...It's on. My friends mum saw me today and thought I was pregnant (to be fair DH and I are trying which she knows so it's not such a stretch but yeah 🙈) and I've had enough.
I'm 5"6 and 13st, biggest I've ever been and I have a tiny frame do it looks awful, I have friends much bigger than me that look great but I look like the Hunny Monster!
Not setting goals just hoping to be sensible and to usey exercise bike and twist n shape more than I usey pint glass and takeaway menu.

@camdenlock that's a good idea. My problem is I have a total mental block on what I am eating right now. So there's a part of my brain that goes "yes, we need to lose weight, absolutely, couldn't agree more. But this one biscuit/cake/handful of peanuts isn't going to do any harm" EVERY time I have a biscuit/cake/handful of peanuts. And then another part that catches up straight after I've eaten it going "well wtf did you do that for? Of COURSE it will do harm".

It was the same every time I tried to quit smoking, before I got pregnant and just quit overnight. I have basically replaced one addiction with another 😓

Irh I have been trying to lose my weight since 2012 and every day I have failed. I might be good for a couple of days but then just give up. Every day I would wake up and pretty much my first thought would be how disgusted I am with myself for being such a greedy bitch with no self control.

For some reason, this time I feel differently. I'm determined to sort myself out once and for all. I can't cope with mentally beating myself up every five minutes for failing, so at the moment I don't have to and it is much much easier on the head.

I guess everyone has a point where enough is really enough.

Morning all, well done on all of the impressive losses. Pottering along here, trying to cut back on choc & carbs and create a calorie deficit, as well as eating a bit more healthily. If I cut things out entirely, I just can’t stick to it. Have a good day!

Please may I join you all on your weight loss for Christmas post?

I'm currently aiming to lose 3 stone and drop from 15st 3lb to 12st.

I'm counting calories and have been doing so for the last 2 weeks, not sure if I'm going to continue with this method dieting as the scales aren't budging despite my best efforts and tracking every mouthful I eat on Nutracheck.

I think I'll stick to this method for another 2 weeks which will be a month in total and if I haven't lost at least 4lbs I'm going to look into trying something else. It's a bit frustrating as I was very successful with calorie counting in my 20's and lost 5 stone in as many months but losing weight is much more difficult as you get older I've found.

Anyway onwards and upwards. Hope you all have a great day Smile

May I join too? In my madly ambitious moments I’d like to lose 2 stone but in the real world I’d be pretty happy with one and a half. I’m trying to be very realistic and long term about it so working on getting off 1 stone by Xmas. I’m planning on 2 x 500-600 calorie days each week and around 11-1200 the rest. No alcohol (that’s the hardest bit by far). Starting Monday (have a social
thing this weekend that won’t be diet friendly) but doing a generally sensible eating week and meal planning etc in prep for the proper start.

I was 13st 5 back in June... I'm 5'6" and I looked huge, frumpy and was asked if I was pregnant. 🙈 I joined WW and I'm 11st now. 1.5 stone more to go!

Nice one, Countdown.

I started my day with banana pancakes. Healthy, oat pancakes of course.

Coffee and an apple mid-morning, salad for lunch, roasted veg with bean purée (much nicer than it sounds) and flatbread for dinner.

I still haven't had a drink. I am winning! 😂

I'm determined to have a better day today. Yesterday wasn't too bad apart from the fact I got a Costa on my way home from work - a probably high in sugar chai latte!!

So food for today is shreddies for breakfast. Tinned soup for lunch and haven't quite planned dinner yet as it depends on my plans.

What is everyone else having for dinner today?

What are your healthy autumn/winter comfort foods?

@lrh3891 how do you make oat pancakes? I've made banana pancakes before with just banana, flour and almond milk (my university housemate was vegan) but how do you make them with oats?

I am on week2 of 5/2 fasting
Fasting day 4
I am having a cup of coffee in an insulated mug to sip through to when I finish work at 1.30.
I then am not going home, I am swimming for 45 mins then steam room
School run then when the family have dinner I am having a ready meal it is my way of knowing what calories I am having.
Tonight I have had Katsu chicken curry 360 calories and another cup of coffee.
Because I am swimming on fast days I am tired so falling asleep easily at 10.
Gone from 15st 4 to 14st 12 in 2 weeks.
However I have heaps to lose 😳

5'5" and 12 at 6 (79 kg). Can remember being 9 st 10lbs. Me on 10/9

Did eat Leibniz biscuits yesterday but unwell so not in sound state of mind Grin

Today 77.6kg Smile

Looked at myself in the mirror. Determined to think good thoughts about myself. I have a functioning healthy body that needs to be a bit fitter and lighter for health. Fake it til I make it.

I'm still here...had a bugger of a week at work and a stinking cold as well, but made it to Friday! Yay! Was 11st 7lbs this morning so I've lost a bit but I don't feel like I have, so expect it will all be back on tomorrow. Grin

campari some weeks you don't lose anything at all even if you are eating sensibly. Can be hormonal etc. Then the scales move again. So don't lose hope and don't cut back radically.

I’m doing ww and I’m a very sloooow loser! But I’ve just looked back and I’m over a stone lighter now than I was this time last year so that’s positive.

Being realistic I’m going for another half a stone off by Christmas. That’ll take me to 2 stone off in total.

Can I join too? I am so fed up of looking in the mirror, saying I'm going to doing something about my weight and then doing nothing. I hate how I look at the moment. I need to lose 2 stone to get back to a weight I'm happy with. I thought this at the beginning of the summer, but did nothing. If only I had, I could be where I want to by now. Christmas seems a good goal, so I'm starting today. Going to log everything on mfp I think. I already do some exercise, but am going to increase it and also make sure I meet my fitbit steps target every day, rather than just some days.
