Anyone in?

Im doing dry jan which will help, better meal planning, and upping the water intake. No official "plan" in mind yet but will look to choosing one soon.

Im weighing in Jan1st, currently just shy of 14stone. I need to hit 9 1/2 to hit a healthy BMI.

new don’t be discouraged- it is a bumpy loss sometimes and tomorrow may well be totally different weight wise. The smallest thing can make you bloat and then a few days later it has gone again and you drop more

Thanks for the support. I’m hoping to see the scale move soonish. Good thing about this is that I have blocked nose and sore throat so I don’t even want to eat anything, everything tastes bland and it’s difficult to eat anyway without feeling like choking 😁 We have loads of sweets in the house and I have no trouble turning them round. That’s a first 👍🏻

I'm trying to avoid the scales until weigh in day as I get so discouraged if I haven't lost the "right" amount and it sends me into a tailspin. I'm better just trucking along in ignorance. Dying to know though.

Snacks wise, I like the paleo bars they do at the tills in Aldi. Just dates and nuts, no processed sugar. I'm using them for real junk food withdrawal emergencies so haven't had one yet this round, but they are yummy.

New don't be discouraged, our body often replaces fat with water when we lose weight, and only releases it at later point when it realises that fat isn't coming back. Which is why it's so common not to see any weight loss on scales for a while and then lose several pounds overnight.

Having said that, looks like I've lost another 2lbs, although I'm sure some of it will come back over the weekend. I hope not.

Can someone add me to the spreadsheet? I can't edit it. My starting weight was 11.2, so 156lbs

I second the Aldi Paleo bars, really yummy and were a lifesaver when I was a paleo & CrossFit health nut - pregnancy has a lot to answer for!

This morning i weighed myself and i haven't lost anything which is very discouraging, but i am feeling very bloated . Interesting about the water retention mentioned above, I'm hanging onto to the hope that is it and I will suddenly show a weight loss. If I don't lose weight well the first couple of weeks I give up. I am not weighing anything , it's just too difficult. Just going by how I feel really.

Could I be added to the spreadsheet to please? I started at just over 13 stone on the 1st.

Had a sneaky weigh in too. Down 2 lbs (of bloat). Gives me a wee boost for the weekend (DANGER 🚨)

Hungry this morning though - 16:8 will have to wait until next week. Off to make some porridge.

I am in!

I need to lose 6 st. The past couple of years have been rough with a move from the US to the UK and dealing with multiple health issues (rheumatic and mental health). I have been on steroids and other meds that have made me pile on the pounds even more. I need to stop this evil cycle.

I haven't decided if I should low carb or just count calories and eat sensible. Either way I am starting with just entering what I am eating into the MyFitness App today.
