This morning I hit 16st I am so angry at myself as I worked hard to get down to 9st 10lb three years ago and I've messed it all up by mindlessly eating through boredom since leaving my ex.

So today I've dusted off my old mfp account and I'm starting again. I dont plan to eat diet crap just stick to my calories eating whatever fits in them and trying to walk more. Anyone want to join me?

I felt like that for a long time. It is worth going to the doctor. You might not be on the right antidepressants or the right dose. Have you thought about counselling?

glenthebattleostrich · 22/03/2019 06:21

HerRoyal, please please go to the doctor today. This isn't right, your dose may need adjusting or you might need to try a different antidepressant. Please make the call.

Lemon, do you have children? Make mother's Day about you. Go for a lovely lunch, make yourself something lovely. Celebrate the fact you made it through and you are strong enough to get help. And if you need to scream and cry do. Accept your feelings because they a valid response to life.

If you need to talk please PM me and I'll send you my number.

HerRoyalFattyness · 22/03/2019 07:55

Im ok. Ill be fine.
I'll phone the doctor and make an appointment. Unfortunately can't get there today. Its difficult to get time off work. But I'll make sure i get there asap.

Spicylolly · 22/03/2019 08:14

Take care of yourself x glad you're going back to the Drs Flowers

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 22/03/2019 14:10

Please go to the doctors HerRoyal. And look after yourself Flowers

I don't seem to be making any progress on the wait loss front. I'm keeping up the PT sessions, but I don't think they are enough... I had a bad week last week because of work events that meant a lot of eating out; and this week had a night with a friend which accidentally involved sharing two bottles of wine and some camembert, so maybe that's the reason. I don't feel that I'm eating very much, overall, I'm having a small amount of granola for breakfast, usually poached eggs for lunch, and then DP cooks for tea but I'm having half of the portion size that I used to have...

Planning to try and fit swimming in this weekend, and see if more cardio helps. I'm feeling quite down though. I don't really see how I could eat much less, and I've only lost 2.5lbs since the start of the month...

I'm thinking of skipping lunch today but I didn't want to go back down that path. I weigh enough that that first few stone felt like it should come off pretty quickly...

glenthebattleostrich · 22/03/2019 21:14

It sounds silly anchor, but are you eating enough?

glenthebattleostrich · 23/03/2019 08:34

Good morning.

How is everyone doing?

RubySlippers77 · 23/03/2019 08:54

Well I weighed myself for the first time in weeks - still the same - which is obviously good in one way but not in the sense that I'm still fat!!

DP is in a really vicious, bitchy mood today and has already moaned about my weight (amongst other things). He is 22 stone though Shock

Will see how today goes and keep up my steps if nothing else..... 15K average per day at the moment.

How is everyone else?

vickibee · 23/03/2019 10:40

My go has refereed my to the local wellbeing programme. Apparently you get 3 months free membership of the local authority run gym plus access to a personal trainer. I have an appointment for a week on weds so willing to giv3 it a try.
Perhaps other areas run something similar. ? My problem is time as we live in middle of nowhere and it is thirty min drive to nearest place.

HostessTrolley · 23/03/2019 14:58

I weighed myself this morning and have lost 0.1kg this week, which is a bit sad. Likelihood of many steps or much calorie counting this weekend not high, as I’m taking my uni-age son up to Nottingham for a sporting event which will involve hours of driving followed by boozy meal out tonight, then spectating followed by driving tomorrow. Will be in the gym and back on it on Monday, that’ll just have to do.

Had a new gym programme set up yesterday, I think she’s trying to kill me 😂

Lwmommy · 23/03/2019 16:40

I weighed in today at 234, top of the healthy range for my height is 154 so I have 80 lb to shift. Bugger!

5 and a half stones seems like too big a target so I think.i need to break it down and reward myself along the way.

1 stone = fitbit or way cheaper huwaii fitbit style watch
2 stone = new shoes
3 stone = hopefully I'll need some new clothes as none of.mine will fit
4 stone = a massage
5 stone = new clothes.and some kind of outing to show them off.

Spicylolly · 24/03/2019 11:46

I've been a massive pig compared to normal and having Chinese takeaway tonight (celebrating) but I'll be back on it tomorrow. I got the managers job I went for so I've got 4 weeks to lose as much as I can to start my job as less of a fatty 😊

Fizzyboo · 24/03/2019 13:38

Half a stone down since I joined the thread! Though I might be near the bottom of the step achievers on the Fitbit group, it's really motivating me.

Spicylolly · 24/03/2019 14:50

Well done Fizzy!

glenthebattleostrich · 24/03/2019 18:54

Well done fizzy. And you do great at the step challenge.

Congratulations spicy. You deserve the treat.

Hi mommy. I'm finding my little reward chart very motivating. And I really enjoy my little treats.

Hostess, do you take measurements? I bet you've shrunk and the scales will catch up.

Lemon and HerRoyal how are you guys doing?

Ruby, point out to your husband that you can easily lose 20+ stone overnight and if he continues to be a twat it will be sooner rather than later. Sweetie, you are doing great. The number hasn't gone up. That's an achievement.

I hit my stone mark then are 2 packets of Percy pigs a family bag of crisps and a Chinese takeaway. I don't weigh on a Sunday so let's see how much damage I've done tomorrow. My personal trainer measured me on Friday and I've lost 6.5 inches overall.

HerRoyalFattyness · 24/03/2019 22:51

Couldn't get through to the GP, so will try again tomorrow.

I seem to have gained a couple of pounds back again, but my rings (engagement and eternity) were a bit loose. So i swapped them to my right hand which is slightly fatter... and put my original engagement ring back on. I couldn't get it on a couple of weeks ago!

As you can see, i have very oddly shaped fat fingers! All the fat is at the top/bit connected to the hand.

6st to lose no more excuses. Who's with me?
AnchorDownDeepBreath · 25/03/2019 09:11

Ahh I'm pleased that your engagement ring fits again, HerRoyal. Good luck getting a drs appointment tomorrow.

I had a demotivating weekend. Dragged myself out swimming yesterday morning, for the first time since September. Managed 30 lengths, which hurt, but the pool was full of children and it was quite stressful. Then we cleaned the house, and a friend turned up unexpectedly after a break up. We ended up meeting at the pub for a bit, and although I was really good, it meant we couldn't have tea until 9pm. I weigh even more than I did at the start this morning.

Talking to my friends, it seems most of them have only lost weight through cutting meals, which I didn't want to do. The one who has lost the most cut dinner three times a week and went to bed early. That would make me miserable but I really need to make progress...

I downloaded MFP this morning. I used to use it back in 2013. I weigh more now than I did then, apparently. Eurgh.

Onwards and upwards; I guess! It's killed my appetite for the morning, so I'll get on with work and I've got weights after work today.

Have a good Monday, all!

Lemonsquinky · 25/03/2019 14:00

I had a migraine from Tuesday to Friday and I had to go to the hospital because I have iritis. So the diet went out the window. I've been feeling low. But I went to B&Q to get some paint supplies and tester pots. So having a project will keep me busy and not get consumed with bad feelings to do with my abusive mother. I hate Mother's Day! She knocks my confidence even though I haven't seen her for five years.🙄
Good news about your engagement ring Royal.
I use MFP Anchor. I'm also heavier than when I used it before.
Congratulations Fizzy.
Spicy, I also had Chinese takeaway as it was my wedding anniversary at the weekend.
Hostess, a loss is still a loss!
Lwmommy I like the idea of a reward for each stone lost.
Ruby, I hope your dp has cheered up. Thanks
Wow on the inch loss Glen!

showgirl · 25/03/2019 17:56

14 stone 5 lbs was my starting weight a week ago down 2.5 pounds in week one. Want to get to 9 stone 5lbs.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 25/03/2019 20:02

I've calorie tracked everything I have eaten today, absolutely everything, including drinks.

I've just finished tea and I'm at 1,037; I have 450 odd left to lose 2lbs a week. I've been to the gym today too; so there'll be a couple of extra on top of that...

Why am I not losing?! I really don't understand it.

Lemonsquinky · 25/03/2019 20:54

Maybe it's muscle because you've been exercising, or hormonal, or you need a number 2?

Lwmommy · 25/03/2019 21:30

Anchordown it could be what your eating rather than calories.

A few years ago I managed to lose 5 stone (which ive since put about half back on)

The only way i can lose weight is to go low GI, carbs are not my friend. I have PCOS and insulin resistance so do not process sugar well.

I do not have to.drastically cut calories to.lose weight, I just have to.stop eating all the things I like and switch to high protein.

No more crisps, chocolate, bread, potatoes, white pasta Sad

vickibee · 26/03/2019 05:47

Hi I have just weighed myself and I have reached a one stone milestone so feeling pleases. I have treated myself with a non food treat and ordered myself a new pair of trainers so I don’t look shab at my new exercise classes. Generally feeling😀 but it does feel like a small victory in other ways when there is at least another 4 to go.
How do others stay motivated when there is so munch temptation.
Lwmommy I have cut carbs right down too and sticking to lean protein, it is dull not having any variety and longing for cheesy lasagne

stayathomer · 26/03/2019 05:51

Can I join? I haven't even weighed myself, but am what you'd call skinny ( thought not very;)) fat, my stomach has bloated to the size that my kids asked was I pregnant and people keep looking at my belly and practically nothing fits without being sore. Is all white bread, breakfast cereal and fizzy drink and lack of water related and I'm dreading Summer

HostessTrolley · 27/03/2019 07:52

Congrats vickibee - I love new shoes!

Hi stayathomer, welcome aboard!

Just trying to drag myself out of bed to go to the gym, but I’m warm! I’m self employed and work from home, and tend to start later and finish later - I’m not a morning person!
