Last year I was gutted at being 13st.

I'm now 17st 2lbs.

I've done nothing but emotionally eat all year, fuelled by depression and anxiety. To the point where I've become mildly agoraphobic.

This has got to be the year I turn my life and poor eating habits around.

I don't know where to start.

I know the title is quite harsh but I've been telling myself it's not so bad.

But it is.

I'm fat. Very fat. And I need to correct it.

For people weighing at home - how much variance do you see if you move your scales to different areas?? I moved mine from Lino floor to tiled floor and apparently that was enough to make me put a stone on!!!!!!

They have gone back to the Lino floor obviously 😂😂

Mine can vary from spot in the living the room! I try to avoid tiles & carpet.

Update from me. I've just finished my 8 weeks on the blood sugar diet and have lost a 24 pounds. Highly recommend. Feeling very demoralised about how much I have left to loose though.

@howhowhow

That's amazing 😱 I've achieved a stone in that time! I think I need to switch. I have 5 more to go. We can do this!

Candace I really recommend. It's dealt with my chronic overeating so I do think I can solve this problem. It's such a slow process if you have a lot of weight to lose though. I weigh daily and that is keeping me on track though.

Update on the personal trainer!

I've been seeing him twice a week since 20th December, he's given me a couple of routines to do in the gym on top of seeing him.

Well I have lost 6 lb which isn't brilliant but my shape has changed completely, I have a waist and definition in my arms , shoulders and legs!

Still eating 1700 calories a day and best of all I have my love of the gym back!
I'm super happy and will continue with him for a couple more months I think, as I'm getting stronger he's pushing me harder and I think another 8 weeks will make a world of difference!

WW's online (digital) membership is absolutely brilliant. Their app is unbelievably good - intuitive, simple and fun to use. There is a huge online community on it that you can use, or ignore!

You track your food (it's so easy) and there are loads and loads of recipes in there for everything from fancy dinners to simple snacks, cakes and biscuits. It has a scanned function so you can scan the barcode of any food and immediately know how many points it has, and track it - it put it back. 😆

People on there have lost 100lbs and more. It works with a family or if you're by yourself. I honestly couldn't recommend it enough. The app is life-changing.

They're doing a deal at the moment where you can sign up for 3 months today and pay just £1 for this month. The next two months are about £20 each.

I can send you a "friend code" and if you use it when you join, well both get 1 month free. So you'd get 4 months for around £41.

You could easily be under 16 stone by New Years Eve.

That's what I'd do. Slimming World is fine too but they don't have an app that's anywhere near as good.

Another vote for WW online Annuva. I thought I would hate it, the App thing, etc etc, but its great, so flexible and simple too. I am a bit amazed to be losing weight tbh. I eat healthily anyway I thought, and ran out of things to do to try and lose weight, was getting very frustrated. But WW seems to be working where lower carb, IF, and calorie counting didn't! It feels sort of calm and clear like someone has thought this through for me :).
