Hi everyone

I have a lot of weight to lose and really really struggling. Have been on so many diets I have lost count and never seem to be able to stick to anything. I have realised that today it is exactly 8 weeks until I go on holiday and I had really wanted to lose weight and feel better about myself before then and suddenly it's coming round so quickly so I'm hoping that will help motivate me. Is anyone else interested in challenging themselves to lose as much as they can in that time??

xx

Thanks @cherrysky. Great username btw. @gemi333 I have a hen do 9 weeks time so perhaps we can keep each other motivated.

Oysterbabe · 31/03/2019 09:54

I've added to the spreadsheet but do let me know if anything is wrong or if you're not on there and want to be.

Oysterbabe that's brilliant, well done.

I haven't set a goal weight. Is this what we would like to achieve in the eight weeks or what we want to lose in total?

Oysterbabe · 31/03/2019 10:11

Mine's in total but I might change it to my 8 week goal. Whatever you prefer.

cherrysky · 31/03/2019 10:21

Oysterbabe ok then I will do an eight week goal too. Could you add my goal of 10st please.

Once eight weeks is up we could all then set another eight week goal.

Krman · 31/03/2019 10:45

@Oysterbabe thank you so much!

Lost 1kg this week ... had a bad day yesterday - lots of prosecco, crisps and pizza 🙈

Paid for it this morning at my PT session
Back on the straight and narrow
Good luck everyone for the coming week - think lighter thoughts

Hi all, after 4 days I have a small loss to report: from 65.7 to 65.1kg. 600gr, which is 1.3 pounds.

Measured my weight today as I am going to be away from home on my usual WI day, which is Wednesday, so a little mental hurdle to go through, and also the challenge of going away from home and fend for healthy food when confronted by temptations all around.

But I feel determined and I can do this! We can all do this! GrinGrinGrin

Well done on your weight loss this week.

It's ok that you had a bad day yesterday, it's only a problem if every day is a bad day. Grin

I am so grateful that I didn't get any chocolates for Mother's Day, I had flowers and candles instead.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

You have done well, every pound counts.

Yes, we can all do this.

My weigh day is Tuesday. It should have been Monday but I ate all day so Tuesday will be my first weigh day. I will be happy with any loss.

VivaFrida · 31/03/2019 16:29

Thank you cherrysky and good luck for Tuesday!! 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Hello @gemi33 @oysterbabe and everyone else taking part, this is such a great idea. Bit late to the party but it's JUST what I need. I'm using probably more mental energy trying to lose weight than anything else in my life and just keep losing my focus - it would be so great to have some moral support. I'm 11'8 and my goal is 10st 7.

dancemom · 31/03/2019 18:29

Thanks @Oysterbabe for the spreadsheet

I overate today but it's Mother's Day so I'll take the hit!
Back on it tomorrow

#8weekchallenge

small2018 · 31/03/2019 19:36

Mother's Day also here! Start again tomorrow 😆

PhillipeFellope · 31/03/2019 20:07

I didn't do badly, salad for lunch, then a sort of chilli but not chilli with black beans and salad for tea. I had a glass of champagne and a small slice of carrot cake so I don't feel too hard done by.

Happy mothers day for all those "celebrating" it, big hugs for everyone, it can be such a raw day. Hope everyone is OK. Flowers Cake

Oysterbabe · 31/03/2019 20:13

A terrible weekend foodwise for me so I'll be on damage limitation before weigh in on Friday.

Mother's day is a bittersweet day for me. I have my 2 wonderful babies but it's the second one since my mum died suddenly, just a week after receiving a cancer diagnosis.

PhillipeFellope · 31/03/2019 20:20

Oyster I'm so sorry for your loss. Cancer is an absolute cunt, no other words for it. Flowers

small2018 · 31/03/2019 21:19

Sorry @Oysterbabe 💐

3littlerabbits · 31/03/2019 21:24

@oysterbabe Flowers also bittersweet for me.

Im on day 26 of no sweets, biscuits, cake and STILL no weight loss. I got Lindt for mother’s day and haven’t touched it. The struggle is real.

Well done to all for sticking with this. I am starting jogging tomorrow, and possibly eating less bread

Springyellow · 31/03/2019 22:42

Hello everyone , can I join the party late too? So frustrated I can't stick at anything and the scales keep going up and up !! I'm currently 84kg

cherrysky · 01/04/2019 07:53

Springyellow hello and welcome.

3littlerabbits · 01/04/2019 07:56

1kg Down! 76kg! Yay!

@Springyellow welcome!

bodgersmash · 01/04/2019 08:15

Bravo @3littlerabbitsStar

PhillipeFellope · 01/04/2019 08:43

Well done 3littlerabbits that's awesome!! I am yet to weigh in.

cherrysky · 01/04/2019 08:47

@3littlerabbits ⭐️ well done

Morning all

I didn't eat any chocolate yesterday, really over ate dinner though. I had two portions of homemade lasagne followed by two slices (large) of lemon cheesecake.

Why do I do this to myself. It is my first weigh in tomorrow and I know that I won't have lost any weight.

Maybe week two will be my week!

Have a good day everyone.
