Getting slim over the summer failed so how about less fat before Christmas?

I had great intentions at the beginning of the summer but the barbecues and the wine and the ice cream and the generally being out of routine ruined all that.

Well technically me being a greedy shite ruined it !!

So my next goal is Christmas.

I need to lose 3 stone and I am going to be realistic for a change and look at a stone and a half by then.

Anyone care to join me ?

And if you could hang around and give me a kick every now and then that would be great too !

I am having chicken black bean stir fry. I have some of the simply cook kits left so using one of those.

Have spoken to dh and told him about the less booze thing so we are going to do it together which should help.

Our meals are normally pretty good . It's the snacks , booze and lack of exercise that ruins me.

I'm in Smile I never lose weight over the summer. I've managed to essentially maintain this summer at least - I'd normally have gained loads!

So I'm 3st 7lbs off so far, having maintained, and want an extra 2st off by this time next year. 1st of that by Christmas would be nice.

I keep starting then failing :( and I go on a bloody 10 day all inclusive holiday tomorrow Hmm but when I get back I am SO on it.

@cherryheath we're having grilled garlic and herb chicken pieces with salad. DH is also making a potato salad with mayo.

I calorie counted for a while Howlongtillbedtime but it was absolute hell when life was busy so I changed to Slimming World after the first stone was off. The cooking from proper ingredients and eating a good amount of veg version of Slimmimg World rather than the Muller Light and Mug Shot version Wink

I lost 1.5 stone between Jan and June, little by little.
But then something upsetting happened and I went completely off the rails and started eating whatever I wanted including loads and loads of ice cream over the summer. I think I've put about half of it back on in the space of two months.
So need to get myself back to where I was.

Right, I’m all set for weigh in and a new start tomorrow. I’ve just made a big pan of red lentil and tomato soup so tomorrow I plan to have:

B - poached egg and spinach on wholemeal toast
L - soup with rolled up ham and cucumber slices to dip in (sounds gross but is actually really nice)
D - bacon and courgette pasta

I’m working til 7.30pm tomorrow night so will make the pasta in the morning so it’s ready to eat when I get home. I’m going to snack on fruit and maybe a yoghurt and I’ll make sure I drink at least 2 litres of water. I’m following slimming world and everything that I will have eaten through the day is Syn free so if I get the munchies at night I can have something to satisfy my sweet tooth if I want to using my syns.

I’ve lost 14lbs since 25/7 by calorie counting. Really surprised myself by sticking to it.

I need to up the ante though, I have a big event to go to in December and I know I won’t be thin by then but I’d like to have dropped 2 dress sizes. Currently a size 22 so 18 is the aim!

I'm up for it! I often join these groups and then life gets in the way and I fail to lose anything, or lose and bit and then gain it.

I am happy for a Mon morning weigh in, starting tomorrow.

I had the best of intentions to go back to school/work slimmer after 6 weeks off. But I put my efforts into decorating the house and spending some time with the DC, so the diet got shelved. And the fitness centre I go to that runs fitness classes had so many classes cancelled due to bank hols/instructor holidays and swapping of instructors to ones that aren't very good, that I didn't attend many classes.

I will be...

  • Fitting in 2 or 3 fitness classes a week at the local fitness centre now they are back to normal.
  • Shopping more mindfully and planning for eating dinners.
  • Aiming to stop snacking after meals in the evening as that's my real downfall.

I’m in, 3 stone roughly to lose. Following calorie counting within an 8 hour window and some exercise... been a right pig over summer and feel awful. Will weigh tomorrow and start, good luck all. We can do this!

I am so pleased to see more people joining. My plan is to take one day at a time. I am in really bad habits that have taken years to create and I know this is not going to be an easy fix.

So my plan for tomorrow is
No boozing
Boiled egg for breakfast
Gym
Soup for lunch
Not sure about dinner yet .
Meal plan for the week is also a job for tomorrow.
Back to work on Tuesday and I am hoping the routine of school will help.

Oh yes and I will brave the scales of doom tomorrow too ........ Shock

I'll join if I may. I think I have about 1.5- 2st to lose.

My eating habits are generally ok, but my weakness is the savoury and salty. Sugary foods I can take or leave, and I'm completely teetotal but let me loose with a bag of pork and pickle pies and it's disaster!

I'm going to stick to mainly clean unprocessed foods, I'm not going to low carb but I am going to avoid pasta, bread, white rice etc. And I'm going to use MFP to record my foods because at 5ft 1and age 43 I have come to realise that for me, the only way to lose or even not put on weight nowadays, is to keep calories at around 1200. That's not to say I won't eat more if I'm hungry but that level as a general rule of thumb.

I'm also going to avoid gluten and most dairy because I've realised my digestion is better when I do. Gawd I sound like a right barrel of laughs lol!

Weigh day in the morning then!

I started being healthier two weeks ago and I have lost 5lbs. I put on 2 stone over the last two years due to thyroid issues. I want to lose another 23lbs for Christmas [santa]

This thread has come at just the right time for me. Can I join in please?
I plan to follow the 5:2, so a fast day for me today.
I'm on a 6:30-2 shift at work, so plan to take my break at around 12:30, and have got a big bottle of squash in my bag. No food until dinner at around 5pm, which will be a quorn tikka masala and cherry tomatoes. Just had a nice coffee to give me a caffeine boost!
I weighed in this morning at 11st 11lb. I want to lose a stone to begin with. Not setting any unrealistic goals!

I'm in, climbing back on the weight watchers wagon as of today.

Turning 30 in Feb and would like to be 2 1/2 - 3 stone lighter. 👌🏻

Meal plan for today is;

B: porridge
L: also red lentil and tomato soup
D: at a friend's, plan is for risotto.

I've reached my limit now, I look pregnant and I've had to take my wedding ring off my pork little fingers. 3 stone would be amazing but I'd be happy with 2.

So the plan is

C25K

No booze Sun - Thurs
Porridge for breakfast
Soup or eggs for lunch
NO SNACKS
High protein, veggie dishes that are easy to make alongside or as the family meal.

Hmm...think I might need to work on that last bit

I am actually feeling a bit excited. How long will that last before I am fed up and starving ?
I have weighed and it is from
14:2 !! Bloody hell !!

I am having a coffee but my gym gear is ready and I am going about 9 .
Back to work tomorrow so will make the most of my last day.
running that is so frustrating. I can't believe you did a half marathon yesterday and feel the need to diet. Surely all that running means you stay slim?

I am starting new job on monday having had a year at home with tge fridge. SW doesnt work for me. I am going to try 16/8 and 1600 cals from next monday. I am about 11st7 but only 5 1 and carry every extra oz on my bust belly and back!
