This morning I hit 16st I am so angry at myself as I worked hard to get down to 9st 10lb three years ago and I've messed it all up by mindlessly eating through boredom since leaving my ex.

So today I've dusted off my old mfp account and I'm starting again. I dont plan to eat diet crap just stick to my calories eating whatever fits in them and trying to walk more. Anyone want to join me?

glenthebattleostrich thats reassuring!

I was going to start the bootcamp today but ive hurt my wrist at work so have to rest it. I work woth babies, so no chance of pushing through then resting it tomorrow either. Damn.

Ah well. I'll just make sure i move more for this week.

Spicylolly · 11/03/2019 19:08

I didn't do the boot camp video in the end, I realised how filthy the bathroom was so cleaned that instead.
I'll try and do 2 tomorrow to make up for it.... I have to wait in for a delivery so I'm sure that will be nice for the delivery driver when I open the door all fat and sweaty! 😆😆😆

Been good food wise, no breakfast (intermittent fasting) homemade chicken and veg broth for lunch and a teeny bit of steak, asparagus and cheesy cauliflower rice (which is my new favourite thing!) for dinner.

Also wanted to recommend a couple of thing's, firstly these awesome leggings. You can get them in short or long, they are SO comfy and cheap! I bought mine 3 years ago and they are still going strong. They are really stretchy, a large will go up to a 22/24

And also this spiraliser, I use it for mainly making courgettie....but it spiralises carrots really well too. Thank mine is 5 years old now and still going strong so worth the extra money ☺ www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00PR54V30/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8

Anyone else got any good recommendations?

Lemonsquinky · 11/03/2019 19:44

HerRoyalFattyness, I would love to work with babies.
I've had the 'my diet worked, I can eat what I want' day. Also ds1 cooked creme patisserie at school. It was amazing. I did the bouncing today but my dog has twisted his ankle so I couldn't go for a walk. I'd feel really bad.

HerRoyalFattyness · 11/03/2019 22:08

lemon it's not all its cracked up to be... shitty nappies, puke, crying Grin
I love it though.

I ate more than my calorie allowance according to fitbit, but i vommed most of it back up. (Thanks citalopram side effects! Hmm)
I feel very rough and have taken myself to bed with a bottle of water and some pain killers.

Spicylolly · 12/03/2019 08:49

I've no motivation at all today! I'm blaming the crappy weather and the fact my husband has the morning off so he sorted the kids this morning which means I'm still sitting in bed drinking coffee, I'm literally the laziest person alive 😆
I do have to walk my dogs and someone elses later so maybe the urge to exercise will suddenly manifest itself.....I doubt it though! I'm not hungry though so that's good.

Spicylolly · 12/03/2019 08:51

Hope you're feeling better today Herroyalfattyness? (Love your username!☺)

Lemonsquinky · 12/03/2019 14:44

I have to do a course. It is about a difficult emotional thing for me as I have to think about how my abusive parents affected me. There is a woman there that I find very triggering and I feel very stressed about it. I spoke to the tutor about it, which also is triggering for a lot of difficult feelings.
I've just eaten lunch (healthy,) and a huge 150g bag of crisps and two mini pork pies. I'm currently on 1775 calories when I'm meant to be eating 800. I feel really bad about myself.
I was explaining in the group how this thread makes me feel accountable because if I'm honest my dh enables me because he loves me. Sad

Spicylolly · 12/03/2019 17:44

God that sounds really tough lemon x be kind to yourself, it's only a few extra calories and everyone needs a pork pie or two sometimes x ❤

HerRoyalFattyness · 12/03/2019 21:02

spicy wrist is still hurting. Its an old injury flaring up again.
lemon that sounds tough. Flowers

My DP is also an enabler. He is 19st himself but he doesn't see it as a problem. (Despite him only being 5 foot 8! So a short arse!)
Last night for exampme, he ate an entire chicago town takeaway pizza, and an entire jamaican ginger cake with custard.
Then he wondered why i told him he had eaten too much.

vickibee · 13/03/2019 05:36

Had a good day yesterday until I went to cinema with my 12 yo. He bought one of those pick and mix things and I ended up dipping in. To be fair I maybe had four sweeties which is progress for me because I normally nibble a whole carton to myself. I have no willpower.
Lost about nine pounds altogether so I guess I should be pleased with that.🙂longing for 🍰

vickibee · 13/03/2019 05:38

Royal fatty my dh is similar to your dh and also has type 2 diabetes and he thought he was ok too. He has decided finally that enough is enough and joining me in healthy eating. His problem is lager, drinks a couple most evenings whereas I am tee total

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 13/03/2019 07:55

Morning all!

I seem to have put 2kg in today. Spent most of yesterday at the hospital, so eating wasn't great.

Gym tonight, and really trying to be good today. Back at the hospital at 11am but hoping to be out quickly.

I hope you're alright, lemon.

HerRoyalFattyness · 13/03/2019 08:19

vicki DP amazingly hasn't developed diabetes. Yet.
I keep telling him hes giving himself health problems but he doesn't listen, so i gather theres nothing more i can do.

glenthebattleostrich · 13/03/2019 08:59

Lemon Thanks. Don't beat yourself up. Yesterday was tough and you know why. That's a good start. Is it worth thinking about a different way to deal with the stress next week? Perhaps have a bar of seriously indulgent chocolate followed by a swim or a boxer size type class? Get a punchbag to hit out your stress? Or accept that that day eating is going to be shit and it's your day off.

Herroyal, sorry to hear about the wrist, hope it's on the mend soon. My husband is a lazy sod, when it's his turn to cook he tries to get takeout because he can't be bothered bit he still wants me to have a rest (not threaten to murder or divorce him).

Spicy, hope you enjoyed your lie in! Madmutt considers anything after 5:30 far to indulgent and an insult to doggies everywhere! The child agrees with her unfortunately.

A good couple of days. Lots of walking, up to 40000 steps for the week so far. Feeling fairly pleased with that. Diet is going well, I need to keep well on top of the food prep as that is definitely the key. It's really helping with portion sizes too.

Still at 9lb total loss, bit I fit into size 16s yesterday without having to do some kind of weird yoga type moves to fasten them! I'll be interested to see my measurements on Friday.

Have a great day everyone.

ArgusFilchsCat · 13/03/2019 18:25

Hows everyone doing? I've had no mumsnet access for a few days and cons back to ask this activity!
I'm joining the gym (gulp) induction on Sunday as I need a refresher on the weight machines. Its only been 10 years since I last went... Food wise I've cleared the cupboards of junk. Been a tough week Ddad has been unwell) but so far I'm resisting all the cake. No movement on the scales but not that worried yet. Risotto for dinner. Must go easy on the cheese! Grin

glenthebattleostrich · 14/03/2019 12:24

Very pleased another pound off. That takes me to 11 in ten days.

Margot33 · 14/03/2019 14:13

I've got a stinking cold so I'm eating hardly anything but it's all junk food. Spicy crisps, chocolate biscuits and a hot cross bun. 😨

Fizzyboo · 14/03/2019 14:41

Huzzah! 2lb off and into the next 'Stone category'! Yay!! Just couldn't get under it.

My newest tactic is no snacking. My meals are usually fine and a decent amount under calories, but I ruin it by night snacking. So that's it. No snacks.

Lemonsquinky · 14/03/2019 15:28

Thank you Spicy, Royal, Anchor and Glen. I think it's a good idea to have a one portion treat ready for after the course.
I've managed to stick to the diet for yesterday and today. I also ignored the cocktail sausages in the fridge and had grapes instead.
Margot, when you're ill you need to eat what you fancy.
I'm thinking about buying some weights to tone my upper body. I used to have great arms when I had to carry my dcs around when they were little. I love the trampoline. I jog on it so it's like a step machine. I like the step machine. Also I can watch the gorgeousness that is Josh Holloway in Lost. 😍
Argus, I hope your dad feels better soon.
Anchor I hope you feel better soon after the hospital.
Congratulations Glen and Fizzy!

HerRoyalFattyness · 14/03/2019 20:26

Ive lost 2 of the 3lbs i put back on so pretty happy with that. Im still heading in the right direction overall.

i am having McDonald's tonight though

glenthebattleostrich · 14/03/2019 20:56

Margot, feed a cold. Hope you feel better soon.

Fizzy, that's awesome, well done.

Lemon, your doing brilliantly, you've got this.

Her Royal, hope that's your weekly treat!

Margot33 · 15/03/2019 17:19

Thanks @glenthebattleostrich
I'm feeling alot better today thank you. I'll get back to my exercise tomorrow. I've not done any for two days! ☺

Margot33 · 15/03/2019 17:21

Thank you @Lemonsquinky. Ooh do you enjoy the mini trampoline? I might get one .

Fizzyboo · 15/03/2019 18:13

I love my mini trampoline! I did the equivalent of 5 miles on it yesterday Grin

Margot33 · 15/03/2019 21:00

@Fizzyboo
Wow...5 miles is great. Silly question but do you just bounce or jog or both?
