I'm 5"6 and 13st, biggest I've ever been and I have a tiny frame do it looks awful, I have friends much bigger than me that look great but I look like the Hunny Monster!
Not setting goals just hoping to be sensible and to usey exercise bike and twist n shape more than I usey pint glass and takeaway menu.
All welcome - Join me and let's get to a better place by Christmas eve 🎄✨☃️❄️

Oh me too! I’m 5 ‘4, about 13 st 6... and am thinking how merrier a Christmas it will be if I can reduce my size! I’ve had a number of work situations where I have also been identified as pregnant , beyond embarrassing! Going to try to half the carb madnes, and fit exercise in a few times a week , just difficult to juggle self care with job and three kids😩

ChristinaMarlowe · 09/09/2018 23:40

Welcome @canary1 I think Christmas eve always feels sparkly and magical and a big weight loss would be the best Christmas present I could give myself. No more excuses and no more "diet starts Monday"!

I was just looking for a thread and was going to start one for Christmas weight loss!

It's 16 weeks till Xmas and I'd like to lose 14lbs. It sounds like we've all got young families and it's hard to fit stuff in. I'm aiming to complete c210k and go to the gym once a week. Plus 3 healthy meals a day. We've been focusing on spending less on our food budget and although that's worked we've been eating way more stodge. I really struggle at 5pm ish and often have a big pig out as my tiredness and stress seems to intersect!

So today is a fresh start. Here's what I'm aiming to eat:
B - banana, gk yoghurt & honey
L - ham sandwich
T - butternut squash pasta with broccoli followed by strawbs and blackberries.

Have a good day all!

J3551011 · 10/09/2018 06:26

Can I join? I’ve not got masses to lose but have been pissing about with this one particular stone and would LOVE to get it off by Christmas once and for all. Am going to do Slimming World. Are we having a weekly weigh in?

camdenlock · 10/09/2018 06:45

I'm in. Probably around 3 stone to lose, will weigh myself in a bit but need to dust off the scales first!

loveisland · 10/09/2018 07:10

I'm in ! 13st 10lb and need to shift at least a stone, ideally back to 11st is the overall target! Might do slimming world at home! Are we taking before pics today ? Not to post but to compare on our phones by Xmas!

MsForestier · 10/09/2018 07:17

Arghh

5'5" and 12 at 6 (79 kg). Can remember being 9 st 10lbs.

In.

camdenlock · 10/09/2018 08:07

Just got on the scales.

11 3.5lb. Not quite as bad as I thought but still bad. I'm short so my fat is all on tummy and arse. Look like a telly tubby.

Is Monday going to be the weigh in day?

Good luck today.

GreyandGrumpy48 · 10/09/2018 08:19

Can I jump in too? 5”2 and 11 8 this morning. Would love to be under 10 stone for Christmas. Not planning anything too harsh just more exercise and less mindless snacking.

MsForestier · 10/09/2018 08:23

Actually 78.9kg not 79. I usually lose 0.5kg or 1lb per week because I get really narky on a stricter diet. This time I will add in more exercise. The key for me is not snacking or drinking calories. Also taking vitamins and concentrating on quality nutrition.

Fakeplasticcheese · 10/09/2018 08:30

I'm in. "Only" about a stone to lose, but I'm fed up of being fed up with myself. Cutting back booze and carbs. Too late for weigh in this morning. Will do tomorrow.

Countdownto40 · 10/09/2018 09:36

I'm in too! I weight around 11 stone and would love to get into the 9 stone bracket by Xmas Eve!

I started the day with 1 sausage and a slice of bread with an iced coffee. Started my period today so too painful to exercise Sad but will walk to make sure I move!!

CaitlinsYellowSocks · 10/09/2018 10:54

Hello! I'd like to join please - although I am hoping to lose weight in time for a big party (friend's 40th) on 23 November.

Had DS2 a week ago today and haven't dared weigh myself yet, but suspect I was nearly 13 stone when I went into hospital. I'd like to get down to 9/9.5 stone by the end of November.

CaitlinsYellowSocks · 10/09/2018 10:55

Oh and I'm 5'6

petalsandstars · 10/09/2018 11:10

I’m in - started weightwatchers last week, have lost 4lb so now at 12 and a half stone at 5’6 my target is 10 which will take me back to a size 12 and my happy weight. I don’t expect anywhere near that loss every week but I’ll keep plugging away.
Been to the gym this morning too - it was very busy (Monday morning effect maybe). If I don’t go in the morning I’ll struggle to get there all day as something else always takes over.

Christmas is a nice target to aim for I’d love to be a stone lighter by the end of the year!

PoesyCherish · 10/09/2018 11:57

Can I join? I've been pissing about with this last stone most of the year. I'm going away in December and don't want to look like the Michelin man again with the fat and the layers of clothes so if I could just shift a few pounds - half a stone that'd be great she says having eaten two slices of Asda pizza for lunch

I'm 5ft and weight this morning was 8 st 9 lbs. I know technically I'm not overweight according to BMI but I feel and look overweight for my height.

Silvertap · 10/09/2018 17:32

Congratulations Caitlinssocks!!!

Just checking in here at my normal pig out time! Have managed a 40 min bike ride and 10K steps today so if I can stay away from the biscuit tin I'm good!

Countdownto40 · 10/09/2018 19:51

Ive had a good day!

Ever so slightly over cals but in control and will get on exercise bike to try and claw some back!

Menu

1 sausage, slice of bread, iced coffee
1 slice of bread, ham, 3 x cream crackers, melon
Homemade lasagne, made with 5% mince, side salad and a bit of garlic bread
Snacked on 10 cashews

camdenlock · 11/09/2018 11:36

Morning

Well I wasn't too bad yesterday. Going to try harder today though. I'm so fed up with being tubby. This is a dangerous time of year as it is too easy to hide the fat with a baggy jumper or cardi. I really need to sort my self out.

Christina, hope you are ok, come back and post, even if you've not managed to stick to the diet. Today's another day, as is tomorrow.

PoesyCherish · 11/09/2018 13:34

@camdenlock it's definitely a bad time of year isn't it.

Had a relatively good day food wise yesterday. Had two squares of dark chocolate in the evening today.

Felt very hungry today but managed to hold off having my lunch until just now and I had a tin of carrot and coriander soup.

Hope everyone has a good afternoon.

CampariSpritz · 11/09/2018 16:01

Please can I join too? Two stone of baby weight to go: currently 10 st 5 and 5’5” and DS is 9 weeks old. I’m small framed so it looks too much - 8’8” is my ideal weight but I’ll be happy at 9’. I’ve been doing WW for the last month and a few pounds have gone but I was bad over the weekend and need to focus, particularly with portion sizes and not cheating. I’m also using MFP. I’m trying to get to spin classes 3 / 4 times a week as that is the only thing that seems to work for me exercise-wise (I don’t push myself hard enough when running or in the gym). I’m hoping to shift the lot by Christmas.....

camdenlock · 11/09/2018 20:04

I've had a good day food wise today. I just need to keep it up Grin

I did a couple of hours in the garden pulling weeds and sweeping up, that's got to count as exercise. Also walked the dogs. I'm knackered now and really fancy something sweet to eat. I've decided not to eat after 7pm which I am hoping will stop my usual evening chocolate binges.

How are you all doing?

Chickoletta · 11/09/2018 20:10

I'll join too please, ladies. I'm five foot two and just over eleven stone. I,ve done really well with Slimming World and have lost two stone I. The past but have had a foodie, boozy summer and need to get on it now.

Good luck everyone!

camdenlock · 11/09/2018 20:22

Chicolette well done on your two stone weight loss.

camdenlock · 11/09/2018 20:24

Sorry chickoletta got your name wrong.
