@YouBoggleMyMind @recklessgran @MrsMummyBx @emilyjeff and others! Here's a brand new spanking thread.

@TinselAndKnickers that is amazing and I hope you are doing something to celebrate!

Thanks for all the kind words. Trying not to beat myself up over the weekends eating as it won't benefit me any. Have to move forward. DH pointed out I was on my feet almost the entire weekend with lots of standing and walking and carrying things.

I am back on track today. Its the last day off before I return to my normal day job so I did cardio at the gym this morning, the dishes, laundry is in. Getting stuff done. Keeping my food on track so far as well. Resisting the urge to step on the scale today. I will see the damage done tomorrow and then move forward.

YouBoggleMyMind · 16/07/2019 17:58

Congratulations @TinselAndKnickers you must be delighted!! Amazing!

emilyjeff · 16/07/2019 20:19

Well done tinsel great news :)
Moonnoodles convention sounds cool and its pretty much impossible to eat healthily at these kind of things. Lol at the lady eating nutella straight out the jar...thats the kind of thing DH does!
I've not been eating too bad today, have snacked but they've been healthy-ish. Also went for a short run first thing, household chores, then horse riding and poo picking. Hoping for maybe a small loss tomorrow x

recklessgran · 16/07/2019 21:16

Food for today.
A bag of mini cheddars and a slice of cheese.
A small crustless quiche with roast vegetables.
A mini Mars bar.
Numerous cups of tea and water to drink.
Not the best but I don't think too excessive.

emilyjeff · 17/07/2019 10:17

Just a quick one- 10st 11.5 so same as last week! Meh

MoonNoodles · 17/07/2019 16:35

Weighed in this morning. Same as last week. Which I am just so relieved is not a gain. Grin

Went to a super insane gym class this morning. Was really good but just intense. And eating really well today so feeling good about that. Back on track.

Though being back at work has made me way more stressed. I definitely think I need to get a new job one with a more balanced workload. Confused

recklessgran · 17/07/2019 21:54

Evening all, sorry I'm late to the party!
Last week 13st 8.25lbs
today 13st 5lbs
So it's 3.25lbs loss for me which I'm delighted about. Now I'm trying to work out whether that's due to the extra levo or the posting food daily on here. In any event I've probably just undone some of the good as I had plaice and chips for dinner by way of a little treat.
Well done on the maintains and let's all hope for a good week coming up. I've got a very dangerous weekend ahead with meals out and cake outings due to DD4 and DD5 being home. Will try to be good and am going to continue posting my food on here if you lot don't mind.

YouBoggleMyMind · 18/07/2019 10:46

Well done Reckless! What ever the reason for the loss, you should be happy 😃

I'm feeling sorry for myself, for lots of reasons. I must get my head back in the game.

recklessgran · 18/07/2019 11:32

Thanks @YouBoggle but I'm not getting ahead of myself and keep thinking it must be a fluke. I'm sorry you're not feeling good at the moment. Have a big hug from here!

MoonNoodles · 18/07/2019 14:31

that is amazing @recklessgran you should totally keep doing both. I like reading about your days its interesting to see what others are having and doing, plus its motivating to keep me on track too.

@YouBoggleMyMind you can have a hug from me too if you accept hugs. I hope that whatever is bothering you gets resolved and you are able to move forward.

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 18/07/2019 14:35

Hi all, mind if I join? I know I’m properly late to this particular party ! I need some long term accountability and to stick to this! Weighed in today at 10 st 11 (2 pounds off since last week). I’ve got a 10 month old little one and going back to work soon so need to sort myself out! Also want to try for another in the not tooooo distant future so want to be in top top health for that (I had gestational diabetes during my pregnancy so I want to be super careful before and throughout).

recklessgran · 18/07/2019 14:54

Oooh @MostlyAmbridge you're very welcome - better late than never !
Impressive loss - how are you doing it? I'll start the introductions by saying that I think I'm the granny of the group and have 5 adult DD's all left home[whom I utterly adore] and a long suffering DH who has spent far too many years living in a house full of women who are either pre-menstrual, menstrual or menopausal but has the best sense of humour ever. Anyway,.we're a very supportive little band all with our individual problems doing our best to lose some weight for various reasons, often failing but owning up to it here. I'm firmly on the wagon at the moment as want to drop a few pounds before my next holiday on 31st August. I'm actually tied on with a big f off rope - you can recognise me by the halo. Will catch up later - gotta do some work to keep the roof over our heads.

MostlyAmbridgeandcoffee · 19/07/2019 11:01

Thanks @recklessgran! Sounds like you’ve got a lovely supportive crew around you! I’ve got into a very positive headspace about it all but I foresee a bit of a blip weekend (hen weekend with lots of meals!) but not going to stress too much about it! :-) Trying more to see it as a longer term better choices thing which should pay off hopefully !

MoonNoodles · 19/07/2019 11:10

@MostlyAmbridgeandcoffeee I only joined in June. And everyone has been super lovely. I wouldn't worry about being late to the party, I think joining matters more. I also joined to have people to be accountable to and it has helped. Plus its really lovely to connect to others going through similar stuff to share both triumphs and frustrations.

As @recklessgran said we're a very supportive little band all with our individual problems doing our best to lose some weight for various reasons, often failing but owning up to it here. This is so so true. I had a bad weekend food wise at an event but am firmly back on the wagon now.

I started the year at 16 stone and am now down to 13 stone 4 lbs. I think I'm the biggest of the group though I don't think that matters too much. I have PCOS and my DH and I are trying for our first. Originally the NHS said my BMI was too high so I got it down and it is now at the top of the allowed range. I just started the early stages of fertility treatment at the beginning of this month but want to keep losing so I can have a healthier pregnancy when it does eventually come.

I hope everyone has a good weekend. For the first time in ages I actually have a quiet weekend with no birthdays or barbeques to worry about. It feels glorious.

emilyjeff · 19/07/2019 12:50

Hi ladies, and welcome MostlyAmbridge
Reckless thats a great loss in a week, well done! Hope it continues!!
I've been pretty good food wise although its the evening snacking I really need to get a grip on at the moment. Have been out for a run twice this week tho and making the effort to take the dogs on a proper walk after dinner rather than just a quick down the road and back.
We have friends coming round tomorrow night for a takeaway. I'm planning on a chicken kebab with salad and no chips, so not too awful! Then meeting up with other friends on sunday for a walk and sunday roast.
Have a good weekend everyone x

recklessgran · 19/07/2019 22:36

Evening all. It's Friday and my day off so usual pub lunch - cheese salad baguette and J.D. and coke with g/f. DD4 and DD5 are home tonight so we went to Zizzi's for dinner, still lemonade, chicken and mushroom pasta and melting middle chocolate pudding. Pretty calorific day then. Must do better tomorrow but cake at swanky garden centre is on the cards and DH wants to go to the Beefeater tomorrow night. Not sure how strong willed I can be about this but inevitably eating out is involved when DD's are home as DH thinks I've spent enough time cooking for the little darlings over the years! Bless him. Hope everyone has a good weekend. Catch up tomorrow.

emilyjeff · 22/07/2019 10:18

Morning ladies, hope everyone had a nice weekend.
We did, my eating has been pretty bad tho :( Had kebab sat night but friends also brought gin, cake and sweets! Had nice country walk yesterday followed by sunday lunch where I ate three courses! Wsh I had more willpower. Back on the healthy stuff today though x

TinselAndKnickers · 22/07/2019 12:30

Hi everyone sorry MIA - broken up with my long term partner for good (it seems) and a bit upset! The good news is I've lost 2lb because of it Grin and will hopefully have an appetite reset.

Will read posts properly later - hope all is good

Oh @TinselAndKnickers I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm sending you a great big comforting hug and hope you've got some lovely kind people around you in real life.
I've been truly awful over the weekend and have eaten all sorts of naughties. I planned to have a fast day today and just graze on melon. But no. I've eaten 2 slices of 3 cheese bread - that stuff is carbohydrate crack I can tell you. Bought it for DD4 who is still here as she is a big cheese lover. Sigh....... It's going to be a gain for me this week I'm sure.

MoonNoodles · 22/07/2019 15:46

oh I'm really sorry to hear that @TinselAndKnickers I hope you are doing okay and have good support around you in person.

My weekend was meh food wise. I was pretty good except for saturday night when we went to the movies and I had some popcorn and crispy m&ms and we split a large sugar free sprite. So that was not ideal but it was a date night with the DH so I am giving myself a get out of guilt free pass.

Today's lunch was french fries. Just french fries so definitely still need to be more vigilant about stress eating at work.

On the fitness side, I went to the gym yesterday morning and brought my stuff with me to be able to go straight after work today so feeling pretty good about that.

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/07/2019 18:02

@TinselAndKnickers so sorry lovely 😥😥 silly question but are you ok? Here if you need to talk it out. Big hugs xxx

YouBoggleMyMind · 24/07/2019 08:24

Actually weighed in this morning after starting again on Sunday. Given myself 1580 calories a day (worked out through my fitness pal).
My weight is 12st 6.6lbs.

recklessgran · 24/07/2019 10:46

Morning all this weigh day Wednesday. Ashamed to report 2.25lbs gain. It's not as though I don't know the cause - one weekend of excess and bang goes all the previous hard work. It's not as if I can blame a cycle or anything like that - just pure food!
Last week; 13st 5lbs
Today; 13 st 7.25lbs
It's back to the one meal a day and posting all food and drink here. That seems to work for me. So determined to get to 13st before my next holiday.
Oh well, looking on the bright side I started at 14st 1lb so at least I haven't let myself go back that far. Frustrating isn't it? DD1 coming for the weekend [she has learning difficulties but manages to live in her bungalow with minimum help]. I'm going to teach her how to use a slow cooker although I'm not sure that this is the right weather for that! She comes one weekend a month and we tackle one little skill each time to add to her repertoire! Anyway, I digress!
Beautiful day here so getting on with some tidying, housework and laundry. Hope everyone is O.K. and trying to enjoy the sunshine.

TinselAndKnickers · 24/07/2019 12:43

Last week 14st 5lb

This week 13st 13lb

Silver lining and all that!

emilyjeff · 24/07/2019 14:41

Wow tinsel that is impressive! In all seriousness, sorry to hear your news and I hope you're doing ok.
I forgot to weigh in this morning as DS2 had his very first day in the world of work (I had to drop him off) and so my routine was all out of sync. I will weigh in tomorrow morning instead but I don't think its gonna be good :(
Reckless I am exactly the same I do okay-ish during the week but then the weekend just ruins it. I was hoping with the hot weather I wouldn't feel as hungry but that hasn't happened Confused
