Would any of you ladies like to join me on my journey to lose three stone? Starting tomorrow Grin

OP posts:
Zillcat · 28/09/2018 09:51

Not posted for a couple of days.

Doing reasonably well compared to what I was doing last week (having chocolate/crisps for lunch)

Not upped my activity but I have been pretty busy with the DC so that always counts as chasing babies is as knackering as a DVD sometimes.

Also avoided going through a drive through yesterday which has been my norm these last few months, especially if the DC are asleep in the back and I can eat in peace. not eating KFC or macdonalds once a week is a definite bonus!
Also ordered a bigger slow cooker to start stocking up the freezer.

NachoFries · 28/09/2018 10:00

Is it too late to join? Blush I’d like to lose at least 4 stones. Would love to lose a stone a month but I’m not sure if that is even feasible 🙈 Never used to have junk food of any kind and until I met DP who has made me feel way too comfortable and we end up snacking and ordering junk more often than I’d like to think about. I tried the no S diet but I don’t have enough will power to stop for seconds and thirds and I justify it by saying that I’m eating from a small plate Blush

Lucked · 28/09/2018 10:31

Nacho please join us. Whilst a stone a month is possible you don’t want to set yourself up for failure. I think most of us are aiming to lose a stone for Christmas whilst hoping for more.

I was up in the night peeing last night so I expect some water weight loss this week but that is usually a good motivator.

BMI works for me, if anything it is slightly generous because I have low muscle mass but it is marginal. I will certainly be happy to get into the healthy range but it won’t be the end of the journey.

ilooovechristmas · 28/09/2018 17:09

Think I might have to get on the treadmill tonight guys so the scales don't break on Monday HA Blush

Cagliostro · 28/09/2018 17:21

Today is not going well at all. I am so so tired, after getting back from the home ed group (at the park near our house so not like I had even travelled far!) I went to bed for 3 hours 😳 I have eaten badly too. DH is doing a sea bass risotto for dinner though so at least that’s sorted

Zillcat · 28/09/2018 18:20

Friend came round with cakes. Blush

Tomorrow is a new day. Again.

GirlfriendInAKorma · 28/09/2018 19:38

Checking in - I have been very good all week but had a cake today (small piece so don't think it's the end of the world). No booze all week and am going to parkrun in the morning. Anyone been on the scales yet to see any progress? (I haven't).

Froglady99 · 28/09/2018 20:43

Slight fall off the healthy eating wagon today.. Back on it tomorrow.
Hope everyone is feeling good now it’s Friday. Does anyone have any tips for increasing water intake? I definitely don’t drink enough...

Jenasaurus · 28/09/2018 20:47

Can I join. I started on the Cambridge diet on 23 July and have lost 2 stone 7 pounds so far but I have another 2 to go and getting to that stage when I need support to not give up. So I would love to join. I will continue with CD but add a protein and green veg meal

Italianmeringuebuttercream · 28/09/2018 20:53

Can I join please? Starting tomorrow (half a bottle of wine tonight).
11st as of this morning but should be 9.5! My trousers are too tight Blush

Italianmeringuebuttercream · 28/09/2018 20:54

Froglady do you have a bottle? I carry one every where and fill up regularly

Froglady99 · 28/09/2018 21:45

I do Italianmeringuebuttercream but I tend to ignore it unless it has squash in Hmm

Lucked · 28/09/2018 22:23

We Jenasaurus 2.5 stone in 2 months. Well done that is truly amazing.

I saw the article on the BBC about how people on meal replacement regimes had more weight loss after a year than with standard diets and it would be a more effective use of NHS money. A friend of mine loss a huge amount of weight 10 years ago on a similar plan and has kept it off (she says this is because she never wants to have to do it again😂). I'm not sure I could do it though - terrifies me a little.

dreamdream · 29/09/2018 08:47

I've have been so bad with food for the last two days, really pissed off with myself.

Going to try harder today. I'm dreading weigh day on Monday, I will definitely be heavier than when I started. When will I learn!

OP posts:
Cagliostro · 29/09/2018 10:49

I’m not sure how often I’ll weigh in.

I am feeling like crap. Having my first proper period since baby arrived (she’s 11m) and it’s heavy and horrible and I’m feeling totally drained TBH. Just want sleep and chocolate and McDonald’s 😳

tibni · 29/09/2018 11:17

My birthday yesterday so gave myself a day off Smile
Ds hospital appointment Wednesday was difficult and we are seeing a different consultant today (this one is his usual consultant but as he is approaching 18 he will soon be passed into the adult world.
Went for run this morning - training couch 5k, we do same route and a walker commented how much we are improving

cricketmum84 · 29/09/2018 11:37

I've not done great. I've either eaten practically nothing the entire day or gone crazy with cooked breakfast from work, sugary coffee, bread at lunch, althouvtea hasn't been too bad, lots of veg or salad.
I bought a wispa the other day, had one bite and then put it in my bag and it's still there!
Been naughty this morning and had crumpets with lots of lurpak. SW chilli nacho bowl planned for tea although it's strictly tonight and Saturday! so I'll probably have a couple of G&Ts.

GirlfriendInAKorma · 29/09/2018 11:51

@Cagliostro - be kind to yourself - I went through that recently and it was awful. Try to eat plenty of iron as you're probably losing loads.

GirlfriendInAKorma · 29/09/2018 11:51

@tibni How are you finding couch to 5k?

CaitlinsYellowSocks · 29/09/2018 12:13

I've been doing okay and mostly sticking to the clean and lean diet, but with a few more (mostly healthy) snacks - made my own nut and seed bliss balls for example. Still haven't managed to ditch caffeine though.

I was 11'2 when I weighed myself on Thursday, so not doing too badly for the first couple of days. If I can keep it off until next Wednesday and maybe lose another couple of pounds I will be happy.

This morning I had protein pancakes (two eggs, oatmeal, half a banana, protein powder) with greek yoghurt and berries. Off to a preschoolers birthday party now so suspect the food will not be diet-friendly!

tibni · 29/09/2018 13:10

Girlfriend (sorry don't know how to highlight names on phone) I'm doing couch to 5k with my friend. We are making slow progress and doing a lot of repeating weeks but we are getting fitter and stronger. We have been doing it for months but still working on week 6 (having almost completed it a couple of months ago then life getting in the way.
First couple of weeks were tough and the couple of big jumps in running time are challenging but it's possible if you just keep at it. We are not young or that fit and we are getting there Smile

Lucked · 29/09/2018 13:20

The morning I pulled all the trousers out of my wardrobe and placed them in piles of;
Now -fit well
Soon- I can fasten but too tight
Way to go - can't fasten

Found an extra pair of trousers I can wear to work at the moment and there are six pairs in the soon pile and if this goes to plan I should be wearing them all by the end of October. Good motivation.

GirlfriendInAKorma · 29/09/2018 13:29

@tibni - Sounds awesome! Well done 😁

GirlfriendInAKorma · 29/09/2018 16:12

I cleaned my own car rather than going to the car wash (that must have burned enough calories for a glass of wine later, right?!)

Cagliostro · 29/09/2018 16:57

Ah thanks korma x
Must get back to taking ferroglobin, I have forgotten this week.

We had lunch out but I have a plan for a lovely healthy dinner. We went to Asda earlier and I got a couple of treats, but did well reining it in considering the epic cravings, I honestly could’ve bought the whole shop. Just trying to remember that falling off the wagon a little doesn’t give me a green light to dive off altogether. So I thought really hard about exactly what I was craving and getting something that only had a smaller serving. In the past I would’ve bought loads and loads.

I managed to walk down to town but I am bleeding so heavily I actually couldn’t walk back home 🤢 (sorry TMI) so I have been resting since.
