I’ve been living off Brie and chocolate since December began and I’ve put weight on. Currently 9st4lbs and I want to be 8st10lbs.
Anyone with me!?

Going to try calorie counting but open to suggestions. I currently eat far to much crap which is the root of the problem.

@WellErrr I dont know.

I never lose weight unless I half starve myself and I find it too much.

DontFundHate · 21/01/2020 09:08

Well done @Wineloffa!

Aw no one can leave, we're all fwends now!! Smile

WellErrr · 21/01/2020 09:09

I’ve got a stinking cold too jogging - think that’s why I wanted to eat the world yesterday. Hope u feel better soon!

MyuMe which method are you following?

@ Wineloffa - well done you’ve reached you goal! Fantastic

@Twixes - thanks I couldn’t have done day 1 without everyone’s support

@ MyuMe don’t give up! I’m back on day 2 today and weigh more now than I did when started last week! Don’t give up pls x

MyuMe · 21/01/2020 09:34

@WellErrr eat less and move more. Just calorie counting

It worked and I lost 12kg a couple of years ago and now I've put back 3kg.

Patchworksack · 21/01/2020 10:57

Would intermittent fasting work for you MyuMe? Maybe try 5:2 - would 2 days of restricting to 800 calories and then not worrying about it for the rest of the week work? It's hard to stay motivated to lose a relatively small amount - you can't be overweight at 10 stone really so it's about the prize of being your 'happy weight' over the pull of chips!
I have the same dilemma - I have another 6-9lbs to lose and 2 months of making consistently good choices sounds a bit dull - I'm tempted to do some mad crash diet - but I know that I have to find something sustainable because I am 45 and I need to find a good way to maintain in the low nine's.

Patchworksack · 21/01/2020 10:59

Good to hear you feeling positive suzie keep up the good work!

I have done 9k steps already today - I'm supporting a friend to do couch to a mile so we went straight to the park from the school run. Still need to walk the dog so should clock up plenty of steps today.

TheHoundsofLove · 21/01/2020 11:12

Well done Wine - that's fantastic!
I know what you mean Patchwork . I think I've got about a stone left to lose - 8 and a half stone is my ideal. But, I've got a few favourite things that I really want to fit back into (main things are some leather leggings and an emerald green dress - both size 8) so will stop as soon as they fit me again. I'm a size 10 now, so think another stone should take me there...
I've kicked off today with an 8 km run and some yoga with Adrienne. It's a beautiful day here again and it really feels like Spring is on the way!

DontFundHate · 21/01/2020 12:45

Well done everyone

Today's plan
B - 2 pancakes, low fat yog, berries
L - gnocchi in tomato and pepper sauce
D - supposed to be tom kerridge lamb burgers but not sure I can be arsed... So we'll see! I guess I should make a more detailed plan than that so I'll stick to my cals but not feeling very motivated on my period

toasterstrudle · 21/01/2020 12:51

Well done @Wineloffa 🎉

DontFundHate · 21/01/2020 15:23

Update - made the burgers ahead of this eve, now I'll definitely stick to plan Halo

Heygirlheyboy · 21/01/2020 16:10

Yes I've logged my chicken and veg stirfry here so feel I'm done for the day! I'm coming in under, is it best to just leave it or would people eat up to the recommended calories? I think I will leave it...

toasterstrudle · 21/01/2020 16:17

I'd leave it @heygirl there'll be days you ho over so better to have some days under for weekly average

Heygirlheyboy · 21/01/2020 16:49

Yes good idea re weekly average, that's a good way to think about it. Left the exercise calories yesterday too. Thanks.

WellErrr · 21/01/2020 16:54

Leave it heygirl definitely!

I won’t be under today, I went for a cookie dough to celebrate doing my exam. I’ve only been over twice in 3 weeks though, you need it sometimes!

Worn clothes today I previously couldn’t fit into and I’m so happy, really feel it’s all been worth it.

Definitely firmly back on the wagon tomorrow though! 🤞

Patchworksack · 21/01/2020 18:16

Yes, I'd leave it slightly under unless you are feeling hungry.

We had yummy tea tonight - a veggie version of cottage pie from Tesco magazine, with lots of steamed veg on the side. Pie was 500 cals a portion but blooming lovely!

toasterstrudle · 21/01/2020 18:52

Feeling shite today but been for a long walk. All I want is crisps so I've eaten super low cal today to budget for a family bag of salt and vinegar crisps as my dinner 😂 But on the plus side somehow my macros are spot on and coming in under budget so it's a win! (My calorie goal is 1500)

WellErrr · 21/01/2020 19:47

I’ve had a total blowout today. 2000 calories.

Funny thing is, what I now consider a total blowout of unparalleled eating, was just a normal day before! It’s amazing how your thinking changes.

Going to try for a 900cal day tomorrow to compensate, and a long walk!

Wineloffa · 21/01/2020 19:52

Thanks everyone for your good wishes! I’m feeling pleased with myself today but also nervous about putting it all back on so will continue with my 1200 calories a day until I reach my new target, then I’ll increase to maintenance to keep it off.

Today I ate:

B- 2 boiled eggs (140 cals)
L- low fat hummus tub and rice cakes (200)
D- sausage, veg and bean casserole + cous cous (579)

Snacks- banana, Light&Free yogurt, choc covered rice cake (232)

Drinks- 2 black coffees, 2 litres water, a mint tea

DontFundHate · 21/01/2020 21:15

Managed a good day today, stuck to my 1400, no spare but pleased as didn't think I'd stick to it today.

Sometimes I feel like I self sabotage when I start doing well, I think because I get a bit complacent! "Oh I'm skinny now so I don't need to try anymore Grin" even though I haven't reached target yet!!!

Tomorrow's plan - lots of things made in advance to keep me on track as I know this could easily be "one of those weeks"!

Overnight oats (made this eve)
Barley and leek risotto
Spag bol with wholewheat pasta (from a batch made last month so from the freezer)

I also really really need to fit in a run so hopefully I'll feel up to that

Heygirlheyboy · 21/01/2020 21:16

Would love the recipe for that casserole if possible! Logged for the day, delighted. Keeping toaster's saying in my head re how long it may take tp see benefits.

Wineloffa · 21/01/2020 21:59

The casserole is a Hairy Biker’s recipe. I left out the bacon and added red pepper and mushroom instead. Left out the wine too but it was delicious!

Heygirlheyboy · 21/01/2020 22:26

Thank you so much!

This is totally me too!

Well I’ll be having a good day tomorrow. DD(5) has just woken up and been sick. She seems fine now and has gone back to bed, but I have a HUGE and I mean HUGE phobia of being sick. So for the next week I’ll be starving myself (if there’s not much in there you can’t sick much up, being my logic), and living in dread of the others catching it.

So now I’m actually really glad I had my mega day of eating today...!

Oh dear - hope it was just a one off and the rest of you stay well!

I am down another lb today, taking me to 9st8lb. I think I need to do weigh-in Wednesdays when the carb fest of the weekends has subsided!
