Hi bogie. All are welcome here. Try my ice lolly thing (see a bit further down) for your sweet tooth. Takes ages to eat as well

Morning all

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I last posted on friday but didn't stick to my plan for the day

Was very hormonal(af) and decided to pamper myself whilst dd was away for the weekend and dp working so I've done nothing in the way of exercise for the whole weekend......

.....BUT on the upside, I weighed myself and am now 13st3lb so lost another 3lbs in the last week....woohoo!

Good start to today, weetabix and semi-skimmed. Plan to exercise in the afternoon.

Have a good day everyone

RnBee · 25/06/2007 11:04

Can I join you. I am feeling unhealthy, bloated and flabby and want to lose around 7lb.

Breakfast:
glass of warm water with lemon
smoothie made from 1 small pot 0%fat greek yogurt blended with 4 strawberries a handful or grapes, a banana and some strawberries and a splash of fresh orange juice (yummy!)

Am still pretty full.

Am going to try to do 100 sit ups today.

curiouscat · 25/06/2007 11:07

Marymoo you've inspired me. I'm going for a weekly weigh at home instead of constantly beating myself up with morning weighs. But be honest, if I drink 2 litres of water a day, (I'm trying to anyway) doesn't that affect the result? Advice wanted please!

I really admire people who don't snack. But I have breakfast at 630am and with a gym session at 1230 I'd faint if I didn't eat something beforehand. But I avoid those packs of nuts as I tend to hoover the lot with no reduction in appetite

marymoocow · 25/06/2007 11:14

Curious cat - what do you mean by affect the results. The water just fills you up (and there's no calories in water as far as i know). I have read somewhere ( i'm good at that) that it is a chemical in the brain that makes you think you are hungry when in fact it is dehydration.

You do however spend more time on the loo, it is a fact

I'm still feeling guilty about all these people that are going to the gym and exercising. I have neither the inclination or the time unfortunately for that atm.

AbRoller · 25/06/2007 11:15

Hi curious, I've just been told today that I should be drinking at least two litres of water a day for skin, detox etc. Aparently if we don't drink enough our bodies retain water (weight) but if we drink plenty we don't retain and and feel puffy. Someone else will no doubt be able to explain that a whole lot better but hope it helps a little for now

AbRoller · 25/06/2007 11:16

Also agree with Mary, I've heard that about water too. Hunger is sometimes dehydration.

onechild · 25/06/2007 11:19

i would like to join you all in weightloss! but am currently sat eating tub triple ice cream so dont think that helps!!

marymoocow · 25/06/2007 11:21

put it down, you'll lose instant weight ( i'm sure it must be fairly heavy)

curiouscat · 25/06/2007 11:50

All I was thinking is that water's heavy, and adds weight to me if not all been through my system yet. I totally agree it's great at filling you up. My kids' school gives them reusable water bottles as dehydration affects their concentration etc, must be same for us parents too.

Marymoo I know I'm lucky going to gym, there's a cheap one near my office and I go at lunch times with a friend. But it does make me hungrier, so is a mixed blessing.

Sleepy I agree with you about low fat choc drinks, I get sachets and one or two gets me through the afternoon if I'm lucky. I believe in not denying my sweet tooth too much otherwise I'm too quick to dive for the chocolate etc.

marymoocow · 25/06/2007 11:55

obviously with the excitement of this i forgot to put the potato on, so not sure what lunch will be. Oh well...........

marymoocow · 25/06/2007 12:07

for those of you with snacking issues, i have also read that upping your calcium intake is good because it absorbs fat (or something like that). So low fat cheese - in moderation of course - or some laughing cow triangles (low fat again) are good.

Works for me because i get to sneak into the fridge and steal one of my ds's "cow cheese", and feel like i'm being naughty.

Not chocoalte i know but i've persuaded myself that it might be the same.

Oh for anyone worried about my lunch i've just found some pasta that i can have.

Right off now, so i can't bore anyone else.

Have a good rest of the day will catch up tomorrow

curiouscat · 25/06/2007 14:05

Hi, just had my tuna s/w. Already nervous about making it through to 5pm (in office) without anything to eat. Not very busy so not much to think about. Would love to hear from anyone?

onechild · 25/06/2007 14:44

No my tub triple choc ice cream tiny tub and was just finishing the reminents,
I generally dont have probs with snacking i find my prob is eating to close to bedtime and not enough exercise!

Shoshable · 25/06/2007 16:34

If I dont drink two litres a day I dont lose as much weight, amd doing WW and drinking at least 2 litres (tesco flavoured fizzy water takes the edge off sugar cravings) on average I am losing 4/5 lbs a week.

AbRoller · 25/06/2007 16:40

wow Shoshable, that's fantastic. You're only doing WW? I'm only allowed 20 points pd and finding it hard, the water might help....

Shoshable · 25/06/2007 18:42

Ab im only allowed 23 but usually only make about 18, the water fills me up no end.

AbRoller · 25/06/2007 18:54

I found it great today, very surprised. 18 points? - I'm not sure I could do that. Do you eat lots of 0point food? I'm so sick of tomato and cucumber

Shoshable · 25/06/2007 19:00

Ab had 16 so far today

Pk Oats so simple (golden syrup) 2.0
250mls O.J 1.0
1/4 semi skinned 0.5

WW pate 1.0
4slices WW Bread 2.0
LF Gold 0.5
Salad 0.0

Lamb Chop 3.5
New Potatoes 1.0
Carrots 0.0
Peas 0.0
Brocalli 0.0
Gravy 0.5

AbRoller · 25/06/2007 19:10

Well done, that sounds healthy and filling with very little points for one day.

I think I need to be a little more adventurous with my cooking. Have the ww recipe books and should start using them. I'm hopeless when it comes to cooking so I tend to stick to the reliables and I'm now finding it a bit boring I suppose.

Must hit the treadmill shortly. Catch up tomorrow

marymoocow · 25/06/2007 20:43

well dinner tonight was breast of chicken filled with laughing cow cheese, garlic and parsley, and wrapped in bacon with loads of veg and some poatatoes. Also had a huge bowl of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.

well that's eating over for another day. see you tomorrow

TheodoresMummy · 26/06/2007 08:38

Didn't make it back here yesterday, so this is how I got on on day 1 :

BFAST - Oatiflakes + small chopped banana + soya milk

MID MORNING - 2 small cups of coffee at a group thing I go to (no sugar).

LUNCH - DH called and wanted to meet in town for lunch . So went to Pizza Express, but had a yummy salad. Not perfect, but better than a 4 cheese pizza...? Bottle of fizzy water. Coffee.

DINNER - 1 fishcake on salad (would normally have 2). Glass of water.

SUPPER - 1 small banana (got peckish before bed.

Did no exercise . Did ferry DS to and from nursery on the bike tho.

Be back late to see how I get on today .

I need to drink more water don't I ?

curiouscat · 26/06/2007 09:02

Hi all,

Shosh, on ww is oatso more filling than weetabix and how does it compare for points? I'm not on ww but would like to know if it'd help me to switch.

Yesterday I ended up having total:

2 weetabix, semi milk
1 banana
1 tuna/mayo sandwich
boiled potatoes with mayo and parmesan
peas
ice cream and berries
sugar free chewing gum
2 litres of water, felt really bloated!

Veg and berries were from our allotment so I'm NOT giving them up!

Plus did 45 min box fit class.

Today have had 2 weetabix, semi milk, brought in banana and humus salad sandwich for lunch.
