Hi everyone

I have a lot of weight to lose and really really struggling. Have been on so many diets I have lost count and never seem to be able to stick to anything. I have realised that today it is exactly 8 weeks until I go on holiday and I had really wanted to lose weight and feel better about myself before then and suddenly it's coming round so quickly so I'm hoping that will help motivate me. Is anyone else interested in challenging themselves to lose as much as they can in that time??

xx

I have a headache despite drinking almost 2L of water today. I have had 500cal sushi for lunch and two oat milk coffees for breakfast. My Huel order has apparently been delivered while I was at work so can start with that tomorrow.
Pub quiz tonight but I have 600cal left to use so glass of red I think plus perhaps some carbs!

FrazzledCareerWoman · 15/04/2019 18:11

Oh and my weigh in this morning was 66.9 so not bad after 4 days eating nothing but pasta 🍝
(Recent low of 66)

VivaFrida · 15/04/2019 19:41

philippefellope don't be sad! It's the hormones. You know that. Bigger loss next week. It's a dead cert. keep on keeping on!!

VivaFrida · 15/04/2019 19:43

frazzled did you have cappuccino, etc in Italy? Maybe you have caffeine withdrawal headache as the Italian coffees are dynamite!! Best of luck for your new shakes regime!!

small2018 · 15/04/2019 21:12

Goodies day for me -

Coffee and fruit
Soup and hula hoops
Lamb stir fry with cauliflower rice
A bit of an Easter egg

bodgersmash · 16/04/2019 07:52

Morning all. I gained a pound this week, now back at 10st 2lbs.

Should have expected it, haven't eaten well at all, and have struggled to get back into the swing of things since last week's wedding.

No more junk food in the house, I'll be leaving my purse at home so I can't raid the chocolate drawer at work, and going to 2 meals a day plus 2 snacks.

Well done to everyone with losses and to anyone disappointed - let's keep on keeping on. If calorie deficits are maintained the weight has to come off sooner or later!

FrazzledCareerWoman · 16/04/2019 09:08

Exactly bodger Grin

Well last night I did have extra wines so definitely over 1200 cal for the day but I never go out so hey.

66.4 this morning and I am having breakfast as hungover and meeting someone for a breakfast but will stay healthy and have my Huel shake instead of dinner tonight.

PhillipeFellope · 16/04/2019 12:23

This is what I keep thinking, although dh reckons I was a bit too strict with myself last week and my body held onto all the fat. It's called prehistoric something or other. He's a PT so does know what he's on about usually 😂

Have increased my. Calories slightly to 1000-1200 and am going to up the nightly cardio to 45 minutes.

FrazzledCareerWoman · 16/04/2019 19:38

How are you not starving @PhillipeFellope Shock
My first attempt at 1200 yesterday and was very light headed!

PhillipeFellope · 16/04/2019 21:13

I think it's just sheer determination and grit at present FrazzledCareerWoman the lack of losing any weight has really annoyed me Grin

small2018 · 16/04/2019 21:23

Another goodish day -

Coffee and one slice of toast, raspberries

Soup and popchips, packet of southern fried chicken bites

Noodle soup, handful of grapes

More Easter egg

FrazzledCareerWoman · 16/04/2019 22:20

Well done @small2018

I did not have a good day. Hungover so poached eggs Benedict (no sauce Halo)

Then lunch I was in a rush and no salads left at work cafe so got a New Yorker ciabatta Confused

Dinner attempted the Huel shake.. I had to buy 28 "meals" worth as a min order,. Unfortunately it's really powdery but the taste isn't unpleasant it's like ready brek or something. I might try it for breakfast tomorrow and add a coffee shot into it, then skip lunch.

So I also had 2 slices of pizza and a beer Blush

Trying again tomorrow!

VivaFrida · 16/04/2019 22:38

In the plan I am following I have some weekly points for indulgences. In the past seven weeks since i started this plan I had not felt the need to use them but tonight I did - I had 72 grams of sugar free chocolate - maaaaan it was so good and I needed it! Going to bed a happy bunny.

small2018 · 17/04/2019 20:09

I had a day that started badly which messed me up.

A couple of those breakfast biscuits and a coffee

Starving at work and forgot my fruit at home ☹️. Had a chicken and salad wrap (homemade) with soup and a bag of crisps.

More crisps followed 😬. Then a bit of a mars bar. A sausage roll and monster munch when I got in from work.

Dinner was oven pizza and salad.

bodgersmash · 17/04/2019 21:05

Oh @small2018 - don't beat yourself up. Will you be back on the wagon tomorrow?

I also managed to have a Twirl and some Kettle Chips today but had pretty low calorie meals so came in ok overall.

How's everyone else been doing?

bodgersmash · 17/04/2019 22:08

@Oysterbabe @Gemi33 @deadparrot hope you guys are ok?! You've been quiet for a few days.... 👀

deadparrot · 17/04/2019 22:39

Hello bodger quiet but still here! Think I’ve finally hit my stride. I’m 5:2ing so just 500 cals twice a week and then other days 1280 which is what my MyNetDiary app budgeted for me, and am religiously entering every single thing. I like it as it calculates my nutrition too - hadn’t realised I wasn’t getting enough iron and protein.

On fast days my secret ingredient is 0% Greek yoghurt - half a 500g tub for just 160 cals and because it’s high protein it’s filling.

So great to see everyone doing so well, including slipping up then getting back in the saddle, that’s what it’s all about and it does make a difference so thanks guys Smile

FrazzledCareerWoman · 18/04/2019 06:47

Had a good day yesterday, found that mixing the Huel shake with a double espresso and cold water is quite nice, bit like a porridgy iced coffee. Had no breakfast and just that for lunch. Felt good, not hungry all afternoon and lots of energy!! Dinner was pasta and salad.

Broke to a new low weight this morning. 65.9!

Going to do the shake for lunch again today.

Oysterbabe · 19/04/2019 07:43

Morning! Sorry I've been absent, I've had a busy week. 1.2lb gain for me this week. I'm trying not to be disappointed but it is a bit frustrating, the scales have said exactly the same since Monday and I've been completely on track. I am on my period so maybe that's part of it and I was 5lbs down last week which is an abnormally huge loss.
I don't plan on being good over Easter and will just have to suck up next week's inevitable gain 😂 We have loads of family stuff on, BBQ and egg hunt tomorrow, out for lunch Sunday and a day out Monday. Nevermind!
What are you all up to?

PhillipeFellope · 20/04/2019 21:17

Hi everyone! I wrote a long post to everyone, closed my phone off briefly and lost it all and I can't face writing it again Grin so ill just hope everyone is having a lovely Easter weekend!

Im down to 10,5. Weighed myself this afternoon so I'm a stone off so far. Trying to still be quite strict with myself. Salad and chicken, no treats. Low carb and high protein, lots of veg. Fingers crossed it keeps coming off!

oyster my period really made a difference to me not losing any weight. Its all water retention I think.

We're having a BBQ tomorrow, Easter egg hunt for DS, He's only 2 and a half so will just be pleased to be collecting things and to have a kinder egg for breakfast Grin how beautiful had the weather been!!?

deadparrot · 21/04/2019 10:42

Happy easter everyone. I am sending this from a hotel near peppa pig world with buffet breakfasts etc. Got an awful feeling I’m going to end up back to where I started. I am restraining myself considerably but still having more than I would at home. Egg hunt shortly and while I’ve specified no egg for me this year, I will probably have some of the kids’. Steeling myself for tomorrow’s weigh in. I have a feeling I’m going to need more than 4 more weeks! Good luck everyone Smile

VivaFrida · 21/04/2019 11:51

Morning all! Happy Easter! I also have a loss to report! I now weigh 61.8 kg (was 65.7 at the start of the challenge) and I am 2.8 kg away from my end of challenge goal of 59kg. I am moderately optimistic to get to 59kg by May 22!

I am planning to have some Easter treats on moderation and have some mini sugar free eggs instead of the kids' super sugary ones. Fortunately I don't really like milk chocolate so the temptation is not huge.

I am also using these days off as an opportunity to do more exercise and do active things such as gardening and going on walks, together with my usual high intensity workouts. Fingers crossed it's all going to plan at the moment.

Wishing you all a great day ThanksThanksThanks

FrazzledCareerWoman · 21/04/2019 15:17

Well done @VivaFrida ! I was 65.2 on Friday morning which is a new low since having my son but now back to 66.4 (I am on my period so to be expected). Goal is also 58-60. I have weighed as little as 54 in the past but I think I look best at around 57-58 with a bit of muscle, need to get back into weight training.

VivaFrida · 21/04/2019 17:10

Thank you frazzled! And well done to you too! After the end of this challenge and (hopefully) 59kg I don't know what my ultimate goal is! At first I figured out 56 as that is the weight I have felt best in the past but I guess I'll keep eating this way and let my body adjust naturally to the most comfortable weight.

PhillipeFellope · 21/04/2019 17:18

Thought I'd just leave this here Grin

I'm not counting calories today although I've fasted until a short time ago. Had a burger and salad for tea, heavy on the port salut and coleslaw. Had a glass of fizz top, it's what Jesus would have wanted Grin

Well done Viva that's amazing! And Frazzled * awesome progress

Anyone interested in an 8 week challenge??
