I'm 5"6 and 13st, biggest I've ever been and I have a tiny frame do it looks awful, I have friends much bigger than me that look great but I look like the Hunny Monster!
Not setting goals just hoping to be sensible and to usey exercise bike and twist n shape more than I usey pint glass and takeaway menu.
All welcome - Join me and let's get to a better place by Christmas eve 🎄✨☃️❄️

Hi everyone.. after a virtuous 2 days I succumbed to wine last night. This (plus the will power that disappears with it) is my worst vice.. and extends to the carbs required for breakfast the next day. I'm not fussed about anything sweet ..anyone else have this as their main weakness ? Confused

MillieMoodle · 13/09/2018 12:51

Hello all, mind if I join you?

I have been trying to lose the same two stone for the last two years. I did ok while on mat leave with DS2 and got down to 11st (I was 12st straight after DS2 was born), but I've been back at work a year and it's nearly all crept back on again because I'm sitting on my backside in an office all day.

I'm 5'4" and about 11st 9lbs - am aiming for 11st by Halloween and 10st 7lbs by Christmas Eve. Just going to scroll back and read through the thread properly now! Grin

PoesyCherish · 13/09/2018 13:08

Well done @campari. 2 lb down is really good.

Hi @Milliemoodle

@Seth I'm pretty good at avoiding the wine unless DP brings home a bottle Sugar is my biggest issue at the moment.

Having a good day food wise but people in the office keep bringing in nice chips and things and it smells amazing! Off to have my boring soup now

camdenlock · 13/09/2018 13:29

Seth, I'm not much of a drinker these days, I can't take the hangovers anymore. For me I am addicted to sugar, I can eat chocolate all day long. It's shocking how much I am physically able to consume without feeling sick. I've not had any chocolate since Sunday and feel awful, really bad headache and zero energy. It's got to get easier right?

Hi Millie Smile

PoesyCherish · 13/09/2018 13:33

It definitely does get easier camden I did Sugar free February for cancer research this year. The first week or so was hell but by the end of it I found it much easier and barely even thought about it. I think the key is to cut out sugar completely, well technically I cut out refined sugar so was still able to eat fruit and veg.

MillieMoodle · 13/09/2018 13:59

Camden I am sugar fiend too. I can take or leave the booze but don't drink often enough for it to affect my weight. I could sit and eat chocolate all evening though Blush

PoesyCherish · 13/09/2018 15:20

All this talk of chocolate is making me so hungry. Must. Not. Eat. Holiday. Chocolate!

We have 1.5 bars left in the cupboard that we brought back from holiday last month.

MsForestier · 13/09/2018 15:29

I seem to have lost 0.6 kg so down to 78.3. I want to get my BMI back to 24.9 so need to get to 68kg roughly.

MillieMoodle · 13/09/2018 20:47

It's not been the best of days diet-wise but it's been DS2's birthday so that's a good enough excuse, right?
Breakfast - fruit and fibre cereal
Lunch - baked beans on 2 slices of white toast
Dinner - McDonalds Blush(hamburger, cheeseburger, regular fries and medium Coke Zero)
Snacks - slice of birthday cake.
Resisted having a coffee and cake at soft play though, so that's something!

Have done 8,000 steps which is much more than usual too.

Tomorrow will be a healthier day!

Countdownto40 · 13/09/2018 21:03

I'm still here! Sorry for not posting yesterday and welcome to the newbies!

Yesterday menu - 1 toast and iced coffee, lovely fresh raw salad which was divine, tandoori chicken and rice for dinner. Snacked on a bit of choc at work and fruit.

Today someone at work said I looked fresh faced today - I'm putting that down to the green juice I've been having a shot of every day!

Today's menu

1 slice toast, ice coffee, lentil soup for lunch and a brownie , fruit, then DH made roast dinner so I had chicken and pigs in blankets with green veg and a couple of small roast potatoes.

I have over eaten today (I track cals in MyFitnessPal) but I'm not gong to blow it by writing off the whole day and falling headfirst into a vat of chocolate! I'm still in control!

camdenlock · 13/09/2018 21:28

I REALLY WANT CHOCOLATE Grin

MsForestier · 13/09/2018 21:36

Camden you don't - you only think you do! Wait til Easter.

spinabifidamom · 14/09/2018 03:23

I’m considering cutting out meat completely for a while. I’ve been vegetarian in the past so I’m going to restart tomorrow officially again and see what happens. Hopefully I’ll feel healthier. My other goal is to hit the gym more often. I’m also looking at what sort of fitness classes are available in my area.

camdenlock · 14/09/2018 07:43

Morning all

Well I survived another day yesterday, today is day 6. So far no chocolate has been eaten which I am very proud of.

Still got a monster headache but feeling more positive that I have started this weight loss game. Weigh day for me tomorrow!

Hope that you are all firmly sat on the wagon.

MsForestier · 14/09/2018 07:57

Well done Camden. I haven't fallen off the wagon either, just yet. Snacking is my downfall. I'm cutting out all non nutritional calories including alcohol.

Countdownto40 · 14/09/2018 08:01

Well done on the no chocolate!

SodTheBloodyLotOfThem · 14/09/2018 08:04

I am a touch late to this party but I am just back from holiday and getting on the wagon. No non-nutritional calories sounds like an excellent strategy.

MsForestier · 14/09/2018 08:17

SodTheBloodyLotOfThem I've just done a kick start with taking vitamins including vitamin D. I took an iron nutritional supplement for two weeks and am trying to include more iron rich foods in my diet. I don't think I eat well in nutritional terms and that's affected my energy levels. Also by thinking of the nutritional value of the food, I seem to be able to avoid the biscuits and chocolates and Wine that I like.

DoodleMumm · 14/09/2018 12:37

Hello ladies, I'm in please.
Started Cambridge on Monday so I am on day 5 and the first challenge...the weekend!

PoesyCherish · 14/09/2018 12:51

Fell off the band wagon. DP brought home wine last night so i drank half a bottle and also late night snacked on some chips. Then lunchtime today I ate curry and chips and a brownie.

Have to get back on the game when I get home from work and into the weekend. Wouldn't be surprised if I've put on weight this week.

MillieMoodle · 14/09/2018 13:00

Well done Camden!

I had some raspberry vodka chocolate last night which is amazing but yesterday was a bit of a write off.

Today has been quite good by my standards - blueberry and raspberry pancake for breakfast with a bit of golden syrup. Lunch is fruit & fibre cereal, a banana and a yoghurt. Not sure about dinner yet. Have had no sugar in my coffee and have resisted a doughnut as well. Also went out for a walk on my lunchbreak and am up to 5,400 steps already which is good for me!

SodTheBloodyLotOfThem · 14/09/2018 20:24

Raspberry vodka chocolate sounds amazing, where did you get it?

Day 1 has been fine. Scrambled egg and toast, a small portion of nuts and grapes, 3 chipolata sausages, a few oven chips and lots of veg, melon medley, and lots of cups of tea. If I can hold off breakfast until it's almost lunchtime, then have dinner with the DC and stay out of the kitchen afterwards, I'm laughing.

camdenlock · 14/09/2018 21:52

I've had a good day today on the food front.

Been sorting out my autumn clothes and washing coats and cleaning muddy winter boots. Got loads of stuff ready for the charity shop, I have been really brutal with my clothes in anticipation of a thinner me. Being busy really takes your mind of snacking all day long. Grin

CampariSpritz · 15/09/2018 08:41

Morning all, lovely sunny early Autumn day here. Thanks for the nice wishes.

My main vice is chocolate too. I can’t seem to get through the evening without a bit. Not a big boozer but (funnily enough) I do like a couple of Campari spritzes or fizz on a Friday or Saturday night. Don’t get out much as the nippers are very small but we have got into a bad takeaway habit on a Friday night, which I am trying to curb. Quite expensive and very often not even very good. But main aim is to cut down on sugar and eat more healthily, not always easy as up and down in the night with DS (ten weeks old).

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

MillieMoodle · 15/09/2018 12:32

@SodTheBloodyLotOfThem it's by a company called Wickedly Welsh Chocolate Company, they are based in Haverfordwest. A bit pricey but omg it's worth it. I can't expressed in words how amazing the chocolate is. It's dark chocolate too, so that's definitely healthy, right?

Doing ok so far today - coco pops for breakfast, cheese sandwich for lunch. No snacks and have been quite active today as it's a day of football in our house!
