I’ve been living off Brie and chocolate since December began and I’ve put weight on. Currently 9st4lbs and I want to be 8st10lbs.
Anyone with me!?

Going to try calorie counting but open to suggestions. I currently eat far to much crap which is the root of the problem.

octopus37 apologies only see your reply now. I wonder if you teamed the protein and carbs at lunch with some salad? I doubled my prptein and more than doubled salad in my wrap, still ok calorie wise and it was so much more satisfying. Just a thought. I'm on 1347 cals daily and it just seems a lot more than your list. Hope I'm not making a mistake when logging. Really like the lose it app by the way. Good luck with the weigh in the morning everyone!!

Patchworksack · 19/01/2020 22:22

L chicken soup, roll, apple
D roast squash, pepper and chicken with greens. Greek yoghurt.
2 squares dark chocolate.

Good luck for tomorrow everyone.

puds11 · 20/01/2020 06:41

Hello, can I join please? I’m currently 10.7 and am aiming for 10st. I’m using My Fitness Pal. I’m horribly tired due to 6 month old baby so am finding it difficult to make good choices but am determined this week will be better than last!

MyuMe · 20/01/2020 06:44

I'm not going to weigh until I'm sure I've lost something

Suzie2021 · 20/01/2020 07:06

Ladies I really feel down and depressed. I can’t diet and I’ve been non stop stuffing my face all weekend to the point I was actually sick. I can’t log into my account so just created a new one,

I’m suzie, I don’t remember my previous user name but I tried to diet with you guys last week with calorie counting. You were all lovely and gave me tips and links to emotional eating

I feel so hopeless and down. I’m never going to lose weight. Sorry for the negativity first thing in morning

Heygirlheyboy · 20/01/2020 07:14

Suzie you sound like me a few weekd ago. It's actually quite a frightening place to be. Can you try just for today to plan three nice meals and have fruit/nuts/hummus ready as a snack so you don't tip.into too hungry? Forget losing weight just kick the crap for today.

WellErrr · 20/01/2020 07:14

Well done Hounds that’s amazing!!!!

I’ve just weighed in. Half a pound off do 8st10lbs.5lbs now. Every little helps!!

Suzie I’m so sorry you’re feeling down :(
Are you thinking of trying to start again? Can you think of different ways to treat yourself instead of food? A nice bath, watching a film, ordering a £5 treat online?
Emotional eating is so hard to overcome but you can totally do it! Flowers

I'm also sorry that you're feeling so fed up Suzie . I do think that losing weight takes up a lot of mental energy and if you have other things going on in your life, maybe you need to be a bit kinder to yourself? Instead of giving yourself a strict calorie allowance, could you just aim at first to give up snacking or to make your meals healthier? Or would trying some intermittent fasting perhaps work? You definitely can lose weight, you just need to find what works for you and try to start changing your habits. Start again today and take it one day at a time.

Suzie2021 · 20/01/2020 07:23

Thank you heygirl and wellerr. I’ll try to plan 3 healthy meals today. I have no willpower.

TheHoundsofLove · 20/01/2020 07:24

Well You're definitely going to hit your 8st7 target - you're doing brilliantly!

Suzie2021 · 20/01/2020 07:24

Thanks hounds of love I’ll try that today. Maybe if I give myself a rule if no eating past 6pm that might work

Octopus37 · 20/01/2020 07:24

Suzie, sorry you're feeling down, its horrible when you feel like you cant stop eating. Try and do something nice for yourself today if you can. Take care.

Well done WellErr, I am in awe of you, you weight about what I want to weigh ideally.9st8.75 for me today, onwards and downwards.

Suzie2021 · 20/01/2020 07:27

DontFundHate · 20/01/2020 07:29

Sorry you're feeling so down Suzie, have you been to see your GP? It sounds like you need a lot of support, things can and will get better but I think you might need some RL support as well as from us all here Flowers

DontFundHate · 20/01/2020 07:32

Well done everyone so far! It's lovely hearing about all your losses!

I've lost 3lb today im so pleased! That's a total loss of 6lb since the start of January. And my waist is finally at 80cm! Down 6cm since January. 80cm or more means you are at risk of health conditions according to the guidance from NHS so im motivated to keep loosing weight and cm to be well away from this soon Smile

DontFundHate · 20/01/2020 07:33

However AF arrived yesterday and despite my positive post about it yesterday I've woken up in a lot of pain and want to eat lots! Any tips please! Grin

Suzie2021 · 20/01/2020 07:35

Thanks don’t give - I am having counselling for issues going on but I don’t think it’s helping I just need to be stricter with myself! And not be so greedy.

Wellerr - that’s amazing well done! I was exactly 8stones 7lb on my wedding day! I was so tiny I’d love to be that again but for now I’ll be happy just loosing something. I have 2 suitcases of clothes I can’t even put in let alone zip up lol!

Right weighed myself I’m now 10 stones 3lb. Goal is 8 stones 7lb.

Wineloffa · 20/01/2020 07:37

Morning! I’m still 9st 1!!! I just knew I wouldn’t be 9. I had a heavy cold last week so missed out on exercising and a crap period to boot so it wasn’t good. The good news is I only need to lose half a pound to get to 9 so I’m pretty sure I’ll get there by Friday (my birthday!).

Well done WellErrrr, you are doing brilliantly! Good luck to everyone else for your weigh ins x

Patchworksack · 20/01/2020 07:44

Well done wellErr, hounds and octopus!

You can do this suzie it's just finding what works for you. Try to be kinder to yourself, think about choosing foods that nourish your body. You can eat lots of salad or vegetables with your meals which fill you up and give you lots of vitamins and fibre without lots of calories. I went to Iceland and bought a load of Steamfresh pouches - if you just added one to your lunch and dinner and reduced what else is on your plate you'd soon see a difference. I struggle with eating rubbish in the evenings and a curfew based on 16:8 has worked for me (not eating after 8pm) but the alternative is planning some healthy snacks for that time of day. Don't beat yourself up, today is a new day. Read the thread - lots of falling off the wagon for various reasons - you just need to get back on track and not see it as a disaster.

toasterstrudle · 20/01/2020 07:51

Sorry to hear that @Suzie2021 it is really tough! I agree with Patchwork, I add loads of frozen veg to my plate to help. It's really hard at times though, I often just go upstairs at half 7 and have a bath or something to distract myself!

Things that help me in the evening are 10 calorie jellies, dark chocolate (90%) or sticks of celery sprinkled with salt.

Drink as much water as you can, dont worry as much about going to the gym but be active through the day - I'm aiming for 10k steps a day minimum although also trying to get to the gym 3/4 times a week.

I also have lots of lovely clothes that dont fit me so I try them on most days to see if I'm getting any closer!

If you're someone who sticks to a diet better than calorie counting then Chloe Madeley's Fat Loss Blitz (not bothering with the exercise) is good, or the principles in Michael Moseley's blood sugar diet (although I'd up the calories a bit personally)

toasterstrudle · 20/01/2020 07:54

Well done @WellErrr and @TheHoundsofLove on the loss!! I'm down to 136lbs bang on - delighted!

Weight on 28/12 was 145.6lbs
Weight on 6/1 was 139.4lbs
Weight on 13/1 is 139.8lbs (was on my period)
Weight on 20/1 is 136lbs

I'm 31 for context btw, have two kids age 2.5 and 7 months - no more children for me so trying to get in best shape for life now!

toasterstrudle · 20/01/2020 08:02

Also well done @DontFundHate @Octopus37 and @Wineloffa sorry if I missed anyone else!
