So this time i am setting a challenge for anyone that wants to join me.

So i set you this challenge to loose 1 stone by xmas which is approx 15/16 weeks away which by loosing a 1lb a week is very achievable.

So wether your going to class or doing it yourself please come and join us.

Put on five f pounds. Although I am obviously disappointed, it has been a very stressful time and I can see why it happened (and may well happen again). Have decided not to dwell on it though. I am treating this week as though it was my first and am going to do my best to keep my hands off that cheese! Hope everyone else has more luck at the scales than I did.

helsi · 08/09/2004 08:04

I'm already a member but will defo try and do the stone by Xmas. Didn't go this week as knew I'd been naughty...very naughty but I'm hopefully back on track.

lilibet · 08/09/2004 09:14

I am on a green day and at this very moment am tucking into a salad with hard bolied egg, grated cheese, kidney beans, sweetcorn & capers. With fat free french dressing of course(yuk).

what are you having for lunch today laydeez ?

Arabica · 08/09/2004 19:05

I had a tomato and onion omelette with salad. It was in a cafe, but omelettes aren't usually cooked with lots of fat, I'm told; and for dinner we are having fish done in the oven with veg. And so far today I have had no cheese whatsoever--even when making cheese-filled bagel for DS.
Well done for the 3lb loss Lilibet!

fairydust · 08/09/2004 19:31

Arabica - could you not cut down on the amount of cheese you buy - so that's there just enough for whats needed to and none left over for you.

OP posts:
Arabica · 08/09/2004 20:31

Yes, good idea re cheese-purchasing. Because I'm eating for comfort rather than taste, however, if there isn't any cheese in fridge I will simply go for something else, so what I've done is buy in lots of syn-free things to keep readily available. Fruit, cottage cheese etc.

Kayleigh · 09/09/2004 18:16

i do, i do...
hang on i'll find it....

Kayleigh · 09/09/2004 18:17

here you go honey ....

Dried lasagne leaves
Fry Light
Cajan spice
Lightly cook the lasagne in boiling water until just soft. Drain, dry and cut into triangles. Spray a baking tray with Fry Light, lay the lasagne triangles onto the baking tray and dust with cajan spice.
Bake at 200 C until crisp.Take care! they burn easily
Serve with garlic fromage frais

Kayleigh · 09/09/2004 19:01

this is a good one too for a green day (sin free)

Chick pea mock peanuts.
Open a can of chick peas and drain.
Spread out on a baking sheet, sprinkle over spices (I've used paprika, cajan spices, morrocan spices, garam masala - not all at the same time!)
Cook in a oven at 200 or mark 6 for about 1/2 hour, until dry and hard, a bit like peanuts.
Keep them in a airtight box.

Make these and the tortillas and have yourself a party

fairydust · 10/09/2004 14:07

we'll then ladies any plans for the weekend??

We've having a big roast dinner sunday so am planning on going green so i can have lots of mash n roasts n roasted parsnips

OP posts:
deegward · 10/09/2004 14:27

i'd never heard of the tortillas things before, definately going to try this weekend. Really trying hard, so have had only one bourbon, & one ginger snap at coffee time, rather than handful. Think will go green this weekend, so will make the tortilla things and dippy things to snack on. Stir fry for tonights tea, soup (lentil homemade) for lunch tomorrow, quorn chilli, and then roast on Sunday. Sorted

Christie, our local butcher does sin free sausages and burgers too. The sausgaes were ok. Dh didn't even realise they were sin-free ones but he didn't like the burgers. To be honest nor did I much !

Have had a good weekend. Managed to stay away from the cakes and goodies at the picnic yesterday at Coram Field. Stuck to chicken, tomatoes and melon. Very boring . Just had ryvita and cheese for supper as had been picking at fruit all afternoon.

Today went to my mums for lunch and she made a roast chicken etc so was easy to stick to a red day. Just a snack again tonight as ate loads lunch time.

Everybody else doing ok ???

fairydust · 13/09/2004 22:29

how is everyone????
