This morning I hit 16st I am so angry at myself as I worked hard to get down to 9st 10lb three years ago and I've messed it all up by mindlessly eating through boredom since leaving my ex.

So today I've dusted off my old mfp account and I'm starting again. I dont plan to eat diet crap just stick to my calories eating whatever fits in them and trying to walk more. Anyone want to join me?

I’ve got six stone to lose too, weight has shot up to a horrendous 16.11 and I feel rubbish all the time. I’m at a hotel this week with work, but will try and make good choices and start food planning properly when I get home. I love the weighted hoop idea!

Spicylolly · 05/03/2019 20:55

Does anyone have a fitbit? We can all join a weekly challenge ☺

glenthebattleostrich · 05/03/2019 21:19

I have a Fitbit. I love doing the challenges.

I think I'm MrsJeffercake on there.

I've logged my food properly today and stuck to 1600 kcal. 3 litres of water too. Feeling pretty pleased.

Off to walk the dog, then bed. Exhausted today.

glenthebattleostrich · 05/03/2019 21:21

How are you doing now Lemons? Well done resisting comfort eating, and even more well done not feeding dog poo to your DH. If it was mine, he'd be eating what he trailed in for tea!!

sunnymornings123 · 05/03/2019 21:41

I have nothing but admiration for all of you. And jealousy. I need to join this thread but I've tried over and over again and nothing works. I WISH I only had 3/4/5 stone to lose.... I think one of my thighs weighs about 5 stone.... I genuinely need to lose around 9/10 stone but am lost SadSad

weechops · 05/03/2019 21:53

Evening all.

I don’t think I can do much exercise for a while. Not that I’ve done much up to now! I’m being referred for a head scan to rule out brain tumours Confused

So I’ve decided to observe Lent properly and give up my triggers which are crisps and chocolate.

Going to just eat more healthily and not eat mindlessly Grin

Eggs for breakfast and I’m looking forward to them Smile

glenthebattleostrich · 05/03/2019 22:52

@sunnymornings123 please follow or join in as you feel able. I can't do this on my own, I've hired a personal trainer who has written a food plan for me. And i have this thread. Can you set a small goal for yourself? Perhaps not even diet related. Juat I'll do a food diary for 3 days. Or go for a short walk each day. Small changes build up to big changes.

Weechops Thanks

StainGlassWindow · 05/03/2019 23:16

So off the wagon yesterday and today! Had an important work test which didn't go down well so I .... ate! Back to full strength tomorrow.
Diet chef is fabulous, I used it a few years ago and lots loads of weight. So convenient but a bit pricey however you pay for the convenience and the food is absolutely lovely! I would defo try it if you could as you see results quite quickly x good luck to all xx

CrazySexyKool · 05/03/2019 23:17

I'll join as well please. I'm 16st and 5"7 tall, i can't believe how much weight I've gained but i had a traumatic experience years ago that led me to hide at home and comfort eat. I want to lose 6st and I've just ordered an Air Exercise Bike to use while i watch TV Smile

glenthebattleostrich · 06/03/2019 07:08

Good morning,

How is everyone this awful wet morning?

I'm feeling very motivated today. Bloody knackered but motivated. I'm a daily weigher and have spent 7 months watching the numbers go up. So Sunday I was 15 stone. Monday 14 11, Tuesday 14 10 and today 14 8.

Being prepared has made all the different. I know it sounds daft but spending half an hour on Monday making up little Tupperware boxes of food has worked.

Hope everyone has a great day

FaceLikeAPairOfTits · 06/03/2019 07:22

Morning all. Eek, I've just weighed in at 15st 7lb. Monster!

I've had a heart breakfast and my plan for this first week is no snacking and no cakes, chocolate or biscuits.

FaceLikeAPairOfTits · 06/03/2019 07:22

Heart? Hearty!

Spicylolly · 06/03/2019 08:42

@glenthebattleostrich I'll try and find you on fitbit ☺

@sunnymornings123 I feel.your pain, when there's so much to lose it feels impossible. Just do one thing different to start and then add to it i.e smaller portions/cut out processed food/ one less snack a day....little things can really kick start it all off. I'm day 5 of a 7 day fast and it's amazing but I did cut down on food the week before and was already eating paleo/no simple carbs/no processed. x

@weechops nothing to say really but sending a virtual hug 😘

I weighed myself this morning and it's another loss, really can't believe how great fasting is! I'm down 12lbs since last Thursday now and not hungry at all and feel amazing.
I was going to just do one week but I can see why people go on to do a whole month.....obviously this is only good for you if you don't have any eating disorders, are reasonably healthy and have a lot of weight to loose. With 6 stone to lose I'm not going to starve to death!....well it's only 5 stone really now woohoo.

Spicylolly · 06/03/2019 09:33

@glenthebattleostrich I've sent a request on fitbit, no worries if you dont fancy accepting.

My user name is Gameface if anyone wants to add me 👍 love my fitbit haha

weechops · 06/03/2019 09:42

@Spicylolly probably a really obvious question here but how are you doing your fast? The only one I’ve heard of is 5:2 so I was going to look into that. But you’re doing a whole week? How??? 😂

glenthebattleostrich · 06/03/2019 09:42

Got it and accepted. I get cross with mine because it doesn't pick up me walking with a pushchair!

Which challenge do you fancy first?

PeachesPlumsPears · 06/03/2019 09:50

May I join too please? I need to lose 2 stone. I'm short so I;m a little roly poly Sad.

I started yesterday - 2 walks a day with my dogs.

berrybonbon · 06/03/2019 10:08

Hi everyone, I'd love to join. Am the heaviest I've ever been at 18 stone, lost 3 stone on slimming world a few years ago but struggled to keep it off. After the birth of my son am determined to get it off this time and keep it off. It's ridiculous I get puffed carrying him upstairs. So calorie counting and lots of walking x

Spicylolly · 06/03/2019 10:08

Weechops: The 7 day fast happened by accident.....I started a morning fast last Monday, I'm never usually hungry in the morning anyway so that suited me. Then I was late having lunch the next couple of days so only had homemade soup for dinner. Friday I came down with vestibular migraine and only forced down salad. Sat I wasn't hungry so didn't say at all (stayed in bed all day) Woke up Sunday feeling a tad better but not hungry so I googled not eating and came across 7 day fasting. So I thought seeing as I hadn't eaten since Friday anyway that I'd keep it up and here I am ☺ I've never not gone a whole day without food before and I'm amazed at how good I feel and the weight loss.
I can see why they say it resets your body.

Glen: workweek challenge for next week? Maybe we can get some other mumsnet dieters on-board too, I love a challenge ☺

I'm low on steps this week as the fasting says no cardio as that makes your body eat into muscle rather than fat but next week when it's finished I want to get out walking more and maybe try a little run (I use that term loosely! Haha) Also want to get back on my elliptical trainer, I actually really enjoy that 👍

vickibee · 06/03/2019 10:15

berrybonbon you sound exactly same as me, i lost 52 pound with WW and put it a;ll back on :(
I feel like I only have to look at food and I gain weight !
Are you doing it yourself this time?

SkinnywannabeKBH · 06/03/2019 10:17

🙋🏼‍♀️ Me. Can I join? I've also started thus morning. I am hovering between 16st 11lbs and 17st and have been for months. No matter how good I am, I sabotage it again and put those pounds back on. I have a wedding in June and I want a couple of stone off at least for that. But in the long run I want down to about 11/12st.
I weighed this morning and am 16st 11lbs and have started with a forever living shake. That will be my breakfast and lunch and then a 500cal meal. I have green veg as my snacks and a small green salad for a lunch.

We can do it ladies.

tinkywinkyshandbag · 06/03/2019 10:31

Me too please! Thanks m 5 foot 4 and 15 stone, very embarrassing and my wardrobe is sooo limited I iterally live in the same pair of jeans. I'm 52 and have arthritic feet, I think if I lose weight it will help my sore feet. I am doing low carb and combining it with restricting my eating to between 12 and 8 in the evening. Feeling lighter but no real change on the scales. Really trying to see this as a long term thing not just short term loss.

FaceLikeAPairOfTits · 06/03/2019 10:50

tinkywinky, you and I are twins! I too am 5'4", have sore feet and a couple of arthritic joints. And a v limited wardrobe, grr.

A friend of mine reduced carbs and it really helped with her arthritis pain after a while, and not just in weight bearing joints.

Lemonsquinky · 06/03/2019 11:17

GrinGlen! He then had a complete tantrum and sulked when I explained my feelings.🙄

I didn't give in to him or wanting to eat, but this morning I couldn't deal with skipping breakfast to save my calories for later, so had a bowl of bran flakes. Anyway the trampoline was excellent but jogging 15:12 stone on it was hard work, but fun. I'm now watching my 600lb life as I find it really comforting to hear other people struggling like me and how they overcome it. I love Dr Nowzaraden as he's kind but tells it straight.

berrybonbon · 06/03/2019 11:47

Vickibee I know it's soul destroying isn't it. Being on mat leave I can't really afford to join SW again, I've got all the books, so am going to try on my own. I think being on this forum will help knowing we're not alone
