This morning I hit 16st I am so angry at myself as I worked hard to get down to 9st 10lb three years ago and I've messed it all up by mindlessly eating through boredom since leaving my ex.

So today I've dusted off my old mfp account and I'm starting again. I dont plan to eat diet crap just stick to my calories eating whatever fits in them and trying to walk more. Anyone want to join me?

Haha gin and cake diet, now that would be popular 😆

I broke my fast last night with scotch and half a pack of dry roasted peanuts, felt very guilty afterwards but weighed myself this morning and I'm a pound down too so perhaps spirits are the key lol

Really craved carbs this morning after a drink though! Really really wanted a bacon sarny but I was good and had some broth instead... think I'm going to live off that all week it's delicious ☺

Spicylolly · 09/03/2019 12:39

Ooooh just done a test stick and I'm still in ketosis so I don't feel too bad about my blip last night ☺

What scales does everyone have by the way? I'm really tempted by the Fitbit ones but they are so expensive 😕

vickibee · 09/03/2019 13:08

WWsmart scales are good, seem accurate.

Spicylolly · 09/03/2019 13:26

Thanks, I'll have a look 👍

Lemonsquinky · 09/03/2019 13:41

Fizzyboo, I find a drink of squash for the sweet cravings help and bread sticks for carb/crunchy craving. But all we can do is acknowledge the blip and move on. I think if I haven't lost weight tomorrow (my weigh day), I'm going to have a proper tantrum.Blush
I did the jogging on the trampoline which was fun and I'm going to walk the dog later. I'm dreading dieting today and tomorrow because I'm going to be around people who are eating normally and I like to drink wine at the weekend.
I worked out that if I lose 2lb a week it will take me 9 months to get to 10 stone 12. I just realised that it's the same length of time to grow a baby. I'm going to grow a fitter, healthier me instead!
Checking in here is helping me.

Fizzyboo · 09/03/2019 14:16

@Lemonsquinky good shout... I might get some Melba toast as I used to have them and a whole pack is like 90 cals.

Also I used to get my steps up by jogging on the trampoline, need to start that again, thanks for reminding me!

Terrible day today:

Didn’t have breakfast til 9 as was sorting kids out and went to Sainsbury’s and had breakfast when I got back, so wasn’t even really hungry for lunch. Lunch as a service station where we were dropping DS off with my parents.

B: vegan porridge as usual - water, inch of banana, third of a cup of oats, frozen blueberries, almond butter ✔️

Snack which I didn’t even need: stress-are a cheese twist and a pack of pombears (pombears rejected by DS2 who was screaming in the car, hence the stress)

Lunch: mcdonalds veggie delight, fries and sugar free sprite (as if sugar free makes a difference when it’s mcdonalds 🤣)

Dinner : I’ve been planning to do a butternut squash risotto all week and the rocket is going off and I’m craving it so....! Haven’t weighed for a few days and am scared to see a gain, but I did 3 runs this week after not running since June so that’s a positive.

Going to buy some squash as that does really help me 1) drink more water and 2) not give in to sweet cravings. Even though I feel guilty drinking squash???

LiftedHigh · 09/03/2019 17:33

.

glenthebattleostrich · 09/03/2019 17:58

I'm bloody knackered.

Dog walk at 7am, 1 hour with my PT, nail appointment (my treat for the week) and wax, food shop for fresh bits and meat, cleaned DD disgusting room, cleaned out the guinea pigs, tidied the kitchen, unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher, put the supermarket shop away and cleaned the bathroom.

Still got to do the spare room ( kids sleeping over tonight), washing machine to unload and reload and living room to do.

The babysitter is here from 7:30, I'm out at 8 and I'm doing my very best not to kill someone.

It's my relaxed food day today so I've had a few extra bits but still keto.

9lb down this week, so feeling really pleased with myself.

HerRoyalFattyness · 09/03/2019 18:00

Can i join?

I started the year at 16st 8lb.
Im now down to 15st 8lb, but obviously still have a lot to lose and could do with some support.

If anyone wants to add me on fitbit or MFP feel free to private message me and I'll give you my email.

Lemonsquinky · 10/03/2019 09:25

I've lost 8lbs!!! In a week!!!! I know it's mainly water but the diet is working!!!!Grin
I woke up early with the mixture of excitement and fear as it's weigh day.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 10/03/2019 10:21

I'm 1.5kg down since Monday, about 3.3lbs I think. Pretty happy with that, I definitely slipped up a few times.

I'll hit my target just about if I can keep it up Smile

Spicylolly · 10/03/2019 11:17

A friend was sharing this on Facebook, I won't post the link as I know some people are wary of clicking things they don't know. So just google Julia Buckley fitness, she used to charge a fee but now offers all her workouts and advice for free.

Well done to everyone losses so far! 💪💪💪
I've only just joined but it looks good, I'm going too start with her 5 day boot camp tomorrow ☺👍

iloveredwine · 10/03/2019 11:39

me I have put on 5 stone since having my kids and want it gone!

Wingz93 · 10/03/2019 12:56

Hi, hope you don't mind if I join? I'm new to Mumsnet, but have read through lots of threads in the past.

I have 4/5 stone to lose overall and need some form of accountability. I've given up crisps and fizzy drinks for lent as a start as they are my 2 biggest falldowns! I have also downloaded My Fitness Pal in the hope I will use it to calorie count - not that I have actually logged anything yet 😔

Good luck to you all!

HerRoyalFattyness · 10/03/2019 14:48

spicy thank you for that. Ive just joined and will start the 5 day bootcamp tomorrow

weechops · 10/03/2019 19:58

Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet. I have stuck to my no chocolate for lent though, and think I may be over the worst of the sugar cravings!

glenthebattleostrich · 11/03/2019 06:16

Morning, 2lb back on this weekend after a big blow out on Saturday. Bit disappointed but I'm still half a stone lighter than past week.

Got right back on it yesterday, took dd swimming and did half an hour myself. And had an hour with my PT on Saturday.

My exercise plan this week is 2 dog walks per day, 2 hiit videos, with kettlebell, 1 hour with pt. And stick to my food plan.

Good to see lots of new names. Weechops, well done one giving up chocolate. Spicy, thanks for sharing. Like the look of some of those videos.

Have a great day everyone.

Spicylolly · 11/03/2019 07:30

Glen I'm exhausted just reading your plans! haha I wouldn't worry about those 2lbs they soon go, mine say I went up 2lbs too, I didn't blow out food wise but I did have wine.
I'm going to start that 5 day boot camp in a minute once my sons gone to school (don't want to scar him for life lol) and the elliptical trainer is looking accusingly at me so I best jump on that at some point today (might watch homes under the hammer whilst on it 😆) Then I've a got a dog to walk so I'll walk there & back rather than drive its about 1½miles away.
Then that will be me done...oh except walking my own 2 dogs 👍

Have a good day everyone, be good 💪💪💪

HerRoyalFattyness · 11/03/2019 07:55

Ive put 3lb back on, but I'm due a period in a few days so im blaming that.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 11/03/2019 11:31

First week of weighing (although I'm a few weeks into the gym now) and I'm 4.4lbs down, which is pretty good.

Just need to be good at food this week, try not to be too stressed, and keep hitting the exercise goals! Gym sessions Monday and Wednesday this week.

Fizzyboo · 11/03/2019 15:52

Tried on a beautiful dress today after swimming and I looked like absolute sausage meat stuffed into it. It was awful and very unforgiving mirrors. I needed that. Inspiration right there.

glenthebattleostrich · 11/03/2019 17:14

Thanks spicy, what is the 5 day bootcamp like? I'm thinking of starting it next week to keep everything fresh.

I decided to walk to the kids activities today and walk the nursery run (so apologies to those on the Fitbit challenge!) That as well as walking the dog and the general stuff with the kids has me at almost 20000 steps today. I'm bloody knackered but still have 1 more dog walk and tea to cook, although I'm glad everything has been prepared and is ready just to throw in a pan.

Food has been very good today, no temptation to cheat yet. I bought a gorgeous size 14 dress to wear in Paris in June at the weekend. It's a small 14 so I need to lose 6 inches off my waist to fit it (hense the crazy walking).

I didn't drink enough water over the weekend which I think is the main issue. I need to make sure I keep good habits when I'm not working.

As I'm on track, I've booked to have my hair done on Fri afternoon, so PT in the morning then getting treats 😁

HerRoyal, don't stress, apparently up to 7lb around period is normal (please remind me of that in 2 weeks!). It'll soon come down to normal and just think how motivating the whoosh will be.

Well done Anchor, thats a great result.

Dizzy, hang the dress where you will see it regularly. I have mine on the back of the kitchen door right by the fridge.

glenthebattleostrich · 11/03/2019 17:14

Bloody autocorrect. Fizzy!

lpchill · 11/03/2019 17:20

Can I join? I started slimming world 2 weeks ago at 14 stone lost 2 1/2 pound then went on holiday. This weeks weigh in won't be pretty. I need to be 10 stone or less so at least 4 stone to lose. I have unexplained knee issues that surgery couldn't fix or work out so the only thing I can do is lose weight. I also have nerve damage from a c section that I've been advised to lose weight for to helpfully stop the pain
