That's still a really good loss, deegward, well done! I am feeling a bit bored with SW today--but have promised to cook dinner tonight. Anyone got any inspiring syn-free green ideas? I've already had my healthy extras and am sick of pasta...

Kayleigh · 17/09/2004 18:46

fave green meal is eggs, beans and sin-free chips. Or quorn sausages and chips.

Arabica · 17/09/2004 19:24

Egg 'n' chips - great idea! Thanks a lot.

Kayleigh · 18/09/2004 16:49

How were the egg & chips arabica ?

Am having a red day today and been good so far. Cod fillets for supper with jacket pot and grated cheese plus broccoli. Am saving all my sins for a glass of wine and some chocolate in front of the telly tonight.

How's the weekend going for everyone. Do you find it harder or easier at the weekend ?

lilibet · 18/09/2004 17:15

I'm having a really bad few days, eating everything I can lay my hands on. Even stole some of ds2's smarties

I know that I want to be thinner, hate the soft squodgy bit round my middle so why won't I stick to a diet for more than a few weeks?

Someone else plesae tell me that they do this too?

deegward · 18/09/2004 17:56

Having people for lunch tomorrow - well I'll cook them food not literally - so I have made;

Red Pepper Soup
Chicken stuffed with quorn & spinach, served with Aspargus, baby carrots, baby courgettes
Goes wrong here.....

Summer Berrie Millie Feuille ala Delia

Oh well if I stuff myself for the first two courses, I'll just have a sliver.... maybe. Being good today to try to compensate

deegward · 18/09/2004 17:57

Lillibet, get some free snack lying around esp grapes, I feel the sugar rush in them helps, It will get better, don't dwell on the bad days only think of the good days you are going to have

dibooth · 18/09/2004 23:28

Thanks, thanks thanks for encouragement! Wiil cehck into SW as they hold a meeting pretty close to my work...! Will let you know how I get on adn of course ask for tips!!!

Shiraz · 19/09/2004 12:05

Hi ladies,

Okay i am starting SW tommorow, at home!As i said on an ealier post i lost 2.5 stones in 6 months upto May 03 and then found out i was pg with now 8 month old dd! My pitfalls are Wine and cheese, although i'll do what i did before and only drink on a Saturday and really enjoy my cheese when i have it!

Good luck to all of you, i really really am going to try this time! My first goal is a pair of size 14 Jeans, that argos additions sent me instead of a 16, and i never sent them back! I'm going to hang them on the back of my bedroom door so i see them every morning i wake up! My goal is to reach about 10.5 stone, or even a curvaceus and sexy size 12 i once was!, i'm now 13.5 after having dd !

I l;ove pasta and pots it's just thinking of nrew and exciting ways to eat them, red days are never a problem for me as i have so many ideas!

Take care and good luck girlies!

P.s can anyone tell me the slimming wolrd password fro the website??

Becs xx

Arabica · 19/09/2004 13:13

Hi everyone. Kayleigh, I made potato, sweet potato and carrot chips and they were fab. Lilibet, grapes really do help especially if you freeze them first! Also have you tried the Muller Light 'ice-cream' recipe? It's on the website, but basically, you mix a pot of ML with some no-fat fromage frais and some artificial sweetener and put it in the freezer--just keep stirring it up every hour or so and that way you can avoid ice crystals forming. If you can't wait til it's all frozen it doesn't matter, still tastes good. I also make sure I have tons of fruit in the house so that when I need to eat I can tell myself I want apples not crisps or chocolate (which I never keep in the house, if DS wants crisps we buy them one packet at a time due to my lack of willpower)

Christie Dont give up.

Idealy you are only supposed to lose between 1-2lbs everyweek so that you keep it of.

Buy half a pound of lard wrap it in clingfilm and put it in fridge. everytime you feel down about weight loss. Look at it. this is what half a pound of fat looks like. Squidge it up so that it looks worse.

Kayleigh · 21/09/2004 10:09

christie, alized is right, you musn't give up. Think how well you have done over all - not just one bad week. Am sure it'll be ok next week. We will just have to share a pud on thursday night instead of one each

Kayleigh · 21/09/2004 10:10

oh, also meant to sat Christie, that I am same. Weight is very slow coming off. Think it is an age thing with me - metabloism slows up as you reach your (ahem!) late twenties

Alized · 21/09/2004 10:30

Hi to everyone this morning hope you are all sticking to your diets.

Been good so far. Keep thinking of that little dress for xmas

Furball · 21/09/2004 11:09

Christie - I know it may sound stupid, but are you sure you are eating enough? I was told to eat as much free food as possible to stop your body thinking it is on rations. I don't think the word 'deprive' should exist on SW. Just a thought, but try and stick with it.

Kayleigh · 21/09/2004 13:50

I did it ! Lost another pound and am now the proud owner of a lovely red 1/2 stone sticker

Furball, those are definitely the words every dieter wants to hear "Are you eating enough" !

Arabica · 21/09/2004 21:29

Lost another pound, shame I didn't make it to that stone sticker, which is what I wanted in time for my b'day, but am well pleased nevertheless and hopefully my trousers will fit comfortably enough so that i don't have to attend b'day tea in my knickers. Good luck to everyone else and well done Kayleigh for that sticker.

Good luck for your weigh-in Christie. It's horrible when the scales give you bad news. My weight seems to fluctuate enormously but I definitely need to exercise (cycling for 30 mins, at least 4 times a week) in order to see a loss, no matter that some people in my class don't seem to do anything more than walk to their cars and still lose weight! Grrr! What kinds of exercise are other people doing? Anyone tried a pedometer?

lilibet · 22/09/2004 12:53

I do no exercise at all, am full of good intetnions but nothing ever lasts - much like dieting really! I have once again stuck, which is a bit of a miracle with the amount taht I have eaten.
So today is the first day of the rest of my diet!

Starting afresh and am going to post what I eat (and drink ) each day on here in order to help me (if no one minds!) and it may give others ideas for green meals/snacks

and I promise to be honest!

Kayleigh · 22/09/2004 13:55

lilibet am glad you are pleased with your weigh-in. I am another one who does no excercise. I am lazy and will always park the car as close to where I need to be as possible to avoid any extra walking. Saying that I have always lost weight through diet alone. I would like to tone up a bit though but just can't find the time. Maybe if I spent less time on here ? NOOOOOOOO.
Oh and I would love to see what you eat everyday !!
