Hi all, made a new thread as the last one filled up so quickly and I'm still bloody massive!Grin

Rules are: be kind, no judging, have a sense of humour, weigh on Wednesday mornings... and no training with Amanda Grin

@YouBoggleMyMind @recklessgran @MrsMummyBx @emilyjeff and others! Here's a brand new spanking thread.

New starting weight: 14st exactly.

I am going on holiday to Dorset on Friday for a week with DS and DH and when I get back I'm going to try really hard to stick to some aspect of losing some weight. We are trying for baby no2 and my period has gone missing again (pcos) so suspect we'll be in for the long haul again which I'm genuinely unsure I can cope with now, it was hard enough the first time and I'm not even sure we get any help if needed for a second baby. I get it, NHS struggling etc and god knows DS has cost the NHS thousands but still.

Sorry, total wallow fest tonight. Bah.

TinselAndKnickers · 10/06/2019 23:39

Don't feel guilty for being a SAHM! Your DS is developing wonderfully and you play the biggest part in all of that so it's a great job to be doing Smile
Ahhh the bloody interview bastards - happened to me a couple of times and whilst it's annoying you've just got to remember that they're obviously shit and you've dodged a bullet! I'm sure you did absolutely brilliantly and to be head hunted speaks volumes. Tell you what my lovely BoggleBum, enjoy your week away. Notice everything that makes you happy and try and get out of your own head! Sorry to hear about your pcos and struggling, wish you all the best for TTC and we will be here all the way Smile wallow tonight then tomorrow fresh face! I'm here to kick your ass (gently!) and offer support, as are the rest of the team. You are doing amazingly Thanks

@YouBoggle I'm so sorry things aren't going well for you at the moment. I've missed you and been wondering if you're O.K. Hope you enjoy your break - try to relax and we can all get back on the wagon next week. @TinselAndKnickers good luck with your last exam tomorrow and well done for keeping on the straight and narrow these last few days.@MrsMummy hope you're O.K. and resting as much as you can. @emily I'm in awe of you and your exercise - going to give it a go myself when I get back from sunbed city! I blew it all with a McDonalds this evening. Just finished packing and off to bed now as up at 3.30am for 8.00am flight from Brum. See you all next week!

TinselAndKnickers · 11/06/2019 00:28

Can I join? I have been lurking for a couple weeks reading your updates but didn't have an account, and decided to join so I could comment too.

@TinselAndKnickers 1lb is awesome! And with all the exams that's really impressive.

@YouBoggleMyMind its annoyingly common practice these days for employers to just not get back to people. You could send a follow up emailing asking about their status but in general I wouldn't expect to hear. It's annoying and rude but not personal and definitely not about you personally.

I have PCOS and am trying for baby #1. Saw the specialist in December and he told me to lose 15kg and come back in July. So I see him next month. I have lost 14.1kg so far this year so hopeful I will make the goal. Motivation is so difficult. The constantly asking myself do I really want this? Does this help me towards my goal? Is helpful but exhausting.

I weighed in last Wednesday so will post an update tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

YouBoggleMyMind · 11/06/2019 17:22

Welcome @MoonNoodles and fellow PCOSer 👋🏻 any questions, lemme know, been through a lot due to bloody PCOS!!

No, I know it isn't personal, it's just rude, especially for an international search firm. I did chase asking what was going on and heard nothing so 🤷🏻‍♀️ arseholes.

MoonNoodles · 12/06/2019 09:27

@YouBoggleMyMind Thanks! ouch yeah they sound like jerks.

I am down 1 pound from last Wednesday. Which is good. It's a marathon. Going to have to be really mindful today of food. I am ahead at work but have to sit here all day anyway and I know I have a huge problem with bored snacking. Plus I had coffee and a brownie for breakfast as I forgot to buy more cereal yesterday, which is not an ideal way to start the day. Well health wise anyway. It is absolutely delicious. Grin

YouBoggleMyMind · 12/06/2019 09:32

Good job @MoonNoodles 1lb down is great. Not been on the scales in a while so I'm sure I should face the music shortly... see what the damage is Blush

emilyjeff · 12/06/2019 12:42

Hi ladies, just catching up on the chat as not been on for a few days
Welcome moonnoodles, nice to meet you
Well done tinsel on the 1lb loss :)
Sending hugs Boggle I am applying for jobs at the moment and its shocking how few get back to you. When you've made an effort to go for an interview tho you would at least expect them to let you know! I have a phone interview tomorrow afternoon but not entirely sure I want the jo anyway Confused
My eating has been ok-ish the last few days. Have just eaten a whole bag of chocolate raisins tho!! Feeling really hungry today for some reason. Anyway forgot to weigh in this morning as I overslept and was running around like a loon so will do tomorrow morning instead.

YouBoggleMyMind · 13/06/2019 20:28

As promised, my bed frame bruise! 😫

emilyjeff · 13/06/2019 21:41

I've put 2 lbs back on....so 10st 13 exactly what I was when I started :((
Away up north this weekend for friends birthday but after that I'm hitting it hard! And I mean it this time!!
Hope everyone else is good x

MrsMummyBx · 14/06/2019 09:06

Hello ladies sorry I’ve been offline for a few days, lots going on at home.

@recklessgran hope you’re having a lovely holiday - you SO deserve a break and a bit of relaxation

@YouBoggleMyMind hope you are feeling a bit better? Poor you, it sounds like you’ve been in the wars. Keep going on the job front and definitely any rejections are not personal, just keep applying. With your PCOS, no doubt you have, but have you tried ovulation sticks? I was told I had PCOS and my cycle last year was completely haywire - period in November, next one in February. But the ovulation sticks were a really helpful way of getting on top of things and they worked for me...

@TinselAndKnickers well done on your weight loss!!!

@emilyjeff how did the interview go yesterday?

@MoonNoodles welcome!!!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend ladies. Hosting a birthday party for DS1 this weekend, so need to get cracking on the prep for that!xx

MoonNoodles · 17/06/2019 14:24

Thanks for the welcomes everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend.

Wow @YouBoggleMyMind that bruise looks awful. I hope it is improving now. When we got a new bed frame I wasnt used to having a tall footboard and must have run into it like 30 times the first month. I kept forgetting at night when I got up to pee. Confused

I managed to make healthy lunches yesterday for this week yesterday evening. Appropriate portion sizes and well balanced. Then forgot to bring with me. So lunch has become 2 croissants and a banana. Which could be worse but ugh for forgetting! Was so proud of myself too.

emilyjeff · 17/06/2019 15:00

Hi ladies just a quick catch up as I'm at work.
Had a fab weekend away with friends, feeling tired today though. Eating has been good today so far but my worst snack times are before dinner and later on in the evening so I'll see how I go.
MummyB it was just a phone interview but I thought it went really well. Not heard anything back about progressing to the next stage tho so maybe it didn't go aswell as I thought!!

TinselAndKnickers · 18/06/2019 12:13

Hi everyone so sorry I've been MIA! Really busy and finding it hard to stay on track but I'm getting better Smile hope you're all doing good - will do a proper catch up soon!

Good Morning ladies

Had my Wednesday morning weigh in and I've lost 1.7 lbs which is pretty cool.

Went to the gym yesterday morning and worked out. Went to a kettlebells class this morning and was the only person there so I had one on one time with the instructor which was really motivating but I think she may have been trying to kill me!! And now I can't lift my arms and my everything is sore.

emilyjeff · 19/06/2019 11:15

Well done Moonnoodles !!
I decided not to weigh today as I fear I may have gained and actually be over 11 stone now and I know this will make me feel bad and lose motivation.
Ruined my healthy day on monday by eating a huge amount of snacks when I got home. Confided in DH how bad my snacking is and he was really helpful bless him and help me devised a plan.
Did really well yesterday despite being at home so fingers crossed I can keep it up. Planning on going for a run after work tonight, not been for a few weeks so need to get back into it x

recklessgran · 20/06/2019 10:28

Yippee everyone I'm back! First of all welcome @MoonNoodles lovely to have a new member to our little gang here -we're very nice even though I say so myself and all trying to support each other with our various issues which mostly get in the way of us losing weight! Hope all others are chipper and O.K.Will catch up properly later as must feed the washing machine and the cat.
Anyway I've had a great holiday, have gained weight [of course] but back with a plan and raring to go.
Weigh Day Wednesday 13st 8lbs [GROSS!]
That's a gain of 3lbs since I left last Tuesday.
Oh well - new plan below.
No bread except on Saturdays when I will buy a beautiful fresh baked loaf from the bakers and allow myself to indulge in toast and marmite for breakfast, lunch and dinner if I so wish. Otherwise a strict 12pm - 8pm eating window. I have been enjoying watermelon on holiday so I've bought one of those and prepped it ready to pick at in fridge. That is now my toast replacement if I really have to pick outside of my planned one meal a day. This will be protein and veg/salad only. Also I'm going to go for a walk every day - even if it's not far it will be an improvement on my current activity level. If this doesn't work I will blame the underactive thyroid for it. I've got everything crossed.

TinselAndKnickers · 21/06/2019 10:59

Welcome Noodles and well done on your loss! Emily I hope your interview went well and it goes well from now on! MrsMummyB how was the party?! So glad you had a nice time on holiday reckless and I hope Boggle is enjoying hers!

I've been really busy at work with 1500 people coming in every day this week, and got a huge cake order for this weekend! Been eating mostly crap and haven't weighed myself. Back on it for the millionth time next weekGrin maybe one of these days I'll stick to it!!

recklessgran · 21/06/2019 20:09

Evening all. I've been out to the pub with g/f, cheese salad baguette, J.D and coke. Usual slightly naughty Friday lunch. Chicken salad for dinner so not too bad I hope.I'm back to daily weighing as this is what keeps me on task. Pleased to see a pound off this morning but of course I do understand that weight fluctuates a lot! DD1 coming for the weekend tomorrow morning. DD3 coming for the day on Sunday. DD5 has left for 3 weeks in Canada this afternoon and DD2 and toddler DGD are currently in a teepee at Stonehenge for the soltice. [DD2 a bit "alternative" let's say!] DD4 will be here on Tuesday I think - she is currently on nights which is a bit stressful for her as she has responsibility for the whole hospital without much in the way of senior back up. All these DD visits are bad news for my diet as I buy in all the things they especially like whilst I'm mummying them. This means lots of temptation - I have just emptied 4 packs of jammie dodgers into the biscuit tin ready for DD1 for a start. I WILL RESIST.
Really hope you're having fun @YouBoggle - lovely weather too. @TinselAndKnickers you sound really busy so burning lots of calories yes? @emily don't feel bad about snacking - I'm the worst for that hence my bowl of prepped melon - would something like that work for you? @MrsMummy hope you are keeping well and resting as much as you can - not easy when you already have a little one I know. @Moonnoodles well done on your loss - keep doing whatever you're doing because it's obviously working. Hoping I'll soon find what actually works for me!

YouBoggleMyMind · 23/06/2019 10:54

Hi everyone, I'm back! And I'm fat!

Haven't got on the scales but will do tomorrow and see how bad the damage is. I know it won't be good though.

Holiday was good and I also found out that an interview I went for on the Thursday before we went on holiday went well and they offered me the job! All being well I should start on 1st July. Part time hours which fit in with everything with DS. MIL will have him 1 day and he'll go to nursery for the other 2 days. I am pleased but nervous, it'll be a big a change but hopefully a good one.

How was your holiday @recklessgran ?
How is everyone else doing? Shall we do a renewed boost to lose some lbs starting tomorrow??

recklessgran · 23/06/2019 11:36

@YouBoggle congratulations on your new job. That is brilliant news and change is always a good thing - saves life from getting boring - I'm really pleased for you especially after the earlier disappointment - see, that was for a reason. [I'm a bit of a fatalist.] Holiday was brilliant - beautiful hotel and weather was sunny all day long. I am now full of good intentions with the weight loss. I'm trying to be very strict except on Friday lunchtime [girlie lunch] and all day Saturday when I'm allowed bread! Hope this will work in the long term.

YouBoggleMyMind · 23/06/2019 14:52

Glad you had a good holiday @recklessgran and that you're feeling positive for some weight loss going forward. I have tracked today and we are having a roast for dinner. I plan to fill half my plate with veg and and only have a small bit of roast potato! I've also bought 0% thick Greek yogurt as a pudding so all good intentions here!
