Target: 2kgs per month off by Christmas (any method) - anyone?

Just for some moral support/egging on, anyone else joining me with a steady 2kg per month off until Christmas? By any method we like?!

I am going to start (this week) with generally trying to eat less cals a day, less carbs and also try Intermittent Fasting a couple of times a week. Not going mad with crazy diets, and not going to break my neck doing it but also just trying to eat less/move more, and lose a couple of dress sizes over the next few months.

Would anyone like to join me? :)

Thanks! I've been and got the healthiest most delicious foods I could fine for a birthday tea. Might have slipped a bottle of fizz in there but it is a celebration after all.

Tomorrow is another day and with some moral support from you I know I can pick up the pace next week. X

SallyLovesCheese · 30/08/2019 14:08

Can I join? The thought of being a stone lighter by Christmas sounds amazing! I'm currently doing WW but have 0 willpower so haven't even lost a stone since January. I need a big kick up the bum!!

2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin · 30/08/2019 16:24

Welcome aboard Sally.
I'm reading all these weightloss success stories while sitting with a family sized bag of cheese crips and a gin. Next week, next week. Grin

I think I may start intermittent fasting this week. Maybe Monday. Monday sounds like the right day for that sort of thing.

Can I join too please!!
Currently still on holiday but planning to knuckle down in September!!
Would love 10-14lb off by Christmas.
I need you lot to answer to.

beela · 30/08/2019 19:15

Oooh yeah, 61.6kg, down from 62kg this time last week. I'll take that, there has been more chocolate than there should have been Blush

DC are back to school next week so I'm going to be properly on it.

K1ngmarbs · 30/08/2019 21:20

Hi Ladies, hope I’m not too late to join you. I really want to get at least a stone off by Christmas as go on holiday New Years Day 😊

DakotaFanny · 31/08/2019 09:32

Hello, I’m back, a little earlier than intended because I just couldn’t keep kidding myself that I felt okay being a huge pig!

Started Wednesday, weighing in at 186lbs, struggling to tie shoelaces, feeling a bit breathless, looking hideous in all our holiday photos etc etc. Gah!

Let’s do this!

2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin · 31/08/2019 10:30

Hello Dakota and welcome aboard to all of us!

I'm trying to be good today.

B: omlette wrap
L: Greek Salad
D: More greek salad

No chocolate/crips.

I ate 50 WW points today Confused I just can't stick with 28. We did do a walk for about 45 minutes but I'm so annoyed with myself.

Must get out and do my next C25k session. I'm only on week 3 but have taken a 2-week hiatus already! Back to work on Monday so hopefully I'll get into a routine again. The summer holidays are so bad for me!

SallyLovesCheese · 31/08/2019 21:51

Ooh, meant to say well done to 2Slices, good day!

KTD27 · 01/09/2019 08:29

@SallyLovesCheese I’m doing ww too. The last week has crippled me. I put in yesterday’s food (and wine) and it was 30 something so I am in total rage denial about it. Sober September for me and husband though so that will help some. Can’t wait for Monday and the return of a routine it will help so so much! Meal planning today. No idea what to make this week but I’ll get there

2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin · 01/09/2019 10:38

I've just done some shopping for some fairly healthy meals, and got some low cal soups for the intermittent fasting days.

VERY depressing morning as I decided to sort out my work trouser cupboard and there is a whole pile of trousers now which are "keep in a pile until I'm a stone lighter" - they all used to fit.

I also weighed myself and am right back where I started at 75.4 kg.

We have to do this! Looking forward to a new start this week and a good weigh in on Friday.

Targeting: 73.5kg on Friday's weigh in, and two intermittent fasting days this week (Maybe Mon & Weds).

Could I join in too please, aiming for 2lb loss a week, have about 35-40 to lose in total (not necessarily all by Xmas, I'm realistic that I will have good and bad days/weeks) but as much as possible.

2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin · 02/09/2019 14:00

Welcome Monkeys!
I was going to do some IF today and had green tea when I woke up but it made me sick (?!) so I had to have 2 slices of toast.

B: 2 slices toast
L: lentil soup & a salad
S: small piece of chocolate
D: 2 slices of beans/toast & 2 fried eggs, couple of slices of cheese.

Not too bad overall, I think around 1,200.

I’m doing ok - ish - back on track though I did nibble at the kids cookie at lunch. Haven’t gone over my WW points or calories so ok though feel guilty.
Breakfast - toast and fruit
Lunch - baked potato ratatouille and salad
Dinner - tomato pork with carrot and swede mash.

Curious - what does everyone eat on their IF Days? Was thinking I might try fit one or two in a week once big little is back at pre school

2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin · 02/09/2019 14:48

Sounds like a good day KT

This is what I had planned to have today:-

11am: banana (100)
1pm: Slimasoup (50), celery sticks (free?), homous (100?)
3pm: apple/peanut butter (100)
6pm: roasted veg/aubergine (150?)

= 500 (ish)

But it went pear shaped. Maybe tomorrow!

I had a nutrition shake for breakfast (it's a prescription one left over from when I had problems with my gallbladder and pancreas but the dietician said it's basically the same as complan/weight watchers type shakes and to just use the excess packets up for meal replacement /supplement, if I want to as the pharmacy's can't take them back), I've also had a yoghurt, a tiny packet of haribo(!), rice crackers, tuna in lime and black pepper dressing on Ryvita. Sausages with lots vegetables planned for dinner.

MonkeysaurusRex · 02/09/2019 14:58

Sorry, really silly question, but what is an IF day??

2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin · 02/09/2019 15:02

Intermittent Fasting Monkeys!
so a day where you try to have around 500 calories - if you can try to do this for 2 days and eat normally for 5 days in a week.

I've reported. Just to save you the bother😊

DakotaFanny · 02/09/2019 19:45

Well done all- I started a new job today and spent this evening ‘meal prepping’ for the week’s lunches. I’m attaching a picture because it’s such a Thing of beauty and, to be honest, these good intentions probably won’t last!!! 😂😂😂

Target: 2kgs per month off by Christmas (any method) - anyone?
2SlicesOfLimeInThatGin · 03/09/2019 03:03

Wahhhhh that's amazing! It looks so fresh!

I'm all set for a 500 day! Would anyone like to join me in this torturous day?

Weight: 74.8kg.

There had better be at least half a kg off that tomorrow. Grin

It is not going great. Over the weekedn I went away with the family and my mother bought tons of good stuff and I didn't have any self control. I also got takeaway 3 times last week! Like, wtf? I'll be back on track this week. I absolutely hate runnign but I downloaded c25k and plan on suing that tonight. I recently had a knee injury and cannot do any contact sports so hopefully runnig will be ok.

I know I need to be without candy anc choco for 2 weeks and then I don't want anymore. But its just so hard. I have this pipcorn maker that uses no fat no sault to make popcorn so bought some seeds to make snack. Sitting at the computer at work for 8h really makes you want to snack.
