I’ve been living off Brie and chocolate since December began and I’ve put weight on. Currently 9st4lbs and I want to be 8st10lbs.
Anyone with me!?

Going to try calorie counting but open to suggestions. I currently eat far to much crap which is the root of the problem.

@Twixes I didn't lose week before last but I had lost 2cm off my waist, are you taking measurements? That might be motivating too

jelly79 · 20/01/2020 20:16

Weigh in:
0.5 up from last week (deserved) but still 3 down from NY

Today:

Ex 5k run
B porridge / banana
L chicken noodle soup
T hummus, salmon, salad. AF beer
Sx soreen

Ate out with work tonight so chose wisely!

Need to run everyday and swerve the snacks this week 🙏

WellErrr · 20/01/2020 20:20

Well I’ve had my toast. And a yogurt. You need to be able to dangle a foot off the wagon now and then I’ve decided!

This has totally changed my outlook though, possibly forever - before I would have just inhaled the toast then maybe some cereal and a biscuit with tea without really noticed.

But I really really ENJOYED my toast!

@WellErrr oh no don't take any notice, that would upset me too. You've done so well and I bet you can tell the difference

Welcome squares

Today has been tough, coming down with a cold and awful period pain since last night.

B - granola, low far yogurt
L - gnocchi with garlic and parmesan
D - tom kerridge pasta bake
S - small slice cake 150kcal, 1 hot choc 100kcal

Total 1450 so 50kcal over.

Will try to be 50 under tomorrow, hopefully I'll be feeling better too. I'd prefer to clock up a fair few spare calories to use on Friday / Saturday/ Sunday as that worked well for me last week

toasterstrudle · 20/01/2020 20:33

Haha @WellErrr I just came on to post that after my weigh in success this morning I've just had 4 bloody biscuits so that's a bit of a set back! Oh well onwards and upwards! At least I enjoyed them and ate them semi mindfully so that's a slight step forward. Definitely will teach me not to have them in the house though! Tomorrow's a new day 🤦‍♀️

toasterstrudle · 20/01/2020 20:36

Also @Suzie2021 well done! @WellErrr that's shit of your friends, I once heard the mantra 'it takes 4 weeks to feel it, 8 weeks to see it and 12 weeks to hear it' in relation to diet/training so I try and remember it when I get disheartened. Good luck for the exam too!

Welcome @squaresandsquares

squaresandsquares · 20/01/2020 21:50

I am on 1400 kcals on my fitness pal.
Tracking since 13th but haven't lost. Had fish n chips today so went a bit over.
Running Wednesday mornings around 8km.

Heygirlheyboy · 20/01/2020 21:58

Well done suzie !! Just starting is actually a relief compared to how you were feeling, I know exactly.

Wellerr the fecker, I would absolutely be feeling disheartened after that but it's a crappy thing tp say and only reflects on her! Keep it up, 9 lbs is amazing. Toaster love that and will remember it into week 4. I'm just home for an.hour long walk so am under but am just going to go to bed now. Sweet potato and.feta frittata plus lovely salad prepped for lunch and overnight oats for breakfast so looking forward to another good day. Highly recommended the ratatouille with halloumi, absolutely gorgeous today.

Suzie2021 · 20/01/2020 22:13

@WellErrr that’s really insensitive of your friend! Don’t bother what they say just see how your clothes will fit looser. Good luck with exam tomorrow x

Suzie2021 · 20/01/2020 22:15

@ DontFundHate have you tried sleeping fennel seeds in warm water and drinking for period pain? It works for me

Suzie2021 · 20/01/2020 22:16

*seeping

everycowandagain · 21/01/2020 06:34

I stayed the same this morning which is frustrating but I am definitely down a bit of body fat so I can see changes even if not on the scale.

I am going to stick with it, it will drop eventually if I keep going. I am down about 3 pounds since 3 Jan so that is good steady progress.

Off to the gym now for a pre work weights session and then need to have a sensible food day because i am going to a friend's for dinner.

Have a good day everyone!

TheHoundsofLove · 21/01/2020 06:40

Well I do think that losing weight can bring out the jealous streak in others. Which is a real shame. Ignore her! I also bet that you can tell a difference - 9lbs is a lot when you're already quite slim.

TheHoundsofLove · 21/01/2020 06:42

everycow That's good progress and seeing it on the tape measure is the most important thing!

WellErrr · 21/01/2020 06:53

Well I can tell the difference and I’m my harsher critic 😂
However - I’m somehow up a fucking POUND this morning!! 2 slices of toast and a yogurt and a fucking POUND! 😂

Must be some kind of fluid/scales anomaly..!

Keep going everycow, it’ll work!

What a mean spirited thing for your friend to say @WellErr! I would not be impressed.

Welcome @squaresandsquares and good to hear you're feeling better @Suzie567 :)

According to my scales I'm down a 1/2, it's a slightly new low so I'm going to take it and assume the scales in my gym we're lying to me Envy

I had a good day yesterday:
B: skimmed milk coffee, prune juice, two eggs ~354
L: tomato soup and two small slices of brown soda bread ~386
D: one measured cup of rice, half a naan and turkey curry. All homemade apart from the Tesco naan ~724

Two gym classes ~ 538

That left me with 274 which is good. Another gym class today 💪🏻

Wineloffa · 21/01/2020 07:29

Morning!

I am 9 stone!!!!! My target!! Yippeee!!! So pleased!

I think I’ll keep going to 8st 10 now although I fully expect this birthday weekend to derail things slightly.

Thanks for all the support and motivation on this thread. It’s been a big help x

MyuMe · 21/01/2020 07:43

Time to leave the thread.

I haven't even weighed yet. Don't think I've lost anything.

Patchworksack · 21/01/2020 07:46

Why are you leaving Myume? Plenty of us still with a way to go!

Patchworksack · 21/01/2020 07:47

Congratulations wineloffa

Octopus37 · 21/01/2020 08:02

Congratulations Wineloffa, that's fab. Myume don't leave, lots of us are in the same boat, slowly but surely can mean a stone in 3 months, that's what I'm sticking to. I actually weighed in at 9st 7.5 this morning which I was really pleased about. Absolutely struggled yesterday, wanted to eat and eat and eat, was at home with my poorly Son and had lots on my mind re work and money, plus PMT, was a struggle. I still have quite a way to go at least 9 pounds but hoping to be there by late Spring, say May

WellErrr · 21/01/2020 08:07

I thought so too Twixes, glad it’s not just me!
Well done on your loss!!

Congratulations on reaching your target Wineloffa! And good luck on reaching the new one!

Heygirlheyboy · 21/01/2020 08:10

Wow wineloffa that must be sweet! Well done. Well done on resisting octopus, ,it's a big habit to break.

joggingon · 21/01/2020 08:38

Balls. Stinking cold feel like crap, so went out for a stonking hot curry last night and drank alcohol. Still feel awful so can't get to the gym today but back on track with food :(
