Nevermind a cheat day, one day won’t make you fat same as one day won’t make you thin - get back on the horse today.

I’ve got my skinny jeans I haven’t fit into for years waiting for me as a taster. I don’t generally keep things that don’t fit but I’ve had these there for ‘one day’

cricketmum84 · 07/10/2018 10:00

Weigh in alert!!

3lbs down. Eleventy billion to go Grin

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 07/10/2018 10:24

Well done!

alleypalley · 07/10/2018 10:30

Morning. I’d like to jump in and join you all if that’s ok.

I’m 43 and the fattest I’ve ever been. I used to able to lose weight quite easily and was very active but I broke my foot a few years ago and I have still have a lot of pain from it so I’m limited in what I can do exercise wise. I use that as an excuse though as there’s still a lot I can do I just struggle to find the motivation.

I would like to lose 3-4 stones. I’m trying to become vegan for both health and environmental reasons and I plan to start 5:2 next week as I have had some success with that in the past.

Badhairday1001 · 07/10/2018 10:50

Can I join too please. I’ve lost 2 and a half stone this year with slimming world and have about a stone left to go but I’ve seriously stalled. I’m going to try my best to get the last stone off before Christmas but think I’m going to ditch slimming world and just track on mfp because I think my portions are just too big.

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 07/10/2018 12:45

Welcome!

Alley I got fatter as a vegan Grin I’m more veggie/pesch now but eat mostly vegan. I’d highly recommend tracking with the app chronometer instead of MFP or others as it tracks micronutrients, much more useful for vegans trying to ensure a good range of nutrients going in. Good luck!

Badhair yeh that’s the problem with SW, you can easily eat more than you need even following the plan. Calorie counting is helpful.

Badhairday1001 · 07/10/2018 14:17

Thanks Rain! I’ve had a food and drink filled weekend and next weekend is going to be the same but I’m just going to be good all week to try to minimise the impact!

alleypalley · 07/10/2018 14:44

Thanks istherain I’ll look at that app.

I have already eaten far too much of the carrot cake my dd and I baked because it’s vegan so it’s healthy isn’t it Blush

Into week two. Last week was a bust due to us all having colds however I managed not to snack again. Not been outside in a week so again yet to begin increasing any physical activity.

Batch cooked potato hash and mashed potatoes over the weekend for dc and getting into using my slow cooker now too which is helping in that DC give me to time at all to cook during the day time anymore.

Weighed this morning and lost 1lb so I suppose it's better than nothing.

Total loss: 4lb

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 08/10/2018 09:11

Well done Zilcat

I’ve stayed the same weight over the weekend despite wine and pudding yesterday, which is great. Still 4lbs off since last Monday. My scales seem to be different across the kitchen floor though and can’t work out if it’s the scale or the floor. Going to try and be strict with a max 1200 cals a day this week, less going on so should be easier and I can see from last weeks food diary where I can make sensible cuts. Very happy with my new super non-stick frying pans that allowed me to fry and egg with no oil yesterday!

Lucked · 08/10/2018 09:12

Weigh in today 1 lb down. 13st7 BMI 27.3
6lbs total loss.

My scales only do whole pounds but it was wavering between 6 and7 until it settled on 7 so hopefully the next pound loss will be along soon.

Aiming for 2 this week.

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 08/10/2018 09:20

I’m down to a BMI of 28.5, into a new number. Now to break into 10st as well

TheVeryThing · 08/10/2018 10:36

God, i need this thread. I'm the heaviest I've ever been and at 44 it's getting so hard to even lose a pound.
I'm going to try writing everything down (instead of MFP) as that seems to make it more real for me. Have had a healthy breakfast and brought salad etc for lunch so just need to stick to that.
Going to try yoga (I know it won't burn too many calories but I'm hoping for stress relief and less emotional eating)
I had intended getting up early for yoga and then going for a run straight after work but DS1 was awake during the night with a tummy bug and Ds2 was refusing to go school so I ended up driving him & in the rush left my running gear at home.
Good luck to everyone else today & well done to those who have lost weight already, you're my inspiration!

soupforbrains · 08/10/2018 10:42

Hello! I would like to join too please. I have been continuously creeping up in size and weight for years and I know it's really unhealthy.

I weigh 15 stone (probably more now tbh)I too need to lose at least 3 stone maybe more. I will weigh myself this evening and post my starting weight.

I'm quite good at the self control aspect when I'm concentrating but I tend to lose motivation after a while, I can't do slimming world or WW etc because a) I can't afford it and b) I live rurally and neither groups run sessions which are when I'm not working/the public transport is running.

I plan to lose weight firstly by portion control generally and minimising snacking. Secondly by increasing exercise. I've joined a weekly class which is all I can manage right now, but it's a start.

WhoWants2Know · 08/10/2018 22:22

Well, I'm not thin yet. But I held steady over the weekend and am generally making better choices and getting my steps in, so there's hope.

alleypalley · 09/10/2018 01:10

I forgot to weigh myself this morning before I went to work so will do it tomorrow and then set myself a mini goal.

Today went well food wise, didn’t have time for breakfast and didn’t get lunch until after 4pm - had a big bowl of salad with quinoa and halloumi. Then was stuck in my office until nearly 10pm so was too late to cook so just had some toast and an apple and banana.

I have a couple of hours work to do in the morning but then have the rest of the day off so will try and fit in some exercise and meal planning.

fifithefoof · 09/10/2018 01:26

Can I join? I've got 2.6 stone/ 37 pounds to lose. I HAVE to have lost it by the start of April (wedding where loads of people I haven't seen for years are going including twat of a sil who will be over the moon if I'm not twig like Angry).

So that's 1.48 pounds a week. Possible?

fifithefoof · 09/10/2018 01:28

I'm 41 and it's SO hard!!! I broke my foot and got asthma a while back and have been piling on the pounds.

HerRoyalFattyness · 09/10/2018 07:44

Im back...
Ive lost 3lbs accidentally this week! Grin

Mucky1 · 09/10/2018 09:13

I'm in! Iv managed to lose 2 stone over summer but definitely need to lose at least another 3-4. I need all the help support tips and tricks I can get.

soupforbrains · 09/10/2018 11:28

Wow Mucky 2 stone over the summer is great! well done!

WhoWants2Know · 09/10/2018 15:43

1.4 pounds per week is definitely doable

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 09/10/2018 18:48

That sounds very doable fifithefoof. Work out your TDEE (Google it) and make sure you’re eating a deficit from that. Track everything you’re eating and weigh it so you’re sure.

Well done Royal! Why do you think it’s accidental?

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 09/10/2018 18:51

We’re here for you Mucky. Working out my TDEE was really helpful - I only use about 1600 calories a day, so need to eat less than that to lose. The 2000 calorie thing is pretty arbitrary. I also bought some very accurate digital scales, now I’m weighing everything I can see I’ve definitely been eating much more than I needed to, and more than I realised.
