Congratulations Boggle that's bloody brilliant news! Just the boost you needed Smile I'm going to try my absolute hardest in the coming weeks as I keep being slack with it! I need a kick up the arse Grinso glad you enjoyed your holiday reckless it sounds great.

I've got a job interview for placement on Tuesday so prepping for that and I've got everything crossed! Had a very boozy weekend for my best friends birthday so have to make up for thatBlush

I'm going to look at the scales tomorrow and I hope it'll scare me into being strict and not eating crap. We've bought good main meals this week and no booze, just need to not snack in the evening, though I think I've just about eaten all the snacks in the house now!

Welcome back reckless glad the holiday was good.
We had a lovely weekend, day out with friends Saturday and then meal at my mum and dad's yesterday for dad's birthday. Eating hasn't been great...mum's home cooking and all that! Back on it today though. Everyday I'm planning what meals and snacks I'm gonna have and then sticking to it as best I can. Any additional snacks have to be fruit or veg!
Also Hubby and Ds1 currently have a joint gym membership, DH found out yesterday it's only £20 extra per month to add me and DS2 aswell so think we gonna do that. I don't have a clue about weights etc but hopefully DH can help, plus it includes swimming so I'm gonna try and swim once a week too. Feeling determined!! x

I've fallen off the wagon again and I didn't even get back on it! For gods sake I'm truly awful Grin I can't cope with my fat lazy self! So glad you have been doing well Boggle and Emily joining the gym will be great. My membership has almost expired and I can't get there due to roadworks so I'll wait and see if I have to relocate for work before I join again.

Ahhh I will let you all know how it goes Blush

I also fell off the wagon and had a chip butty last night instead of dinner. No particular reason/problem. Just because I fancied it. Sigh. Back on the melon today. I've really got to get it together. Come on @Tinsel you can do this too and want to drop a dress size by September, remember. There's still plenty of time to do it!

I had a good week last week and went to the gym 6 times over 5 days (Tuesday to Saturday). On Saturday I went for a morning workout which is largely made up of stuff I have done in the past or seen on youtube/fitness videos. Then I found out that their aqua dance class had an opening in the afternoon so I snatched it and went to that. Have you ever tried to grapevine in water? Its surprisingly difficult. I went swimming yesterday. So I feel like in that way I am improving. Even if I don't entirely know what I am doing, and some of the days were swimming. Some exercise is better than nothing.

But I ate like crap at the weekend. Sunday literally every meal had chocolate in some way. Blush
last night's dinner was a magnum ice cream bar. Not on purpose. The DH was having one so brought me one. And then I was too busy/tired/not hungry to eat a proper dinner. So yeah need to get my eating back on track. I managed to avoid the donuts and cakes they had at work this morning but oh my gosh I would kill for some breadsticks right now. Hot soft breadsticks with marinara dipping sauce. nom nom nom.

You're so right reckless I do want to drop a dress size, so I do need to whip my ass into shape! MoonNoodles my dinner yesterday was a MagnumGrin going to have a fully tracked day today and try and ease myself back into it. I can be so good when I get going!

I totally sympathise with eating ice cream or chocolate for dinner! This is what usually happens to me, DH will say he's gonna be late home so I have a snack, then another one, then a chocolate bar and then I dont want dinner!
Went with DH to gym last night, ran 2 miles on the treadmill, which was bloody hard work, had a pathetic attempt at lifting some weights and then swam for 15 mins or so. Had lasagna for dinner tho Hmm
Anyway weigh in today was 10 st 12 so have lost a lb. Its a start!

Morning all!

I totally forgot to weigh in today. whoops. Will do it tomorrow morning and post. In my defense it was because I woke up late and was rushing to get to the gym for my morning circuit training class. It was super intense. She had us running on the bloody treadmills on manual so it doesn't move on its own, takes a bunch of effort to get it moving and if you stop it stops. the worst. I do not recommend manual treadmills ever.

I had a horrible but hopefully motivating moment when I had to strap a weight machine to my thigh and do fire hydrant leg lifts and the strap barely fit around my thigh. like there was only 2 cms of Velcro bit touching. So I was a bit mortified but am trying to remind myself that is why I am there and if I just keep going that it can only get better. But it was embarrassing. Especially as it was only me and one other person in the class. She was tiny and super fit and looked like she was having the time of her life while I was practically dying! But maybe someday that will be me who is super fit. Fingers crossed.

@TinselAndKnickers you can totally do it! Just take it one day at a time!

@Emily that is awesome! congrats on the lb! also the only way an attempt at lifting is pathetic is if you stared at the weights for a bit and then walked away without touching any. It doesn't matter how much you lift or for how long. Just picking them up and trying is better than not. That sounds like an awesome workout. You should be totally proud of yourself!

2 days of no booze and tracked eating and I'm 12st 5.8lbs so pretty pleased with that. Hopefully continue in this direction!

Weigh Day Wednesday!
Last week 13 st 8 lbs
Today 13st 6.5lbs
That's 1.5lbs off for me which all things considered I'm quite pleased with as I haven't really been sticking to my own rules very well. Determined to stay on the wagon - just need to get more active now. You lot make me very guilty as your exercise routines make me feel faint at the thought of some of the things you get up to. Well done all of you.

Weighed in this morning. lost 1lb since last Wednesday.

I should be happy about it but considering I have gone to the gym, or swam, or did a gym class 8 of the last 10 days I guess I kind of hoped it would be more. But then considering I haven't ate amazingly its just a reminder to myself of how important diet really is. Might need to make myself a food plan to keep me on track the next few days.

I know what you mean moonnoodles when I've had a good week I get on the scales expecting to see I've lost like 5lbs or something!! I think slow progress is good tho, I did once lose 5lbs in a week thru the Juice diet but totally unsustainable cos you go back to eating actual food and put it all back on again!
I'm so busy with work, kids, animals and preparing to go on holiday I've not been snacking hardly at all :)

@YouBoggle -snap! I'm also having chicken salad tonight. We all need to watch out as it's barbecue weather. We are going to a 40th birthday party for our Goddaughter on Sunday - 2 'til late so I'm guessing it'll be a running buffet/barbecue plus booze. Bad combo so will give myself a top of the range lecture before we go! Looking forward to it not least because we'll be catching up with some people we haven't seen for donkeys years.Hope I'm too busy chatting to eat much. Hope all doing well and enjoying the sunshine at last.

We have a wedding on Saturday, looking forward to it although the forecast is 30c so maybe a warm one! Been shopping tonight to find DH something to wear (he likes to leave it last minute lol) and had an impromptu dinner out. DH had burger and chips but I opted for salmon and rice which was really nice x

Well done to all the losers! Grin not weighed this week I'm too scared. Had a decent day today food wise and tomorrow will be even better. I'm working at the weekend and might go strawberry picking and to the pub on Saturday but not sure! Won't be drinking much - only 1.

Thanks @emilyjeff that's totally how I feel. I'm working really hard so I totally want to see the results showing.

I have a friends drinks in a bar (pub that doesn't serve food basically) this evening. I haven't seen in her in ages and she is a drinker. So will have to be aware of that. Tomorrow is a bbq. Sunday morning I have a gym class booked just to make sure I keep myself on track exercise wise and that I have an extra reason to be sensible on saturday. Definitely going to need to be careful this weekend food and drink wise though.

I'm kind of freaking out though because I return to the specialist on monday and he challenged me to lose 15kg in 6 months. When I weighed yesterday according to my scale I had lost exactly 15kgs. But its his scale that matters! I'm really nervous that it won't show. Or that he'll say I did good but not good enough and that will be
demoralising.
