This morning I hit 16st I am so angry at myself as I worked hard to get down to 9st 10lb three years ago and I've messed it all up by mindlessly eating through boredom since leaving my ex.

So today I've dusted off my old mfp account and I'm starting again. I dont plan to eat diet crap just stick to my calories eating whatever fits in them and trying to walk more. Anyone want to join me?

Spicylolly I've just googled vestibular migraines. They sound awful. I get ordinary migraines. I hope you are feeling better. Thanks

Spicylolly · 06/03/2019 14:35

Thanks lemon, mine aren't painful luckily maybe just a pin picking feeling behind my eyes, a migraine hurts me a lot more but I only get proper migraines a couple of times a year luckily.
My vestibular migraines make me dizzy and feel sick but mostly just no appetite. It's a bit like being inside a huge suffocating heavy duvet and not being able to move and light hurts my eyes, I also can't talk properly...I get all slurry. The only thing that helps is alcohol which is why I ended up drinking far too much.

When I first got them I couldn't even stand up and had to use a walking stick for weeks but I sort of had to retrain my brain to deal with the dizziness, the panic attacks that came with them were the worse though but luckily they are under control now too.

I still randomly fall over now and then though so have to be careful when I start running! ☺

I also have 6 stone to lose. I've been using Exante for the past 5 weeks and have lost 18lbs so far, its been the best diet I've tried so far. Theres also a FB support group which is really helpful when motivation is lacking!

TimeWaitsForNoWoman · 06/03/2019 15:34

So rainy and wet here today so am trapped inside with the baby and can't get my steps up. Annoyed! Trying to keep positive and remember that tomorrow is a new day.

Feeling pretty hungry today but am determined not to let it get to me. Am downing water like there's no tomorrow!

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 06/03/2019 16:35

I'm in, scales this morning said 102.1kg which makes my BMI 36.1 - I have fibromyalgia and loads of arthritis, which is obviously all a lot more painful when the joints are hefting around half as much again of weight Sad.

There's only two things which have helped me lose weight before - v strict Atkins and total meal replacement shakes - so today Mr DPD delivered a month's worth of shakes which I'm starting tonight. I know it's not the most healthiest way to do it, but I'm in too much pain and brainfogged to be able to work out a meal plan, cook every day and at the same time not binge on crap, so I "just" need to accept I'm only having shakes for the next 12 weeks, and drink the 3+ litres of water I need to. I figure once I'm feeling less crap, I'll be in a better position to work out a 1200 cal mealplan I can stick to.

Daily targets are:
drink 3l of water
cycle 20k on the exercise bike (works out as one 45 minute episode of something on Netflix)
get outside for a 30 minute walk

Not quite made it today (currently at 1l of water, but about to get on the bike), but tomorrow is a new day, and everything I can do today is better than I did yesterday.

Hello!
Please can I join the group? I feel like I need to be accountable to someone other than myself.

I am 5ft 2 and 15 stone. The weight had crept up and up since my early 20s. I now feel awful and I have constant joint pain.

I have a big birthday coming up this Summer and marking it by going on an amazing holiday. I do not want to be like this when I go there.

My long term target is 10st which is the what I weighed when I met my DH. I won't be thin, but I will be healthy. Started 5:2 diet last Wednesday and sticking to it so far. It is amazing how many times on a fast day that I absent-mindedly go to taste cooking or hoover up leftovers. I must eat constantly on a normal day.

Want to lose a few pounds first and then I can fit into my gym gear.

glenthebattleostrich · 06/03/2019 19:59

Wow spicy, I'm impressed at the fast. If I go more than a few hours theres a fair chance I'm eating a child!

Workweek challenge sounds good, definitely up for that.

Anyone else want to join in?

Spicylolly · 07/03/2019 07:33

Good morning fat to fitties (luckily I noticed at the last minute my phone changed that to titties pmsl)

What's everyone's healthy plans today?

I'm knackered so actually going to go back to sleep for an hr, proplem with fasting seems to be that it makes you super focussed so when I woke up at 3am my brain pinged to life and wouldn't stop! So a little nap (Im not working today 😊) then I've got some serious food prepping to do for after my fast.
Roasted a chicken yesterday, stripped all the meayboff and used the bones to make about 6 pints of chicken and vegetable broth. Also got my plastic tubs delivered so I can fill them with meals.

I'm really tempted to carry on fasting but I need to look into it more.

Only 1lb to go and I've lost a whopping 14lbs since 1st! A really amazing kickstart to my weightloss.

Spicylolly · 07/03/2019 07:34

*meat off...didn't proof read as good as I thought haha

Worldshohohokayestmum · 07/03/2019 07:36

Can I join? I've just lost my first stone but still have another 6stone to go 😭 feel a bit down about it at the moment because it's such a mountain to climb

vickibee · 07/03/2019 07:37

Hey well done spicy, a whole stone is a bit of a milestone
I woke up also ar 330 am, hungry as hell so I came down and made a cup of Yorkshire tea which eased it somewhat. I took a hot water bottle back to bed and then got up at seven
No change on scales foe me today, just about to get porridge and berries for breakfast and then off to work.

Kukumbr · 07/03/2019 07:42

Hello! I’ll join you all. I have 5 stones to lose. I cannot trust myself to eat ‘intuitively’ or normally or even to guess portion sizes so in order to begin, I’ve decided to start the slimfast 321 plan, with the 1 meal being something pre-portioned such as a weight watchers ready meal, just until I feel more comfortable and confident with portion sizes. I started yesterday and stuck to it all day, so hope I can keep on going. I have a cousin’s wedding in summer and I really don’t want to be the fat cousin there!

glenthebattleostrich · 07/03/2019 08:15

Morning all

Spicy that's amazing, well done. I've lost 7.5 lb since Sunday. Being super strict and eating clean.

Today I have had my bowl of yogurt and blueberries. Need to have some water now. We are at toddlers today with the smalls. The challenge will be not eating all the toast and the biscuits. My husband even noticed I'm less bloated today. 5 days without wheat and I'm fitting my size 16s. At a friend's house tonight and we are doing a kettlebell routine. I need to build this up to a daily thing.

Need to tidy my house today. Don't work Fridays so I like to pretend we don't have 15 kids through the house Monday to Thursday!!!

Saturday is my 'day off'. I'm out Saturday night for drinks and nibbles but am planning the rest of my menu! Pancakes for breakfast, pizza for lunch and drinks and nibbles in the evening (all made with coconut and almond flour so not too bad!)

Have a fab day everyone

SlinkyDinkyDoo · 07/03/2019 08:28

Spicy do you drink tea with milk on your fast or is it strictly water and black tea/coffee?

FaceLikeAPairOfTits · 07/03/2019 08:52

Morning all. Not a great one for me yesterday, I feel a bit intimidated by it all to be honest.

Whenever I've done hardcore stuff like WW in the past I've always given in after 6 weeks, so I know that's not the way to do it. I need to change one habit at a time. Argh.

Spicylolly · 07/03/2019 08:58

I've been drinking tea and coffee as I normally do although you're not supposed to but obviously it hasn't made any difference. I just can't believe I'm not bloody starving, my body is obviously enjoying all my car stores haha...wish I could hibernate and wake up a size 10 in July like bears do 😆

Glen: yes clean eating all the way! Before I broke my ankle I lost 2 stone in about 6 weeks just from cutting out anything processed, I actually ate a lot more than I did when I was overweight previously ☺ it's just a shame real food is so much more costly than processed x

Spicylolly · 07/03/2019 09:02

I think the hardest thing is actually starting the healthy eating, sometimes your just in completely the wrong place. I've known since last summer that I had to get my arse in gear but just couldn't get my head in gear!
I'm there now though so I'm a weight losing demon....My greatest challenge will be keeping it off, that's my downfall everytime. I'm tempted to buy those expensive fitbit scales when I got my target so my weight automatically goes into my account and I can't make excuses.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 07/03/2019 09:14

Hi all, can I join?

I've got 3.3 stone to lose, or thereabouts, 21kg.

I've been doing weights at the gym for the past few weeks and I'm going to add more cardio, and try and get out for a daily walk.

I'd love to have lost the majority for a holiday in mid May but that's only 68 days so I'm not sure how possible that will be.

DP is an amazing cook so the hardest bit is going to be smaller portions!

Fizzyboo · 07/03/2019 09:17

Ooh, I'd like to join if I may?

Hit my heaviest weight now and absolutely gutted. Want to lose 5 stone. Have achieved a big loss before on a slimming world/calorie counting combo so intend to use that method again.

Fed up of starting every morning and blowing it by the evening. No more excuses, I want to be accountable.

I have a Fitbit, absolutely dreadful step count of around 5k a day, need to up this. When I find out my Fitbit name I'll post it here.

Fizzyboo · 07/03/2019 10:03

I am Fizzyboo on Fitbit... do add me if you've got one Grin if for no other reason than to make yerself feel better!

Spicylolly · 07/03/2019 10:04

I'll add you fizzyboo, some of us are doing a challenge next week so I'll invite you 👍

Fizzyboo · 07/03/2019 10:08

Sounds good!

Spicylolly · 07/03/2019 10:10

Anchor you can do it 👍 Weights are fab for weight loss ☺

Margot33 · 07/03/2019 10:28

I threw away all my leggings. I bought a pair of jeans one size too small. It made me feel uncomfortable enough to stop over eating and sit down less. It really works.

Spicylolly · 07/03/2019 10:53

Good idea margot, half my problem is all my clothes are stretchy so I never notice when the weight creeps back on. When I get to target I'll buy some fitted outfits!
