Would any of you ladies like to join me on my journey to lose three stone? Starting tomorrow Grin

Am actually finding that I'm spending less (an added bonus of all of this) as I'm planning ahead more and buying less stuff on the run. Hoorah!

gothefcktosleep · 02/10/2018 08:40

Down 2lbs in 2 weeks... now 13st 11

Chuffed with that as to be honest I thought 1lb a month would suit me fine. But although I’m eating the same I’ve started doing much more walking, either pushing the buggy or carrying my ever growing DD... seems to be paying off! Would like to go back to work at 13st 9 (1 BMI point lower!) but no pressure!

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 02/10/2018 09:13

Well done Frog and Sleep.

Upping the walking is definitely a sensible plan, trying to do that myself.

FiveShelties · 02/10/2018 09:30

Congratulations IsTheRain

I am trying not to think of food as feel if I have one treat it will lead to another 15, or so! Had a breast biopsy last week and GP was in contact today to advise that -

histology sounds normal but the pathologist doesn't sound completely reassured. Best wait and see what the surgeon says.

Not sure if that is good or bad news!

gothefcktosleep · 02/10/2018 11:10

Fingers crossed for you, @Five

HerRoyalFattyness · 02/10/2018 16:07

DS1 has a leaky valve in his heart.
The condition is called mitral regurgitation. Sad
Luckily its only mild for now. Hopefully it will stay that way.
But on a brighter note i did loads of exercise today...the fire alarm went off at work!

MamaBearThius · 02/10/2018 20:21

5lbs off after my first week of 1500 calories a day 😊😊😊 feeling really proud

WhoWants2Know · 02/10/2018 22:00

Bloody hell, 5lb? That's really good going!

My exercise was a bit lower today, but I kept busy and avoided the chocolate cake. I'm counting it as a win.

poorpaws · 02/10/2018 22:43

5lbs off, that’s amazing! I’d celebrate with cake, maybe that’s why I fail 😉

WhoWants2Know · 03/10/2018 03:50

Just checking in while I'm up after my 28th trip to the loo tonight, because who needs sleep? There can be no water left in my body now. I better look like a raisin when I get up in the morning.

Languageofkindness · 03/10/2018 06:25

Some amazing losses here - am in awe! My ongoing stress over work situation continues so am finding it hard to stomach much at the moment - am trying to see the potential weight loss as a positive of the situation 😬 usually sugar is my absolute go to in these situations so I am downing the liquorice and peppermint tea to stave that off with mixed success!

MamaBearThius · 03/10/2018 08:32

Thank you 😘 I'm not normally sweet toothed but I've been having fibre 1 bars of an evening...almost resemble a chocolate brownie and 90 cals!

GirlfriendInAKorma · 03/10/2018 09:09

On a work trip today. Have a big bottle of water with me and need to avoid junk / sugary crap / carb overload...

Zillcat · 03/10/2018 11:04

Forgot to post on Monday that I've managed 3lb in the first week. Since then I've had a house guest and eaten terribly so will have to start again properly when they leave. I have stocked up for my slow cooker now though so hopefully will manage to make some healthy meals and freeze leftovers for the busy days.

Well done on those big losses!

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 04/10/2018 11:15

2lbs off after 4 days - sticking to around 1200 calories a day, though ended up 1300 yesterday. My TDEE is only 1600cals as I’m small and sedentary so this doesn’t feel like too little.

I’m just getting a grip of what’s best to eat so I’m meeting nutritional needs and not feeling hungry whilst sticking to lower cals - using an app called Cronometer which tracks micronutrients not just fat/protein/carbs and calories. I want to be healthy as well and a calorie is not just a calorie! Weighing everything too which someone in another thread suggested and it’s really helping to keep things in check. I also made a delicious broccoli and Stilton soup that’s only 220kcal a portion and really filling, will definitely be making more when I run out!

Will post a food diary tonight.

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 04/10/2018 11:16

I’m sorry Royal that sounds really stressful. Hope it stays mild for you.

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 04/10/2018 11:20

Oh and thanks all for the congratulations on my engagement! Wedding will probably be Spring 2020, so plenty of time to get svelte, but my sister gets married next year so that’s my immediate goal.

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 04/10/2018 21:03

Today’s food diary

B - 2 coffees with soya milk, 2 egg omelette with 100g roasted red pepper and 75g feta. Cooked in a teaspoon of olive oil.

L - homemade broccoli and Stilton soup

Another coffee with soya milk

D - 4 grain cous cous with lemon and mint and a little olive oil, roasted chickpeas, griddled courgette and more feta (if I open it we eat it quickly because it goes off so fast)

Cronometer reckons 1285kcal and I’ve met most of my micronutrient needs.

Languageofkindness · 05/10/2018 19:03

I have had a bar of chocolate and some crisps and dips today. Awful. Stress eating again. Will have some roast chicken and veg to try and balance it out.

Cagliostro · 05/10/2018 19:06

I’m doing really badly as the epically heavy period just sent me nuts tbh

Languageofkindness · 06/10/2018 07:17

Slightly better evening - had roast chicken covered in curry paste and roasted over potatoes and cauliflower. Hopefully will have managed a llb or 2 by Monday. I am determined not to let the odd bad day derail me which is what i’ve done on every previous attempt

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 06/10/2018 08:57

Tried weighing myself this morning and I’m a different weight in different parts of my kitchen, a variation of up to 4lbs! Fuck! How do I know which is right? The floor appears flat, could it be batteries in the scale?

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 06/10/2018 13:11

Right - got the scale sorted. Another 2lbs down! That’s 4lbs since Monday, despite wine and halloumi last night. I’m on this!

Cagliostro · 06/10/2018 20:10

Excellent rain :)

I haven’t weighed in but I’m pleased as I can still fit in my skinny jeans. I thought as I’d put on, I wouldn’t be able to.

Languageofkindness · 07/10/2018 02:07

Very boozy night - far too much beer and cocktails 🙄 and steak chips and too much pudding. Onwards and downwards tomorrow
