This morning I hit 16st I am so angry at myself as I worked hard to get down to 9st 10lb three years ago and I've messed it all up by mindlessly eating through boredom since leaving my ex.

So today I've dusted off my old mfp account and I'm starting again. I dont plan to eat diet crap just stick to my calories eating whatever fits in them and trying to walk more. Anyone want to join me?

Margot, I do enjoy the trampoline. I jog on it as bouncing makes me feel unbalanced and it feels more like a step machine, which I used to like at the gym.
I watched the documentary 'Super Size Me' on Amazon, while I was on the trampoline. It was really interesting and made me think a lot about portion size and how it has become so much more acceptable to be obese+. When I talk about my weight (I'm 15.4 stone, and a size 20,) people say that I don't look fat or that big and it's okay. But if I was smoking or taking drugs they wouldn't mince their words about how unhealthy it is. This was mentioned in the documentary. I find it really interesting how we behave differently, even though all those things are bad for our health. I'm autistic so I don't naturally understand how this is different. I'm rather obsessed by it. I watch my 600lb life too. I have some things in common with the emotional reasons for eating and the binge eating some of the people on that show have. Although making them wash on camera is really exploitative. I like Dr Now as he is honest but kind. His voice is very soothing.

Fizzyboo · 17/03/2019 09:05

@Margot33 I jog too. It's actually pretty quick to achieve.... unless your toddler wants to get on too...

Lemonsquinky · 17/03/2019 09:38

I lost a pound this week. I wish it was more.

Margot33 · 17/03/2019 09:59

Thanks @Lemonsquinky and @Fizzyboo think I'll have to sell off my running machine and bike before I buy a trampoline though. Well done Lemon, a pound is still a loss 👏

glenthebattleostrich · 17/03/2019 13:19

Just a lb eh?! The pictue is 1lb of fat.

So well done Lemon. 1lb is a great loss. I lost 1lb this week too. AF has arrived and as a non scale victory I've managed to not want to kill anyone and not drown myself in carbs.

Lemonsquinky · 17/03/2019 19:53

Thank you Margot and Glen.

glenthebattleostrich · 18/03/2019 07:40

Good morning.

New week, new start!

AF is here, feeling bloated and urgh bit stayed within 0.5lb of my loss so happy with that. Looking forward to seeing what the scales say on Friday.

The sum is shining, it was light when I walked the dog this morning so I've got a good feeling about this week!

Aiming for another 2.5lb to take me I to the 13's this week so being super strict. My new kettlebell arrives today, it's an 8kg one so hopefully will see some faster results. Doing a workout tonight and Wednesday. Lots of walking planned and have a load of water chilling down.

Have a fabulous day everyone. And please remind me how motivated I am now when I start whinging tomorrow 😁

RubySlippers77 · 18/03/2019 09:43

A lovely positive post glen, thank you!

I have been AWOL for a while with a tummy bug and screaming, fighting DTs - it's been hellish really - I couldn't go outdoors for long but really the weather was too crap to do much anyway, hence they stayed indoors and squabbled like there was no tomorrow. I'm trying to make lots of plans for the Easter hols to keep them busy!

Will weigh in again tomorrow, not sure how it's going, I couldn't eat much for a few days but then had massive carb cravings. We shall see.

In the meantime, DP has managed to fill the house with very tempting crap - baklava, chocolate brownies, leftover pizza - I'll try not to hoover it all up.....!

HostessTrolley · 18/03/2019 10:34

I just found this group and really hoping I can join 😊

I’m 5’4” and currently weigh 16st 9lb (cry) and it’s time to get myself sorted. I dusted off my Fitbit on March 1st, with starting weight 16st 12lb, so have lost 3lb in two weeks with an average of 1800 cals/day and trying to increase my steps a bit.

We just booked a holiday for the end of June, and have a family wedding with people I haven’t seen in years (we live away from most of my family) mid June, so I have motivation - I don’t want to look like I’ve gone to the dogs at the wedding, and my 18 year old Dd will be in her size 6 bikini on holiday, and as much as I love her and I know I’m never going to be a size 6, I just want to feel a bit better about myself.

I know if I try to reduce my calories too fast I’ll just give up, so I’m aiming this week to have my average at 1700/day. I love all the little graphs on the Fitbit! Husband works away during the week, so weekends tend to be harder with meals out and wine.

My target at the moment is to get to bmi 30, which is 12st 7lb. I’d like to be under 15st 7 for the holiday which is just over a pound a week. More than that would be amazing.

I’d love some new Fitbit friends and challenges to feel less alone! I’ve started going to the gym, just doing light cardio but trying to get into the habit of going regularly to start with I feel too self conscious to do some of the exercises but have booked an appointment to get a proper programme later in the week.

Hope you’re all having a good Monday

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 18/03/2019 12:22

I don't really seem to be losing anything... I had a bad week, spent ages in hospital appointments and ended up having half a fish and chips on Thursday, and bacon sandwiches twice last week. And I ate out on Friday and Saturday. So I guess it might be a win that I haven't gained, I'm just exactly the same!

Trying to get back into it this week but I've got more hospital appointments and more time in hotels so it's tough.

Have a good week all 💪

glenthebattleostrich · 18/03/2019 14:16

Welcome hostess. If you'd like a friend on Fitbit I'm MrsJeffercake on there. Feel free to add me. There are a few of us who do challenges and you are very welcome to join us.

Anchor, well done staying the same. It's not easy when you are away from home and stressed with appointments. You've done brilliantly.

Good to see you Ruby, sorry you've been poorly. Hopefully you are on the mend. Have a look on museum and library websites, they do loads in my area for free or really cheaply. How old are your twins? I might have some ideas for you!

HerRoyalFattyness · 18/03/2019 19:10

Im exhausted. Couldn't figure out why then realised ive only eaten 258 caloroes all day Blush

glenthebattleostrich · 19/03/2019 08:57

Yeah, you need to eat a bit more than that!

I'm on track to hit a new number this week. Wish me luck!

HostessTrolley · 19/03/2019 09:24

Eep that’s not good @herroyal x

Good luck glen x

I’m trying to motivate myself to get off the sofa and go to the gym. But it’s raining. And coffee...

glenthebattleostrich · 19/03/2019 10:17

But Hostess think how much better you're going to feel after going to the gym. And then you can have a justified nap!

HerRoyalFattyness · 19/03/2019 19:52

Eaten better tiday, still exhausted though.
I think a lot of ot is due to nit drinking fizzy drinks. I was a fizzy drink addict and ive gone to water instead.

glenthebattleostrich · 20/03/2019 09:17

Yeah, it takes a few days to adjust. Think it was about a week for me. But now I feel great with it.

Can I just do a little happy fancy for a moment. I put on size 14s today. And they fastened. They are slightly tight but wearable. They have a smaller muffin top than my 18s had 6 weeks ago.

I get my measurements done again on Friday. Can't wait to see how much I've lost.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 20/03/2019 09:54

Morning all...

Had a bad day yesterday, unintentionally. Had poached eggs and pittas for breakfast, then ended up having a fish finger sandwich for lunch and pizza for tea, so far too much bread, and then wine at a friends' last night.

To make it worse, a friend was reminiscing about things and said that I used to be the slim sexy one, and she started her diet because she wanted to look like me. That hurt a bit, although I'm sure she meant it nicely... She's right, I weight 20kg less then, and put it all on in 6 months of awfulness.

Sweetcorn for breakfast this morning (need the veg and I've got a strange craving), poached eggs for lunch and then gym & pasta, I think. Working in between and will try very hard not to snack!

I'm 1.7kg (about 3.5lbs I think) down compared to 4th March, but I seem to be stuck here.

Did you make it to the gym hostess?

Spicylolly · 21/03/2019 08:42

Morning all, haven't been on here for a bit as I was getting ready for an interview and had family over from abroad.
I've been good food wise, not nearly as hungry after my fasting so I only really have a healthy meal in the evening, starting to slip with the booze though ie making excuses for buying sparkly etc so need to nip that in the bud.
Haven't really been exercising but still walking a fair bit (again got distracted with the interview)
Been getting out in the garden a fair bit though as the weather's nicer. Our new house has about an acre so plenty of work to do! Luckily it's split into 3 sections, lawn, paddock and woods so it's only the top bit that needs a lot of work. All worth it though as it's stunning 😍 Our front garden is massive too but luckily it's mostly paved over.

6st to lose no more excuses. Who's with me?
HostessTrolley · 21/03/2019 18:13

Garden looks lovely @spicylolly

I’ve felt nauseous all day today, had planned to go to the gym again but it’s not happening. Not to worry. Daughter came home saying ‘Oohh I really fancy kale with dinner so I stopped and bought some’. Weird. No idea what we’re eating, need to dig in the freezer and find something that goes with kale Confused

glenthebattleostrich · 21/03/2019 18:25

Love your garden spicy.

Today has been tough, kids have been a bloody nightmare. I'm having a huge g&t tonight. I have resisted diving head first into a vat of crisps but only just.

I'm sticking with the diet, only 1lb until I've lost a stone and just 2lb until I'm back in the 13s.

Personal trainer tomorrow, then meeting a friend for lunch at a place which does wonderful salads.

Lemonsquinky · 21/03/2019 19:51

I've had a migraine for two days and now I'm going through the migraine hangover which is crap. I haven't stuck to the diet. I get massive food cravings. I got it after the course on Tuesday, we had to talk about negative feelings and also I'm upset because Mother's Day is coming up and I'm sad because my mum is abusive and I don't see her anymore. I would like to cook a nice lunch and buy her a present, better still, make her something. Anyway, onwards and upwards.
It's good to have this thread for support. Spicy, your garden looks lovely. Glen, congratulations on the size 14s.

HerRoyalFattyness · 21/03/2019 21:03

I dont think the antidepressants are working after all.
Im in floods of tears because i just dont want to be alive.
I dont want to kill myself, because it would hurt... but i just dont want to live any more.

All they're doing is making me sick. Which is ok, because ive lost a stone total, but it also means im eating shit to try and make up for it. So i eat more and more...

Spicylolly · 21/03/2019 22:36

Fattyness sending huge hugs.....please please make an appointment with your GP xxx

Spicylolly · 21/03/2019 22:39

Have you got anyone close to you that you can talk to? It can make all the difference...Samaritans are amazing too x
