Anyone interested in an 8 week challenge??

Hi everyone

I have a lot of weight to lose and really really struggling. Have been on so many diets I have lost count and never seem to be able to stick to anything. I have realised that today it is exactly 8 weeks until I go on holiday and I had really wanted to lose weight and feel better about myself before then and suddenly it's coming round so quickly so I'm hoping that will help motivate me. Is anyone else interested in challenging themselves to lose as much as they can in that time??

xx

Sounds lovely!

Weigh in for me in the morning and I think I'm on for a loss. I'm pleased considering the amount of crap I ate when I was away at the weekend but it has been a tough week. I've done 4 days of 1 meal a day. The first 2 were fine, the 3rd I felt a bit weak and miserable and the 4th was OK. I am looking forward to eating a bit more regularly over the next few days. It'll be worth it to see another loss, I've had 4 good losses in a row and I don't want to lose momentum.

Does anyone else find themselves surrounded by feeders? This week at work there have been constant biscuits, muffins and doughnuts. I've resisted all of them.

PhillipeFellope · 04/04/2019 20:47

I think I'm quite lucky there oyster as I'm the main culprit for being the feeder 🙈 😁

whothefuckhas5children · 04/04/2019 21:23

I’m afraid I’m the feeder here too!! Love being in the kitchen cooking and baking for everyone.

Oysterbabe · 05/04/2019 07:29

1.8lbs off this week. I'm pleased considering I was showing a gain on Tuesday.

whothefuckhas5children · 05/04/2019 07:57

Oyster well done! That’s great. Can you update me on the spreadsheet please? 66.3. Lost 0.2kg. Considering that I’d gained over 2kg (nearly 5lbsShock) over the weekend I’m doing ok. And while I nearly stayed the same I know that I look and feel better in my clothes.

I’m out twice over the weekend and I don’t want to make the same mistake as last week so will be mindful of what I’m eating.

bodgersmash · 05/04/2019 07:58

Wow @Oysterbabe 🙌🏻 you've really managed to turn it around.

Meal plan for today:

Breakfast: overnight oats
Lunch: feta and lentil salad again
Dinner: probably ham, egg and homemade chips. Will see what calories I've got left by the end of the day....

PhillipeFellope · 05/04/2019 08:04

That's brilliant oyster !! Well done!!

Oysterbabe · 05/04/2019 08:22

Well done whothe

Let me know if any data is wrong or missing. I try and update as we go but will probably miss stuff!

VivaFrida · 05/04/2019 10:23

Oyster you are awesome!! Could you give it open access so we can update without bothering you?

My latest weight is 63.9kg please. I have lost nearly 2kg since on the challenge. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

You all obviously bring very good luck! Thank you all!! Flowers

VivaFrida · 05/04/2019 10:24

I’m afraid I’m the feeder here too!! Love being in the kitchen cooking and baking for everyone.

Yep. Another feeder here!!

Oysterbabe · 05/04/2019 11:10

Well done Viva! That's loads :)

I tried to give open access before but couldn't figure out how. I think I've done it now though.

Oysterbabe · 05/04/2019 11:31

@Gemi33 I've just added you, thread founder, to the spreadsheet, sorry I missed you before. I didn't read back to the start when I made it. How are you doing? You still have plenty of time before your holiday to make a difference.

Treaclesweet · 05/04/2019 12:34

Well done everyone on your losses!
I had a terrible day yesterday, managed to stick to my fast but had a takeaway for tea so feeling a bit ashamed today. Going to stick to one meal today but I have a friend visiting so it's slow roast lamb for tea! Very hard to stick to diet and be a good host at the same time. I'll be pleased if I can just keep my weight off this week I think.

veeboo · 05/04/2019 13:46

Well done everyone! I have been trying to get my exercise up this week, I even went to a clubbercise class yesterday with a friend. It was good fun.

I've just weighed and I'm 12st 11.5 so 2.5 loss this week. Hoping I can keep that up!

whothefuckhas5children · 05/04/2019 16:27

oyster thanks for updating. I can’t edit it at the moment. Can you please change me to week 2? I started on 28/3.

PhillipeFellope · 05/04/2019 18:26

Viva that's brilliant!! Well done!!

And veebo excellent news!

Thanks oyster you're a star!

Ive only had breakfast today for one reason and another but I fancy having a dirty salad for tea. And by dirty I mean frying some onions to go on the top. And maybe bacon 🙈 It definitely going to be chicken salad though. Just got the guilts about potentially fat stuff.

dancemom · 05/04/2019 20:47

Haven't weighed in this week but I had a McDonalds today 🙈
Still I've been at the gym 4 times and did metafit today so hopefully it won't have done too much damage
Weigh in tomorrow morning 🤞🏼

xamyrose · 05/04/2019 21:33

I’m due on in a couple of days so I won’t weigh until that’s over with because that just messes up the scales!

Has anyone does protein world before?

PhillipeFellope · 05/04/2019 22:02

I wouldn't bother with that kind of thing xamyrose they're generally a scam, and full of sugar. They fill you up initially but there's no long term benefits and once you start eating normally again the weight all goes back on. You're probably better off just buying whey protein powder and some b6 vitamins.

VivaFrida · 06/04/2019 09:19

Thank you for your kind words PhillipeFellope, Oysterbabe and good wishes and vibes to all at the beginning of the weekend!

It is great to have lost over 6kg (1 stone) and I can really start to notice it! The mildly amusing thing is that it seems to have gone all away from my boobs and ribcage, I still have chubby arms and a tummy!! So no boobs and a tummy... hmm... attractive!! ROFL!!! But I kind that, in my case, weightless starts from up and goes down, when I reach under 60kg it will start to settle in my 'normal' body shape - been there before!

So what is everyone planning for the weekend? I have just done a circuit workout (GROAN but also YAY) and then we will have brunch and then ... house cleaning with the team (DH & DS). After I'd like to go swimming, not for weight loss but for pleasure. I love being in the water and my preferred career choice would have been to be a dolphin but it's a very closed industry, if you don't get in there because of who your parents are it's a closed shop - the cheek of it!! Wink

Have a lovely weekend skinny buddies and let's keep keeping on!!

bodgersmash · 06/04/2019 09:32

Wow @VivaFrida well done! And thanks for your lovely positive post.

My plan for today - relationship counselling this morning. Going to get out in the garden this afternoon and also take the dog for a long walk.

Food wise, planning to skip breakfast. Salad for lunch again and then chicken fajitas tonight. I'll have mine with no wrap and just a huge salad. Will try to keep some calories back to allow some kind of chocolatey nibbles whilst watching Saturday night TV with DS.

Have a good one all!

VivaFrida · 06/04/2019 09:40

Thank you bodgersmash and lots of respect to you for relationship counselling. DH and I went through it a few years ago and it helped us but it's really hard work. I wish you all the best with it .

Oysterbabe · 06/04/2019 10:08

Morning!

Saturday is a bit of a planned off plan day for me. I find I can still lose and it keeps me sane. I had a bacon sandwich for breakfast, I'll have salad for lunch but then ordering a pizza for dinner. I'll even have a glass of wine.

I'm half contemplating a run in the morning. I haven't been for a few years but I used to run a lot and do a few half marathons a year. I've signed up for one in March and need to ease back into it at some point.

deadparrot · 06/04/2019 11:41

Hello everyone, I am loving seeing your inspiring posts and am afraid I am letting the side down - have had the worst week ever, very broken nights, scary MRI results of DS and working 7 day weeks to get through a deadline (not workaholic, just self-employed feast or famine type stuff). Have had to cancel both my booked-in gym classes because just no time.

Every day I've started well then I just find myself eating something extra and completely convincing myself that I "deserve it". And DEFINITELY a hefty glass of wine by 7. Haven't yet managed one 100% good day yet. Argh so annoyed with myself!!

Still, today is a new day (so far I've done everything right - OK I know it's only 11.30am!) and I'm going to plan my meals and snacks to the letter and report back. Not going to weigh in till Monday to give myself a chance to remedy my situation. Have a lovely weekend everyone x
