Hi everyone

I have a lot of weight to lose and really really struggling. Have been on so many diets I have lost count and never seem to be able to stick to anything. I have realised that today it is exactly 8 weeks until I go on holiday and I had really wanted to lose weight and feel better about myself before then and suddenly it's coming round so quickly so I'm hoping that will help motivate me. Is anyone else interested in challenging themselves to lose as much as they can in that time??

xx

Weighed in - 95.5kgs, so only a 0.6kg loss, but guess that's better than nothing. Will try harder this week. I've got fewer meals out planned for this week which should help. Good luck today everyone!

Well done 3littlerabbits!

Hello, can I join you for 7ish weeks?
6 weeks of dd chickenpox/ virus/holidays have left me just eating and not being very active. So today my weight is 11st6 and my target weight is 10st7. Its my birthday at the end of May and I'd love to give this present to myself!

FookMeFookYou · 01/04/2019 09:19

Put on 1lb but it's not my fault it was the hot cross buns and Mother's Day chocolates. Back on the horse today!

Tanaqui · 01/04/2019 10:38

I had cake and choc for mother’s day, but scales the same this morning- really want to lose a kilo by this Sunday, so trying to be very good this week. Have had blueberries, yoghurt and walnuts for breakfast and going to a spin class later. Am still 1.5lb down from starting weight which is good! (Must decide whether I am doing lb or kg!).

FookMeFookYou · 01/04/2019 11:35

Just done my first spin class in FOREVER... and I'm dying! Used to be a 4 classes a week attendee 😣

PhillipeFellope · 01/04/2019 11:42

Had Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and pomegranate with Greek yoghurt and a drizzle of honey for breakfast. Having salad with an egg and a bit of cottage cheese for dinner.

Happy Monday everyone!

bodgersmash · 01/04/2019 12:47

I'm weighing in today - gone from 10.5.8 down to 10.1.2. So about a 4lb loss in week one! Probably mostly water retention but I'm happy nonetheless Smile

I really needed this thread, thanks all.

Oysterbabe · 01/04/2019 15:06

Well done Bodger! Amazing.

3littlerabbits · 01/04/2019 15:36

Good work bodger!

PhillipeFellope · 01/04/2019 17:38

I weighed, 11,6 to 10,13. I'm pleased with the numbers but I can't see where it's come off at all. I feel better healthy wise but physically I very much look the same. I'm noticing I sleep better when I've not had the refined sugar too.

Well done bodger! that's awesome!

bodgersmash · 01/04/2019 17:59

Thanks all

@PhillipeFellope half a stone!BRILLIANT! You must be over the moon.

PhillipeFellope · 01/04/2019 18:51

Grin thanks bodger Im concerned it's the scales not working rather than an achievement on my part, I think it's mainly water weight too tbh.

About to get dressed and go off to the gym for some cardio.

How's everyone's Monday evening looking?

Tanaqui · 01/04/2019 20:14

Ive been to spin, so good on that front. But I have also had a piece of cake I didn’t need (but one of my pupils bought especially for me!). Well done Bodger and Phelippe!

Oysterbabe · 01/04/2019 20:47

Today has gone as planned. I'm going to peek at the scales in the morning and if I'm showing a gain (likely) I'll extend my fast tomorrow and may just do one meal Tuesday - Thursday depending on how bad it looks.

I've just bought a dress that I love in a 14. Imagine it will be too tight to wear currently as I'm an apple and all lard goes to my tummy but it'll give me something to aim for.

Oysterbabe · 02/04/2019 07:17

I'm showing a gain of 1.5lbs currently Hmm 3 days to turn that around so I'm on 1 meal a day until Friday. Black coffee and fizzy water at the ready.
I've just thrown together a Caribbean style pork and bean stew in the slow cooker so that'll be dinner with a spoonful of rice.

PhillipeFellope · 02/04/2019 09:26

That's so frustrating oyster are you holding onto water? Caribbean style pork sounds delicious!

Oysterbabe · 02/04/2019 09:34

No, cake I think.

Only 2 lbs off this week. I didn't try that hard though. It was so much easier when I was younger. I started IF yesterday. I tried it last year and it seemed to work (when I stick to it).

Treaclesweet · 02/04/2019 10:18

Mmm @oyster Carribbean pork sounds delicious, what's in that if you don't mind?

I'm doing ok I think? Weigh tomorrow, but nervous as the weekend wasn't super great.
Managing to stick to the IF mostly although if anyone has any tips for not murdering your husband in a hanger rage I'd be most grateful!

Oysterbabe · 02/04/2019 12:49

2lbs is great Housewife, no 'only' about it.

I find not talking to my husband on fast days helps. He does it too so we just sit there with faces like Angry

My carribean pork is a very much a chuck-things-at-random-into-the-slow-cooker type recipe. I think I put in:

Pork loins
Onion
Garlic
Tinned cannelini beans
Tinned tomatoes
Tomato puree
All spice
Nutmeg
Cumin
A veg stock cube
Splash of soy sauce

When I get home I'll shred the pork with a couple of forks, take out a portion for the kids then bung a load of chilli flakes in for us.

I work 3 days a week and on those days I need to get dinner on the table in under 15 minutes as the kids are starving and knackered after nursery so need to be fed, bathed and in bed as quick as possible. I often use the slow cooker on those days as I can stick it all in before I leave in the morning.

Treaclesweet · 02/04/2019 13:17

Ah lovely thank you, I'll add that to next weeks meal plan. I get a bit uninspired by my slowcooker even though I know it should be really helpful!

45 min to lunch time, can't wait. What's everyone having?

Krman · 02/04/2019 13:19

So today is my weigh in day and I've gone from 70.4 kg to 70kg. That's not even 1 pound!

I'm so frustrated, I appreciate that I probably could have done a bit better (I went over my calories on two days but was still well under 2000kcals). But I've calorie counted every day, I've done three long work outs this week (which I know is only three- but it's three more than normal!!).

Feeling a bit deflated!

Oysterbabe · 02/04/2019 19:08

Well done Krman, I'm of the view that anything down is good.

I had fresh air for lunch. Enjoyed dinner but it was quite a lot and I feel a bit sick now.

3littlerabbits · 02/04/2019 20:50

Down is good! You’re going in the right direction :)
