As our old thread was almost full, here's a shiny new thread.
If there are any lurkers about, please do come and join us - we are a friendly, relaxed bunch. Although, hopefully not too relaxed as we need to see results
Summer is just around the corner, so let's do this...!

Long long dog walk for me today.

Fiontar649 · 22/03/2019 15:22

Mini update - waiting to go into a vair important meeting in my size 16 suit that does up! And my rainmac did up over that.

StealthNinjaMum · 22/03/2019 18:49

What lovely updates.

WhencanIsleepagin that is the most annoying weight ever - so close to being in the 13s. Is that about 5 oz? Perhaps if you have a haircut and clip your toenails if they're like mine you'll get there.

Fiontar I bet you were awesome in that meeting being really confident.

WhenCanISleepAgain · 22/03/2019 19:26

Thanks Stealth Grin and hope you vair important meeting went well Fiontar - great to see your hard work paying off in the outfits you can wear!

Fiontar649 · 22/03/2019 21:23

Thanks guys.
We had a new biz pitch, so hopefully it went our way.
Looking forward to a weekend of slobbing about now!

Aurorie11 · 23/03/2019 06:37

Sneaking in at the back, some how lost 0.5lb this week, making 23.5 in total. Food has been rubbish not helped by loads of work travel (desperate for one that doesn't involve so much travel). Must get head back into it, planning to join a gym.

Fiontar649 · 23/03/2019 10:40

Aurorie11 that's just the wee boost you need to get going again. Are you staying away overnight with work, or long days on the road but coming home each night? Either of those would be a challenge for me !

TheHoundsofLove · 23/03/2019 12:13

Fiontar I bet you rocked in your suit!
When That's great progress - fingers crossed that you get into the 13s next week.
Aurorie You're doing so well - it must be very difficult when you don't have full control over your food.
I've lost 1.5lbs this week, which I'll take but don't entirely feel that I deserve... If I lose another half pound next week, I'll have lost a stone over the past 3 months, which is exactly the rate of progress that I said I'd be happy with!
I've been quite shocked this week as have recently started dressmaking and looking at the size measurements on slightly older patterns has been quite an eye opener! Shock I would say that modern sizes are out by at least 2 sizes! It's definitely spurring me on...

WhenCanISleepAgain · 23/03/2019 18:06

Great progress aurorie and hounds. Dressmaking is a good incentive and it is sobering to think how much clothing sizes have changed.

Aurorie11 · 23/03/2019 19:00

Fiontar, it’s a mix but mainly long days coming home late.

Been and bought gym clothes today

Had a busy day almost 20000 steps and didn’t eat much until dinner, but did have fish and chips, but reckon I’m still 1500 calories down today

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 23/03/2019 19:37

So lovely to hear all of your news. It sounds like some of you are doing really well! Congratulations and keep going Smile.

TheHoundsofLove · 24/03/2019 11:04

Hope that everything is going well and that you're feeling okay Gruffalo .
Is anyone else finding that their actual stomach has massively shrunk? I went out for dinner last night - we had a sharing starter and then I could only eat half of my main course. I would have easily finished it a few months ago, but I was absolutely stuffed! It's both amazing and a bit disappointing... Grin

That's a tough schedule. Do you have the facility to bring food with you? I have brought my lunch to work every day this year, which is unbelievable compared to the number of rip off sandwiches I used to buy. I try to do lunch prep twice a week and stack my lunch boxes in the fridge

Hounds - I said same to DH on Friday. We got a take out and I struggled to finish mine, whereas in the past I would have finished his too Blush

StealthNinjaMum · 25/03/2019 12:22

Good news aurorie and hounds.

hounds my stomach has completely shrunk, it's a lovely feeling.

TheHoundsofLove · 25/03/2019 13:25

Fiontar You sound amazingly organised!
Stealth You're right - it is a great feeling! In actual fact, I think I'm going to start using a smaller dinner plate. I really don't like calorie counting - it's just so soulless - so am trying to just listen to my body and eat smaller portions. Using smaller bowls and plates would make this easier, I think.

Fiontar649 · 25/03/2019 21:09

Not looking forward to tomorrow! I ate too much junk and drank too much wine at the weekend. I can feel it in myself, sluggish and bloated. I need to get a grip again tomorrow.

WhenCanISleepAgain · 26/03/2019 07:07

Maybe you could aim for a Wednesday weigh i instead Fiontar?

I lost 1.8lbs in total since last Tuesday. It takes me to 14 stone exactly so I’m excited to cross into 13 stone something in the coming days.

WhenCanISleepAgain · 26/03/2019 07:17

Come back PrivateCello, let us know how you’re doing!

And any others who haven’t posted in a while Smile

Fiontar649 · 26/03/2019 07:55

Well done When - that's brilliant!
I was going to put it off, but that's a slippery slope for me.
I am up 2 lbs. Easy on/easy off I hope, but either way a reminder that I can't eat shite all weekend and get away with it.

PrivateCello · 26/03/2019 07:56

When! Thank you for the shout out! Amazingly you have had 3 whooshes in one week! Love it!
I was hesitant to come back as I have been off plan for a while. My cold at the beginning of the thread turned into a full blown chest infection, tonsillitis, ear infection, raging fever and the whole lot. Was on bed for 2 days as couldn’t move. I couldn’t eat for a few days so I lost a bit of weight which I dismissed as I knew it wasn’t a real weight loss. When I started eating I gained some and then lost a bit so I am at 68.7kg at the moment. The worst thing is I discovered this really tasty pizza from Iceland which at 900 calories a pop is a lot but I can’t seem to give it up and have been having it every night Grin

Anyway enough about me, how are you all getting on? Gruffalo how are things? SNM, sorry meant to ask you, how did your date go? You mentioned something at the end of the last thread. Do we smell romance in the air Wink

when the swimming and running seem to do you a world of good, really nice to read how positive you have sounded in your last few posts. DS okay?

Hope everyone is okay, sorry on the phone with both kids playing up so can’t type a lot!

StealthNinjaMum · 26/03/2019 08:17

I am up a lb! There is no reason why. Period coming? Maybe I should track that as I have no idea when my last one was.

It means so far I've only lost about 2lbs this month. My target was 4. Annoying but given I have a bmi of 23 it was never going to be easy so I'm not too upset..

I am going to the gym twice a week. How soon would I put on muscle weight? I'm guessing it would take longer than a fortnight.

When this is going to be your 13 week I can feel it.

cello he was very nice but I didn't fancy him. I am meeting someone else on 1st April who seems nice. Both seem very polite and respectful - not what I'd expected from online dating.

WhenCanISleepAgain · 26/03/2019 08:41

Thanks all and I’m encouraged. DS is on the go constantly and his walking is getting faster and so I’m glad to have started this so I can have some hope of keeping up with him!

Great to hear how others are doing. Well done for checking in Fiontar and I’m sure those two pounds will disappear quickly.

It’s probably not muscle (yet) Stealth if it’s only been two weeks but it could be water gain as you use your muscles in new ways?

Sorry you have been so unwell and had such a rough stretch cello. It can take a while to recover after all that. I’m glad you’re doing better now. Is there another pizza you could substitute for it - or could you cut the centre out and put salad in it like they do at pizza express for their lighter pizzas Grin

Fiontar649 · 26/03/2019 11:37

Oh could my 2 lbs be down to the fact I am crippled from 2 hours gardening at the weekend? My ass and legs are in agony. 《clutches at straws》

WhenCanISleepAgain · 26/03/2019 12:39

I don’t really know what I’m talking about Grin but sounds possible to me Fiontar

PrivateCello · 26/03/2019 13:18

Definitely could be water retention Stealth, keep drinking the water and you will see the whoosh of a couple of pounds soon!
Oh you have been lucky there with the online dating, did you read the thread in relationships where the guy lied about his age, said he was 57 but when he turned up ( with a plastic bag ! ) he looked more like 87 Grin. And you must tell us how you get on with the new date, have you anything nice to wear sorted?

Oh god no When that would be a disservice to the pizza Grin, the best bit is the middle part as it's all gooey with pesto, tomato, cheese. I have another 7 in the freezer to get through and I can't wait Grin.
Is DS into exploring everything now that he's walking more? Great time to take him to the park to explore the flowers, bees, insects! Love it when they are so little and cute Smile. Plus great exercise for you running around him!

Fiontar the 2 pounds will disappear soon, keep doing what you are doing. BTW did you mention somewhere in the old thread that you have an airfryer? Apart from chips, what else do you cook in it? I ask as I bought one over the weekend and not sure what else I can make in it!
