Half a stone off in April (3kgs for the 'metrix')

Carrying on from the March thread (but all new joiners welcome), a fresh slate for April!

Please join me - all plans welcome (calorie counters, weight watchers, citizens of slimming world, intermittent fasters, eating-only-blue-food eaters). Here to support each other and aim to lose 7 pounds, or 3 kgs.

My starting weight for April is 65.1 pounds and getting to 62-ish or just under by the end of the month would be great.

Who is in?

Email sent. She has form for emailing around 9pm on two other occasions so maybe I will bear something

Waiting kills me. I want to eat all manner of crap. But I got my 20lbs loss award on Fitbit today... So I won't!

AdventureTravelDreamer · 25/04/2019 19:07

Well done Funky, sounds like you did well, fingers crossed it's good news Grin

Anyone want to hazard a guess at how many calories there are in a belvita biscuit? It was a variety that came in a pack of 4 and I think it had some strawberry bits in it. I ate 2! Other than that I have only eaten 850 calories and have already had dinner as I am about to go the gym in a few mins so I am fine calorie wise.

Why does counting calories get harder the closer to the weekend we get!!

FunkyBarnYardBroom · 25/04/2019 21:33

Nothing this evening. Hope I don't have to wait until after the weekend 🙄

FunkyBarnYardBroom · 26/04/2019 08:11

Well. Today is going to be long 😬 I shall try my best not to keep hitting refresh on my emails....

FunkyBarnYardBroom · 26/04/2019 08:19

Everytime an email comes in I very slowly pull down my notification bar and then disappointed at more spam 🙄

VivaFrida · 26/04/2019 10:14

Just quick checking in to send some ultra positive vibes to Funky!!!

sazzle27 · 26/04/2019 10:53

Woohoo well done Funky!!

Great news to see when I popped back in to check up on the thread! 🥳🥳🥳

sazzle27 · 26/04/2019 10:59

Weigh day today!

Quite a loss.. although pretty much all down to not eating much since Sunday. Finally gave in and saw a doctor and got some antibiotics... not because he thinks that I need them need them...just because I've been unwell for nigh on two weeks now and they may help. He was all a bit 🤷🏻‍♂️ over it..
Came away with a blood test and mini pill (not that it'll help anything on that score though!)

Anyhoos, I digress...

Start weight: 94.2kg
Current weight: 89.2kg
Total loss in March: 1.7kg

Total loss in April: 3.3kg

So... I've managed to hit the 3kg in April target! Thank goodness...
But in all honesty I am expecting a gain next weigh day as I hopefully get back into eating normally!

(Will there be a thread for May as well?)

cricketmum84 · 26/04/2019 13:01

Yaaaaayyyyyy @FunkyBarnYardBroom that's fantastic news!! Well done!! X

FunkyBarnYardBroom · 26/04/2019 13:32

GottaGetUp · 26/04/2019 14:49

Brilliant Funky, congrats! I hope the May thread works out as well for me as it has for you and cricketmum, as I’m hoping to have an interview on the 17th 😬

FunkyBarnYardBroom · 26/04/2019 15:27

@Gottagetup this thread has been good luck. You'll smash it 😁

sazzle27 · 26/04/2019 17:19

@VivaFrida brilliant - just got to try and find it in May now 😂

edwardson · 26/04/2019 18:20

Well done Funky!! That's great :)

Just a quick note to say that I seem to have hit my goal, but now a matter of keeping that off over the weekend so I'm cautious optimistic...

Start of April - 10 st 3
Today's weight - 9 st 8
Loss so far - 9 lbs :)

shoelace88 · 26/04/2019 20:23

Congrats Funky! That's super AWESOME!

Been MIA for a day or so but stayed on track with food and exercise! My kids had spring break this week, so it's been hectic. I just got back from the aquarium with my cousin and her 4 kids, between the 2 of us we had 7 kids under 10.

Breakfast: cereal
Lunch: salad
Dinner: TBD
workout: fitness blender

Hope everyone has a fabulous day!

cricketmum84 · 27/04/2019 09:30

@GottaGetUp yep this thread has been very good luck so far!! Keeping every thing crossed that you are Mays star of the month :)

Went over points last night, out for tea and the vegetarian options were absolutely dire. Ended up with a microwaved macaroni cheese that I'm pretty sure was out of a tin. Then out for a darts event and had 3 wines and 2 ciders so way over points.

Weigh in this morning and I'm 2lbs down so 8lbs down in total for April so far. Will be ultra strict now and weigh again on Tuesday to get my final result!

3 stone and 10lbs lost in total since Christmas!

OhTheRoses · 27/04/2019 10:20

Joining due to cricket's recommendation on another thread.

Joined ww two week's ago. It's very good. Discovered our scales were weighing 11lb light so much further to go than I thought.

Lost 3.5lb in the first week and retraining re portion size and understanding how fattening wine is. 31.5lb to go!

cricketmum84 · 27/04/2019 10:51

@OhTheRoses welcome :)

Wine is the devil unfortunately! I usually have a gin and slimline tonic instead but sometimes wine is needed!

Crazzzycat · 27/04/2019 11:26

I’ve not posted much on this thread as I didn’t want to depress others too much with my lack of progress 😂

Anyway, although I really struggled to stay motivated through three weeks of no weightloss, I stuck with the diet and exercise and...the scales finally started moving again this week!

I’m now 82.1, which is a loss of just under 1.5 kg/ 3lbs in April. It’s not what I expected at the start of the month, but it’s given me time to reassess my weightloss priorities. I’m still just under a stone overweight, but I feel fit and healthy, which is really the main thing that counts Smile

ScreamingLadySutch · 27/04/2019 12:05

I;m in.

I have a really weird thing though. I do really well, lose a jeans size, and then as soon as people comment...

I start eating again. It is now too much of a pattern to be coincidence. Does anyone have this 'I want to be invisible' reaction?

cardibach · 27/04/2019 12:46

Morning all! Can I join for May? Just started. Did the brave ‘face up to the weight’ step on the scales this morning. It’s horrible but 8 know it’ll be less next week. I’m calorie counting and increasing exercise - gym induction booked for next week. I think I’m in the right headspace but some support would be awesome!

shoelace88 · 27/04/2019 15:00

Good morning everyone!

Congratulations on the loss cricket! Sometimes wine and mac are just too irresistible.

Welcome Roses, and congrats on the loss too!

Crazy cat, I completely understand the love hate relationship with the scale. Have you thought about taking measurements? When my scale isn't budging, finding I lost a half inch somewhere gives me back my motivation.

Screaming, I know what you mean about the compliment thing. For me, it either gives me motivation to keep going or I get big headed. Thinking I've already "made it," I start relaxing too much.

Cardi, you'll find amazing support here and welcome!

I'm going to pick up my groceries here in a little bit. I'm not 100% sure what we're doing this weekend. I do know we have to replace some wood on our back patio and I'll be BBQing this afternoon. Besides that, I'm hoping for a low key weekend.

Breakfast: fruit
Lunch: salad
Dinner: hamburger and corn on the cob
Workout: fitness blender
