Hi all, haven't been here for some time. Blush
Ready to get cracking again.
Happy 2019!

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 06/01/2019 22:07

Hi leesmum. You'll have that off in no time I bet. I know what you mean though. Those first few are really noticeable. My 7lb is 100% of the weight that makes me overweight.

Welcome back stellar too.

readyforsunshine · 06/01/2019 22:58

Hello again (that time of year!)
Been awol & put on a stone. Wasn’t a very regular poster but have dipped in & out to follow for inspiration.
Am back on it & feeling strong.

poorpaws · 06/01/2019 23:42

Hi everyone, I’m back! I’ve put on a tremendous amount of weight since June and I’m about as heavy now as I’ve ever been so starting tomorrow I’m back on it.

Nice to see some of my Fitbit friends on here. I’ve now got a new Fitbit after losing my old one so I’ll be back tomorrow.

Good luck to everyone starting again.

Autumnnymph · 07/01/2019 05:31

Hello all - am back! Landed yesterday evening and very jet lagged but. On it from today. Weighed in now and the scales show 58.1 kg which is a gain of 1.2 kgs over the holiday period which isn’t much but definitely shows.

My aim is to kick that off this week and end January at 56 kgs. Not very ambitious but that this level every kg seems to take ages to go. My aim for 2019 is to hit 52 kgs and stay stable on that.

As am up so early I am going to fit in a long walk this morning to clear my head and celebrate being back home.

Simonsaysitschristmas · 07/01/2019 07:12

I have just weighed and I’m about 4lbs down from last week which is good and back to my pre-Christmas weight.

Need to get some new scales though because my manual ones are hard to read!

Autumnnymph · 07/01/2019 07:31

Jetlag is making me hungry! I have made a big pot of quinoa Pulav with losds of veggies and tofu for added protein.

That is going to be my breakfast and lunch today and am back to 16:8 from today. Fruits and nuts are on the ready for snakxing . After the food excesses of the last 3 weeks my body is actually excited about normal, healthy food.

Welcome back ready, paws and autumn. Nice to see the thread getting busier again.

I've had a less than golden weekend. Meals have been ok but we still have remnants of Christmas chocolate around so I've been picking a bit.

Back on it today. Hoping to lose 1-2 lb this week.

Jet lag is a killer when you’re trying to eat well, in fact any tiredness makes it near impossible for me autumnymph.
Hello paws! Did you get your garden finished last summer?
I’ve done my toneitup daily moves, planned my weeks menu & signed back up with MyFitnessPal to try to keep on track. I have a quiet work week which makes things a lot easier to stick to. Have a good day everyone!

Autumnnymph · 07/01/2019 09:31

@readyforsunshine yes! Tiredness is a killer for me too - am hoping that having pre cooked all my meals for today while I had the energy will help me stick to sensible choices. Fingers crossed.

Hi Paws and Sunshine :-)

Hi to new faces to me but you've all probably been here ages Blush

Meal plan done, weights sessions booked and no booze!

fishonabicycle · 07/01/2019 12:49

Hi all - don't post often but love reading this thread ... I stopped using mfp for a while in about September, and have put on 2-3 kilos since then, so back to 1400 calories per day (I'm pretty small - only a teeny bit over 5 foot) so I feel those kilos. Back to no added sugar and no snacks ...

Hoolahoophop · 07/01/2019 14:38

May I return, I fell completely off the wagon for a variety of reasons but am back and looking to be better in 2019.

Lowest with you guys in the summer was 122lb. weighed in at 134 this morning, looking to get down to 112 by June. Its an ambitious goal for me but I am determined and DH is also trying to loose at the moment which helps.

Last week I batch cooked lots of lovely soup for my lunches and we are aiming to eat veggie and fish a couple of time a week. I am hoping that a refresh of the dinners will help us focus on healthy.

The rowing machine is going to be dusted off and DH and I will try to help each other find the time to actually use it.

No calorie counting this time, just trying to eat smart and reduce portion sizes.

lastqueenofscotland · 07/01/2019 17:46

Hoola are you very short? That sounds really low

Hoolahoophop · 07/01/2019 19:27

Last. Yep. Tiny, under 5ft. Pre children I was a healthy weight, looked healthy and was very fit at another half stone under my current target but I doubt I'll ever manage that again. Smile

Autumnnymph · 08/01/2019 06:58

Weighed in at 57.4 this month so thats 0.7 kgs off! Must have been jetlag bloat for the most part and clean eating the past few days. Still quite jetlagged and up at 4:30 again today with DD. I have cooked all my meals for the day and planned my meals for the day as that helped me yesterday.

Breakfast is savoury oats with loads of veggies.
Lunch is spinach dal and rice with a carrot salad on the side.
Have grapes and nuts for snacks.

I will also be fitting in a 5k walk along with the school drop off.

readyforsunshine · 08/01/2019 08:07

Really well done autumnymph, that’s a quick bounce back.
I’m down 4.6lb after my first week, history tells me it will now be a long slow slog😩
I am aiming for a minimum 1lb a week & will be happy with that.
Did day 1 of Adriennes yoga last night, got another quiet day today so just catching up at home.

Autumnnymph · 08/01/2019 08:48

@readyforsunshine - ah for now the next stone will be slow and painful. I am going to need all the support and occasional kick up the arse this year to meet my target.
While i am already a "healthy" weight i am on the higher side of the BMI range and with a family history of diabetes been told it would be awesome if i lost another few pounds.
Where do you do Adrienne's yoga? I want to give it a go as well?

Also lovely Slenderistas have any of you tried Slimming world? thoughts on it?

readyforsunshine · 08/01/2019 08:55

I signed up for the January 30 days & she sends daily emails with links. It’s only 30mins so very doable. She has lots on YouTube but I think I found the link to the latest one on a yoga thread on here🙂

HairsprayBabe · 08/01/2019 09:55

Morning all,

Yesterdays kick start into Egg week went well - weighed in at 10st dead - and also got AF so some is bloat (hopefully)

Yesterday had:
x2 crispy fried eggs for breakky - fried until the edges go all crispy and brown with some tobacco
x2 egg and cheese "muffins" for lunch
x2 egg omelette with wholegrain mustard and cheese for dinner

Plus tea (I only have a very diddy splash of milk) lemsips and some psyilluim husk powder.

Trying to hold of weighing until Friday

DP is also doing egg diet - plus some extra meat - is not enjoying it at all but it was his idea as he is constantly complaining about gaining a bit of weight XD

fishonabicycle · 08/01/2019 11:17

Hurrah! Another shrimp! Hi hoola - I'm just over 5 foot, and any excess weight really shows. My fighting weight is around 46 kilos ( I stopped using stones ).

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 08/01/2019 12:03

I'm doing yoga with Adrienne too. I'm up to date. Started on 2nd Jan. I'm loving it. I've never done yoga before and always thought I'd find it too "woo" but it's great. I'm a convert.

The core one yesterday was hard though.

Not much movement on the scales again but I don't care as long as I creep down enev 1lb a week.

lastqueenofscotland · 08/01/2019 12:06

Had a golden (for me) day yesterday and currently on track for today.... fingers crossed.

Simonsaysitschristmas · 08/01/2019 12:24

Managed to have a low cal breakfast and lunch but my motivation is faltering. Hmm hoping I can just stick out this afternoon, work out straight after and hope that kick starts my determination and motivation to shift this weight!
