lb. My skinny weight is 9st 4lb.

frenchgraze · 06/01/2020 19:07

I've just ordered some bol soups, bol pots and pre cut fruit (I would normally scorn this) so this will be easy for me. I'm jet lagged and running after and lifting a busy one year old (weights and cardio - tick) all day. My husband is away for the next two weeks so I can really get stuck into this. I'm not going to drink at all where as I usually love a glass of wine in the evening. I'm going for clean eating for energy as well as weight loss.

catnidge · 06/01/2020 19:42

Can i join, id like to lose 10lb.

I going to eat sensibly during the week and relax a little at the weekends. Trying to do 10k steps a day but didn't manage it today as was on a training course most of the day.
I'm doing a 30 min youtube work out 6 times a week.

B bran flakes mixed with mini shredded wheat.

L Greek Yoghurt with Berries.

D Sauasge casserole with mash.

S glass of milk

checkedcloth · 06/01/2020 20:04

My problem is dinner. Hard to balance something really low cal and carb for both DH and I, especially when need to cook for the DCs too. We just had some chilli and rice and although I had a smallish portion I know it was carby.

WellErrr · 06/01/2020 20:32

I’ve had 1350 calories today, I’m not very hungry now though but I think maybe I’m just getting used to not eating as much!?

B - Muller fruit corner
L - falafel and salad wrap
D - 250g homemade whole wheat pasta with Mediterranean veg. Another muller corner for pud.

S - small bag choc buttons, one falafel

More than I’ve had any other day since I started, but I had a sporting event today so I needed a bit more..!

Well done to everyone! Loads of us sticking to it!
And congratulations to all my fellow losers Grin

Well done all. I'm just posting my food diary here.

Breakfast - coffee
Lunch - Baked potato with veg chilli and water
Dinner - Sweet chilli crackers, french onion soup, grapes.

Surely I will lose weight on this! I am desperate to lose now. Didn't do any exercise today as not feeling 100%.

KimchiLaLa · 06/01/2020 21:12

I don't know what my cals were today but I'll add them up.

B: Special K, half mug tea no sugar with semi milk, half mug coffee, no sugar, semi milk
L: Carrots, sautéed courgette and homous (random lunch from canteen)
D: Chickpea and normal pasta with mushrooms, half fat creme fraiche and olive oil

Lots of water

Snacks: A raffaelo choc, a bite of aero chocolate, a bite of cake at work for someone's bday, fruit salad

I need to cut the chocolate desperately but it's so hard. That's probably 3-400 calories on sugar that would help me lose what I need to!!

Patchworksack · 06/01/2020 21:37

@checkedcloth I find the Steamfresh bags of microwave veg good for this - smaller serving or cut out the carb element of the family meal and have extra veg. They do cauliflower rice, quinoa with veg if you feel the need for something more carby.

Patchworksack · 06/01/2020 21:39

@KimchiLaLa I have no moderation when it comes to chocolate. I took my kids to a science museum today and one of the exhibits was how long you had to step up and down to burn off various foods - 21 mins on a step machine to burn off a 2 finger Kitkat! Made me think twice!

jelly79 · 06/01/2020 21:47

Why is going from eating all the cheese and chocolate whilst being off work to dieting and being back at work so fucking hard ;) I've been hungry all day but eaten plenty!

In bed now hoping to lose weight when I sleep ;)

Designerenvy · 06/01/2020 21:49

@jelly79, yes, it's so tough, especially at the start . Best of luck, hoping it'll get easier for us all .

Farontothemaddingcrowd · 06/01/2020 22:04

It really is tough @jelly79, I'm struggling too. If the alternative was staying the same size and continuing to eat lots of unhealthy foods, I probably would lose the willpower - but I know those few pounds will creep up and up if I don't tackle it now. It's just slow and I want instant results!

MrsMigginsPie · 06/01/2020 23:04

Just weighed myself and am 9st 7lb...so pleased with that from 9st 10lb.

Today I skipped breakfast as was rushing around on first day back to school for DC and work for me. Had a chicken sandwich for lunch and DH cooked me an Aldi steak pie (!) and veg for dinner. Pie was a hefty 600cals! (And I had a small gin and slimline tonic! I’m trying to track alcohol on the drinkaware app which calculates how much you’re spending, how many calories you’ve consumed and gives you an equivalent no. of burgers And how long you’d have to run to work it off! Quite a good motivator...and I’m committing to not having another drink until Friday!)

Managed to do 30min yoga and walked a mile to station and back.

Howmanysleepsnow · 06/01/2020 23:21

I’m a bit late, but i’ll be your friend! I’ve a stone to lose but would prefer 1stone 4lb. Currently 11 stone at 5’6”. Unfortunately I gain at 1200 calories a day ( rapid downturn in metabolism since I hit 40 a couple of years ago).
My plan is
Step 1) convince dc to eat last of Christmas food
Step 2) cut down on alcohol
Step 3) walk more
Step 4) join dd in being vegetarian for a while at least

Howmanysleepsnow · 06/01/2020 23:21

Step 1 may take a while....

maddy68 · 06/01/2020 23:28

I also have 10lb to lose low carbing. It's the only thing that works for me. Just having my normal meals but without the potatoes or rice etc

checkedcloth · 07/01/2020 06:29

patchworksack thanks for those ideas that’s helpful

Cazmo2312 · 07/01/2020 07:33

Weighed myself this morning I am 13.12.8 so I have lost one pound already so I’m going in the right direction. Let’s just hope I can do the same for the rest of week. Training today and they serve the best cheese on toast so I shall have one piece as a little bit of what you fancy keeps the hunger wolves from the door Smile

HippoHips · 07/01/2020 07:37

No weight loss yet here Sad I started at 60 kilos wearing a t shirt and am now 59.9 without Hmm. Am a bit miffed given I’ve been sticking to no booze and cut out most of the crap (bar the ice cream on Sunday). I think that 10 years ago the weight would be coming off but at 48 it’s proving decidedly tricky to budge!!!

Cazmo2312 · 07/01/2020 07:40

have you measured yourself as well so you can see the little changes cos it’s hard not to fix on the numbers on the scales but you also can be losing inches as well. I weigh myself naked ha.
