...It's on. My friends mum saw me today and thought I was pregnant (to be fair DH and I are trying which she knows so it's not such a stretch but yeah 🙈) and I've had enough.
I'm 5"6 and 13st, biggest I've ever been and I have a tiny frame do it looks awful, I have friends much bigger than me that look great but I look like the Hunny Monster!
Not setting goals just hoping to be sensible and to usey exercise bike and twist n shape more than I usey pint glass and takeaway menu.
All welcome - Join me and let's get to a better place by Christmas eve 🎄✨☃️❄️

Hi all! Great to see so many people joining us - didn't expect the numbers that have joined but wishing you all success! We have a decent amount of time between now and then so it's just a case of keeping on keeping on...

So I caved today and made a somewhat dubious purchase 🙈 Great reviews everywhere and currently half price at Holland and Barratt, £14.49 for 7 days. I'll review here as the week progresses. My big downfall is night time munching so I'm hoping this will help...

Goodluck everyone!

One week down and I have lost 5lbs. I'm very happy Grin

MillieMoodle · 16/09/2018 09:30

Ooh well done Camden! That's amazing!

I had chocolate cake and a glass of wine last night but did just short of 10,000 steps yesterday so I'm not feeling too bad about it. Got a day out today so there will be lots of walking.

Happy Sunday everyone Grin

MsForestier · 16/09/2018 13:30

Well done Camden!

camdenlock · 16/09/2018 14:27

Thanks you two.

ChristinaMarlowe · 16/09/2018 16:12

Well done Camden, that's awesome, just think what you'll have achieved in a month and so much time left between then and Christmas eve!
I completely slacked for a week between creating this thread and my post yesterday, you've really inspired me to stick to it with your progress this week 🙂

Don't give up if there's a week where you lose nothing. I found the weight loss for me ebbed and flowed. Some weeks I lost nothing, others a little and then some weeks had significant movement downwards. It's not a straight line down but a zig zag.

Countdownto40 · 16/09/2018 19:49

Well done @camdenlock!

CampariSpritz · 16/09/2018 19:54

Well done Camden, that is excellent!

Also late but had some big changes lately and am feeling squishy. Gotta be careful thanks to a chronic illness, as I don't absorb nutrients well. I get the choice of a bit fatter than I'd like and lovely nails/hair, or slim and basically dessicated! I'd like to try and find the midpoint. I have been gymming it hard, and lifting a lot of weights, but moved house and lost my nice gym. Not found another yet. 5ft 7in and 73 kg. Size 12. I look best at 68 kg ish, which makes me a pleasant size 10.

TheGateauIsInTheChateau · 16/09/2018 20:35

I’m game. Down 34lbs since DD born end of May. I’d like to lose about 5-10lbs by Christmas

5’5 and 13.13 (thanks to food poisoning yesterday evening).

Seth · 17/09/2018 08:22

Christina I'm in for a dubious purchase.. do you mind sharing which one? I pass an H and B on my way to work! .. I had a complete fail weekend so now back on it on Monday morning. It's so easy to undo the hard work from during the week isn't it? Camden great work!

PoesyCherish · 17/09/2018 10:14

After an atrocious week eating (cookies, takeaway and then yesterday a large roast dinner) I have put on weight. I'm now 8 st 10.5 lbs Shock

petalsandstars · 17/09/2018 12:47

I’ve lost 1lb this week, that’s good motivation for me to keep plugging away. Abstaining is better than having a little as I struggle to stop the bad stuff if I start. Birthday treats at work is a downfall for me due to the guilt factor.

camdenlock · 17/09/2018 13:12

Petal I have to abstain too. Just one square of chocolate will set me off and I won't be able to stop and before I know it I've consumed 1000 calories within five minutes.

DoodleMumm · 17/09/2018 14:39

One week in and I've lost 7lb so that will keep me motivated when I'm drinking sparkling water and everyone else is on wine! Smile

lrh3891 · 17/09/2018 14:46

Ooh can I join? I was in great shape before I got pregnant, stayed in great shape throughout pregnancy, dropped down to below my pre-pregnancy weight within a month, then BOOM, the sugar addiction started and I gained a stone! And I can not seem to break the bad habits and get rid of the weight.

So. 5'7" and 152lb/10 stone 12. Size 12 but would love to be the lower end of a size 10 and not just because all my clothes are a size 10 and I don't want to replace them

So I'm in. Hello!

Does anyone have any good healthy vegetarian recipes to share? I'm not vegetarian, but I have a really good repertoire of non-veggie recipes and would like to start trying to eat less meat. Maybe 3 veggie days per week.

camdenlock · 17/09/2018 15:35

Well done Doodle that is a fantastic loss. Keep it up.

Wow some really big losses this week, well done!

I had fruit and fibre for breakfast, crackerbread and some dairylea for lunch and sausage, mash and beans for dinner. I had a couple of biscuits at work too as its that TOTM and I have got a banging headache. Went out for a walk at lunch though and planning to have an apple later if I'm hungry instead of chocolate.

lrh3891 · 17/09/2018 22:02

I had an absolutely bloody dreadful day today, after spending the entire weekend on my own with my dc (who is 2) and sliding back on to the snacking bandwagon, which I had so successfully abandoned.

DC has a biscuit? Mummy has a biscuit! DC has a little kinder bar? Mummy has a little kinder bar! (I do actually feed dc very healthily most of the time but is currently in a very difficult phase where buggy cooperation can be achieved only with snack based bribery 🙄)

I did go to the gym this morning so that's a plus. Am aiming for 4 x per week. But omg after starting the day well with porridge, I ended up snacking on HALF A PACKET of biscuits (admittedly a very small packet), a little kinder bar left over from the weekend, and peanuts while I was making DC dinner. I'm so fucking annoyed with myself.

Still, I haven't had a drink since last week, so that's a plus.

(I realise that makes me sound like I have some sort of problem...I don't, but I had got into a bad habit of having a glass of wine or two most evenings after DC bedtime.

Here's to a better day tomorrow- chin chin and night night Brew

MillieMoodle · 17/09/2018 22:19

@lrh3891 don't feel too bad. My apple turned into not an apple but custard creams, party rings, a Jaffa cake bar and some more raspberry vodka chocolate. FFS. Tomorrow is another day! We will do better!

Countdownto40 · 17/09/2018 22:44

I had a brilliant day until I went to a friend's and ate a second dinner and chocolate Blush

camdenlock · 18/09/2018 06:54

Thanks for those who were a little naughty yesterday!

Whenever I nearly cave and pig out, I go and look at my fatness in the full length mirror just to remind myself why I'm doing this Grin

I'm just so fed up with how I look and it's making me determined to deal with it.

Good luck today ladies.
