This morning I hit 16st I am so angry at myself as I worked hard to get down to 9st 10lb three years ago and I've messed it all up by mindlessly eating through boredom since leaving my ex.

So today I've dusted off my old mfp account and I'm starting again. I dont plan to eat diet crap just stick to my calories eating whatever fits in them and trying to walk more. Anyone want to join me?

Thank you GemmaXOX.Grin

I was thinking about a weighted hula hoop. But I have got a mini trampoline as I like trampolines and it will be good to for ds1 who has sensory integration disorder.

TimeWaitsForNoWoman · 04/03/2019 20:34

Hi guys! Can I join?

I had two pregnancies last year, one ending in miscarriage and basically ate my feelings the whole way through. I am now seven weeks post-birth and horrified to learn that I weigh 18 stone. 18 bloody stone! My aim is to lose 6.5 stone. Still breastfeeding a couple of times a day. Joined slimming world with my husband today; going to go with it but also do low carb as I know that suits my body and I just feel so much better without carbs!

Still intending to have a few proseccos at the weekend, mind...

Iwilldoitthisyr40 · 04/03/2019 21:11

Omg I have a mini trampoline too, I totally forgot about that!! It's down in the summer house will be digging that out too now!!

Iwilldoitthisyr40 · 05/03/2019 07:00

Weigh in this morning at 13st 4.2lb - simply too heavy for my small 5ft 2 frame! LETS DO THIS!!!!

Spicylolly · 05/03/2019 07:47

Ooooh me please (waves arms dramatically)
I'm flipping massive and disgusting! 16s 7lbs last Thursday. I'm 5 ft 8 and officially should be 10 stone, my first target is 12 stone as I'm a happy size 12/14 at that weight....even at a size 10 I weighed 10 ½ stone so 10 I think is a bit low for my height ☺
The weight piled on after a broken ankle, vestibular problems, moving house a long way from where we were before and not working as much (self employed dog walker so have to build up the business again) Mainly fat though because I'm lazy and unmotivated and like to pour gallons of booze down my throat but I've hit my low point and now I'm on the up! So no more excuses!!!!!
I'm fasting until Friday, doing 7 days. It's amazing and never thought I'd not be able to not eat let alone stay off the booze, I've lost about 10lbs since starting.

I'll be eating paleo/low carb and lifting more weights when the fast is up.

Good luck everyone x I find a lot of motivation on Instagram looking at the accounts of people who have lost massive amounts of weight, really gets my head in the right place 👍👍👍

Nishky · 05/03/2019 07:53

Can I join if I am not weighing myself- feel like I have messed up my head with constant weighing

I lost 4 stone on Slimming World and out it all back on. I am aiming to go from 18 to a 12. I am starting with a size 16 skirt which I try on once a month.. on Saturday the zip moved a little which it hadn’t in January and February. I am aiming to start running at the end of March and am aiming to walk for 30 mins three times a week until then

Nothingoriginalhere · 05/03/2019 08:21

Just weighed myself, 13st 10lb and as I'm only 5f3 1/2 - that's way too big.
( it's also 5lbs more than last week!!!!)
So actually that makes it more.like 4 1/2 -5 stone I need to lose :-(
Right off for a walk .......

Foxyscarf · 05/03/2019 08:24

I'm in. Gained 3st during pregnancy on top of 13st...

glenthebattleostrich · 05/03/2019 09:37

Weighed myself this morning, 14st 9lb.

I go on holiday in 6 weeks, I want to have lost 1 stone by then.

I'm doing myself. A reward chart, just like I do for children.

So

Log food for 1 week = nails done
4 X 30 minutes exercise for 2 weeks = hair cut
Lose 1/2 stone = hair treatment
Lose 1stone = massage
Complete food log and exercise for 4 weeks = foot treatment with pedicure
Lose 1.5 stone = treat meal at favourite restaurant
Lose 2 stone = spa day

My first target is 2 stone loss by June. Then a new treat package!

Along side the food and exercise I'm doing a bit of princessing too. Moisturising daily, make up on a morning, looking more put together. So a total overhaul to get back to how I was before I had my daughter.

This year I'm investing in me. Because I deserve to feel good and being healthy makes me feel good.

Right I think I have everyone, Sorry again if i've missed anyone (let me know)

How did everyones day go yesterday? Ready for a new day!?

Hows everyone started today? I Stupidly skipped breakfast before work and I'm currently in a staring contest with the office digestives until lunch! Smile

GemmaXOX · 05/03/2019 09:39

@glenthebattleostrich woo go you!

That sounds like a great idea! I struggle with motivation, reckon that would work for me too!

glenthebattleostrich · 05/03/2019 09:47

Thanks @GemmaXOX

Yes, it's all about motivation for me and like a toddler I need a nice reward for my efforts!!

Woke up starving this morning, but worked out I had about 1500 calories less than. 'normal' yesterday and Sunday. Tired too, woke up for the look twice in the night. Bloody water.

GemmaXOX you can beat the biscuits, they are evil (and not in a fit Loki from the avengers kind of way!!)

RubySlippers77 · 05/03/2019 10:02

Lovely idea with the chart glen! My DC are rewarded with those magazines which cost £££ and give them 10p's worth of plastic tat, they LOVE them. Some great ideas there for grown up treats Grin

Weighed myself this morning, 13st 3. So not as bad as I feared - I've lost 6lb since Jan 1st - but not exactly amazing weight loss as I have 3st more to go. If I lose 1lb a week I'll be thin for Christmas.....

vickibee · 05/03/2019 10:06

I have a holiday booked in August and I want to wear my swimsuit without looking and feeling like a beached whale. I want to not have to ask for a seatbelt extension on the plane
The scales were kind to me this morning showing 1.5 pounds less :)
I had a good day yesterday and ate a vegan diet all day (i am not vegan) so loads of veg and fruit about 1200 cals in total but I am starving today and my lunch already looks tempting LOL
I too struggle with motivation and long for crisps

sugarbum · 05/03/2019 11:14

I failed miserably today. I stayed in a b&b last night with my youngest, and caved in at breakfast and had eggs benedict.
I also have a dodgy hip at the moment ( I feel like I'm falling apart in general) so I've been limping everywhere for the last two months and can't do my dance class at the moment.
I have a plan which involves buying a punch bag for the garage so I can do boxing workouts. But I have to treat the garage floor first because its a dust haven. Which means I have to clear out the garage. With gammy hip.
Anyway. I am not going to write off today. It was just breakfast. I shall log it on mfp and just get on with the rest of the day.

I'm loving your idea!

Shostakobitch · 05/03/2019 13:12

@sugarbum a bad day is ok and you've got the right idea of logging it and moving on. You can do it!

I'm 5lb down this week which is awesome, but I know the first week is usually mostly water and it's not going to be every week 🙈

Hoping to stick to my SW routine but have had a bad day mental health wise and haven't left the house today so no exercise yet. Going to try and get out for a walk later. Good luck everyone!

glenthebattleostrich · 05/03/2019 13:34

One bad meal doesn't make a bad day. Call it this week's treat meal and move on.

Shostakobitch, is there anything we can do to help. Do you need to offload? Feel free to PM me. So you don't exercise today, there are 6 more days you can. Don't forget you can't overdo it otherwise it's not sustainable.

seventy5days · 05/03/2019 17:05

I have a broken leg at the moment and am likely to be non-weight bearing for another 4 weeks. So I've got to focus on food rather than food and exercise.

Like most of us, I suspect, there's not a diet I haven't tried at one time or another. What I do know works for me best is losing the fluffy carbs. So I have borrowed a Blood Sugar Diet recipe book from my neighbour and am sitting down to work out a meal plan from there.

Anyone else looking to control carbs as part of their journey?

Lemonsquinky · 05/03/2019 17:27

Glen, I've given myself a reward plan too! If I can stick to my diet for four weeks I can buy myself a new watch. My mini trampoline arrived today. Also I had to do something I didn't want to today (like counselling,) and dh walked dog poo in the house and left it on the mat in the sitting room and went to work and lied about doing it. I had a panic attack. But I didn't comfort eat.
Iwilldoitthisyr40, I'm going to make the mini trampoline this evening!!!Grin

Katbridaldilemma · 05/03/2019 17:29

HI can I join please?

I desperately need the motivation but don't have anyone IRL to talk to and encourage me/keep me accountable! I'm getting married next year and want to TTC soon after so am hoping to get myself down to a healthy BMI which means 5 stone loss (currently 14st 4lbs but am VERY short).

PLAN:
Exercise - Hill walking, exercise biking (had one in the garage for years...) and possibly jogging with a friend once I've built up a bit of fitness
Food - Going for 1600 calories per day (MFP recommendation), not cutting any food groups out but will try to avoid fizzy drinks, sweets/chocolate and crisps. I am going to try to eat at regular times and plan for snacks, because I know myself and I always snack. I eat out fairly often with friends so will be looking up good options and not using it as an excuse to 'cheat' EVERY time!
Mindset - I want to take it very slowly and not make it a huge pressure on myself. If everyone else is having cake and I want some, I'll have a piece but just a smaller one. Etc. Just not all the time.

FaceLikeAPairOfTits · 05/03/2019 17:33

Hello! Another porker here! I too am aiming for 10 stone and am currently at least 15st 4lb. Will get on the scales tomorrow.

I'm going to start with cutting out chocolate, cake and biscuits, and see where I go from there.

Whatififall · 05/03/2019 17:44

Can I join in?

I hit 17 stone this morning. I’m 5ft7. I had been daily tracking with mfp and Happy Scale (daily weigh-in app) and lost 16lbs last summer. This morning marked all 16lbs back on.

I need to write a food plan and prep. There are no excuses or reasons. I’m just lazy. Too lazy to prep. Too lazy to exercise. I’m planning to use the next 3 weeks to get into a healthy meeting mindset then maybe start exercise in April. I know from experience I lose interest quicker if I start too gung-ho.
