I have looked at other threads but there are so many of them that i dont know where to start so thought i would see if anyone else is thinking about starting now and wanted to join me so we can motivate each other!
Ideally i would like to eventually lose 3 stone.

I'm too embarrassed to list my day's eating which included a Magnum, a Snickers and a chocolate pudding (ok those were the embarrassing bits) so I'll just go to bed and hope for a more controlled day tomorrow

Quattrocento · 21/06/2007 22:21

Today's food intake was too much for me to lose weight - but here goes (and you must criticise honestly)

Breakfast - three spoonsful of porridge (DD leftovers, would not normally eat porridge) with honey

Snack - apple and banana

Lunch - poached salmon sandwich (wholemeal bread but also butter and creme fraiche in there) with frisee side salad

Dinner - Lentil and bacon soup. Big bowl.

8 glasses of water, 2 skinny cappucinos

One silly exercise video (first and likely to be last attempt)

Shoshable · 22/06/2007 06:33

So are we having a new start today

Quattrocento that wasnt to bad, ok the butter and creme fresh maybe pushed it a bit (and the exercise video def did)

sniff · 22/06/2007 09:18

I have had a healthy falp jack low calorie thing for breakfast!

going to try that lemon chicken for tea hae cous cous for lunch

going to try not to pick how do you learn not to

AbRoller · 22/06/2007 09:51

Morning everyone

for breakfast I'm having special K with skimmed milk. Not too crazy about the milk but I've been bold the last few weeks so it's my punishment

Not sure about lunch. Lots of lovely recipes in the ww book so might get to grips with one of those.

I'll do 15mins bike, 30mins walk, 15mins x-trainer and finish with 10 mins on the bike again.

I'll let you know how I get on and hope to hear from all of you. BTW, I'm 13st7lb and hoping to loose at least a stone before august 10th! Might just be crazy but I'll try.

Have a wonderful day all. Chat ye later

curiouscat · 22/06/2007 10:58

I had 2 weetabix with natural low fat yoghurt at 630am, and am now eating my midmorning banana.

Lunch will be peanut butter and chutney s/wich after I come back from the gym.

Weekend to be tricky as visiting inlaws who drink and eat vast amounts

marymoocow · 22/06/2007 13:06

Sniff - hope the lemon chicken works out.Oh and to stop the snacking i always have a drink of water whenever i feel the need. Having said that it only works if you really mean not to snack. ( i only say this because it has taken me 4 years to get to this week, and i am really determined this time)

Well today so far i've had a bowl of sultana bran with some milk, an apple for snack and for lunch i've had a bowl of pasta with peas and ham mixed in and some low fat cheese sprinkled on the top and some black pepper.
Oh and i've just remembered i had 2 laughing cow triangles the light versions as well for a snack.

Not sure whats for dinner yet.

Hope everyone has a good day .
I have noticed the distinct lack of exercise in my description of my day. Oh well next week maybe.....................

curiouscat · 22/06/2007 13:53

On not picking, Sniff, I'm not a great example but sometimes I chew sugarless gum while preparing meals/ feeding kids as it stops me mindlessly eating.

Back from the gym have scoffed my s/wich and am starving. Hope to resist temptation for chocolate bar this afternoon, maybe a diet Coke would be ok.

Good luck everyone, I'm away till Monday.

Shoshable · 24/06/2007 13:29

Ok how is everyone doing?

marymoocow · 24/06/2007 18:45

Had a couple of off days as have been to the seaside for the day on Saturday - ice cream and picnics, and had a christening party to go to today. But hey ho, back to it tomorrow. Feel just as determined which is good
Hope everyone else is doing ok

Shoshable · 24/06/2007 19:18

Had a very very lazy weekend all on my own, Dh away and DGd at her mums, so have been sofa surfing all weekend, reading, but have stuck to WW really want to lose another at least 3lb by weigh in on Tuesday.

marymoocow · 24/06/2007 19:56

well done you for carrying it on over the weekend . Am getting back on track now, really want to make a good start this week.
(once again reminds herself that exercise would help )

Shoshable · 24/06/2007 20:00

Mary Dont say the dreaded Exercise word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,

marymoocow · 24/06/2007 20:06

surely saying it is exercise enough though really isn't it? Think of all the muscles it must use?

I have to say my fingers are very trim - all the tap, tapping on MN

Shoshable · 24/06/2007 20:11

Do you think Sofa Surfing counts, you know leaning over nd picking up my drink is really hard work. as is typing and holding book near enough to nose so I can read without specks

marymoocow · 24/06/2007 21:12

I'm liking your attitude to all this

just make sure you change arms occasionally, so that the muscle build up is symmetrical

TheodoresMummy · 24/06/2007 21:15

Oh here you are !!!

Thought there must be a thread for people who are trying to lose weight, but not following an official diet, but couldn't find it.

Can I join you ?

Tomorrow is day 1 .

I am going to cut out fat and crappy snacky things. Cut down on carbs. Cut down on portions . Cut down on coffee. Cut right down on wine, but think I will allow 3 glasses a week.

I will try to do some form of exercise every day.

I want to lose 3 stone (I think, but haven't weighed myself lately and my jeans are really tight).

You all sound like you're doing well and supporting eachother. I hope I can stay motivated and see some results soon.

Shoshable · 24/06/2007 21:18

TM, welcome aboard some of us are on set diets some are trying alone, but we all want to lose some weight, so we rae here

marymoocow · 24/06/2007 21:25

Hello and welcome TM.
Hope it all starts off well tomorrow. Keep us informed of how you are doing.

Shoshable · 25/06/2007 08:36

well how did the weekend go everyone

curiouscat · 25/06/2007 08:41

Hi all, weekend with inlaws saw me eating and drinking merrily. Also shock when weighed myself at the gym Friday and am 10kg more than I expected. Yes. I'm over 13 stone. Can't deny it. Mentally I'm 12 shrinking to 11 stone but I need to be honest about it

So, glad you're there, Shosh and whoever else today. 2 weetabix, semi milk for breakfast. Tuna s/w on bread for lunch, banana for morning snack. Got lunch time boxing lesson. Hope can be more keen this week.

marymoocow · 25/06/2007 10:11

Morning everyone. Sultana bran for breakfast so far. Am planning a cheesy jacket potato for lunch with some beans (makes mental note to put potato in oven). Not sure on dinner tonight.

Nearly finished week 1 (today and tomorrow to go). Not sure much has happened though. Am guilty of standing on the scales everyday instead of waiting the week.

Have a good day
